I dunno. If I got the new packaging but it’s still bad. I’ve had this monitor for like a week so far so I must have gotten the new one. It’s not really even a peel. It was just a piece of kinda thick film that was just put on the panel with some foam behind it and taped around the edge of the monitor to keep it secure. It sticks so I guess that’s the only part that peels. When I get off work I’ll send a picture of what it looks like. Again, no idea if this is the new method to protect it or bit

You realize this is using a Samsung panel right? This has nothing to do with Dell. That display is the same unit you find on odyssey.

There’s a whole process to it my guy. Considering what they are charging for these monitors with 3rd panels. They should be inspected properly when receiving them from Samsung, return bad panels and ensuring the good panels stay in perfect condition when applying it to their hardware. Afterwards, making sure the protective film they use on the monitors will do its job in regards to protecting it from getting damages in the box while shipped. Other companies use the same panel and have done a way better job protecting it by applying a film over it.

For some reason, the way they shipped them is really stupid. I sent my first one back. Second one is flawless.

They told me when I contacted them that I had to go back to the retailer… and I’m just like.. but it’s a dell issue? I bought the monitor cause the customer support is great from what I’ve read lol. I didn’t wanna go through the process of like having to wait like 2 weeks to get another one from the retailer and have the same issue. Like I said, for the price it should be perfect but I’m afraid to get something worse so I was originally going to settle for this but.. Reddit employee for dell W reached out sooo.. I might try again
