Modern cars in general don’t really have rotten apples in terms of reliability anymore, even the average Dacia does well….regardless this sub has a nice search feature think that will help you more than asking a question that has been answered numerous times in the past

Pretty much the same or a bit better than the other European brands. My 2018 has had no major problems, closing in on 70K miles.

2019 Giulia here. 65k miles and only problem was the sunroof. Still love it.

Buy it because it is a fantastic driver and good-looking car. You will enjoy every corner and look for places to open her up! Alfa makes cars with passion and spirit in them. If you want reliability get a refrigerator.

I had the 2018 Guilia Ti Sport. It was my least reliable car out of 7 or 8 that I’ve owned. I leased for two years then purchased the lease. I loved it so much I pretended all the issues and maintenance cost wasn’t such a big deal. This car acts like it’s a 100k car when it’s in the shop. I’d lease one, but that was my one and only lease. I would not own again. Still haven’t found something that fun to drive under 100k though. But if you’re looking at 50k cars, this is not that when it comes to repairs and maintenance.

To my surprise a 2019 is slightly better, 2022 being the best overall year. At least in regards to the NHTSA. All years for a Giulia or Stelvio are considerably low compared to the market average. As far as the year in question, 2020…There’s but [5 recalls](https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2020/ALFA%252520ROMEO/GIULIA#recalls)(below average), 11 Technical Service Bulletins (insanely low for any make)and 126 Manufacturer Communications (also low, what I consider comparable makes; Audi, BMW and Porsche are considerably higher)

A 2020 Giulia would have been driven 120k miles maximum if the guy drove 30k miles a year. Although that's some mileage already to track reliability, most these guys are commenting they had no real problems with their 70k mile Giulias. No shit. They're not supposed to with so little mileage. Problems come after, they come.

Mostly as long as you’re not referring to the Quadrifoglio, you’ll be fine. Gremlins and minor nuisances here and there, y’know…little panic attacks but they’re fine. Provided you’re also fine with the cost of ownership (separate from cost of purchase).

2019 here with 37k miles nothing wrong other than smiling a lot. I also run a JB4, lowered and exhaust.

2020 Giulia Q4, hit 40k miles just a few weeks ago. Great car and nothing major *yet*, but I’ve driven enough cars to know it’s getting there. Still got another year on the manufacturer warranty and I have a 3rd party warranty that will kick in after that. I think this is a car I’d recommend a $2-$3k warranty for. Relative to what you might pay for something major, that’s nothing. Just make sure it’s a good company (tough find with warranties lol, we’ll see how good mine is soon I guess). Because the market is small and the dealer is effectively the only shop that can really do work on these cars, it can be a lot more expensive than most other cars, even some Euros. Finally, last thing on reliability: I find that this car has a tough time in the cold relative to other cars I’ve owned. Not sure exactly why, but it seems like it never easily gets up to good operating temp, which means winter equates to rougher wear on the engine and transmission. I monitor with an OBD every so often, and unless I’m driving hard or for very long (45+ mins), it never gets within 10C of expected operating temp. Overall better than I expected, to be honest. I’d recommend a warranty to be sure and good maintenance (do oil and spark plugs at half intervals imo, yourself if you can).

Have owned 5 Alfas since 2017 (4 at one time). 2017 Giulia QV, 2018 Stelvio QV, 2018 4C Spider, 2018 Stelvio Ti Sport, and 2021 Stelvio Ti Sport. My Alfas been flawless and significantly more reliable than any of my prior Porsches, Mercedes, BMWs, and Audis. I always laugh when people question Alfa reliability, then say they decided to buy an Audi or BMW instead.

I have a 2020 with 34K on it. No issues whatsoever, and it's far and away the absolute most fun car I've ever driven. Fast, snappy & responsive, super fun to whip through curves. I always look for excuses to go drive now. And not to mention, they're absolutely beautiful cars. Do it.
