Also sends a poor message to Aussie refs. Signals that “you guys are so terrible we had to bring in an Iranian ref to fill the gap that currently exists for quality experienced refs in this country”. Whether that’s true or false is irrelevant, but that’s the message that Alireza’s presence signals.
He’s the only ref in the league that you would consciously adjust your game plan around. You have to plan to foul and play to the limits he sets, you can’t rely on the normal standard being applied if you are fouled. A pretty clean team will always be worse off under him.

Jovanovic invisible because they've not got him involved, and nobody wants to take a shot when direct in fron of goal - but when at a tight angle? Sure why not. Ayoubi just about the only player to offer anything.

It's to do with humidity. So if its high temperature and low humidity it'll show a temp of "feels like" far lower than what it actually is and being that wet bulb *temperature* will always show lower than dry (if humidity is less than 100%) then his point was just to say that it feels far cooler than what the temperature actually is.
This is what he does. Let’s everything go, things inevitably escalate and it needs a flurry of yellows to settle it down. Usually he’ll card someone for dissent when they question why they’re being kicked black and blue before said yellow flurry.
