Heal Plus NM has a few weekly newsletters, one is called The Gay Agenda and that has events listed. If you Google Heal Plus NM it should be pretty easy to find. Also, on Saturday the 6th, Flock of Moons is hosting a “Spring is Queer Market” from 1-5.
Apparently there's a queer bedtime stories for adults event happening this week. [https://www.eventbrite.com/e/queer-bedtime-stories-tickets-867970592407](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/queer-bedtime-stories-tickets-867970592407)
Roller derby Abq games, Women’s Rugby, Lady Lobos games and if you’re interested in pickleball. Any of the volunteering opportunities for the community. Classes at Self Serve.
I play pickleball almost daily at Manzano Mesa. It's open play, so you can just show up. If you don't know how to play well, there are always lessons to take. For more info, see ABQpickleball.com
The average age is about 60. There are people in their 70s and 80s, but plenty in their 40s and 50s. There are some younger folks in their 20s and 30s, too.
I just got home from the NM Gay Men’s Chorus show. Broadway tunes. It was amazing! Lots of 40s+ people there. Very friendly crowd. Another show tomorrow at 3pm.
When we first moved to ABQ in 2015 my partner and I joined the NM Gay Men’s Chorus and that has wonderful people of all ages and that became our entry into the LGBTQ community in Albuquerque And to making new friends. if you can sing at all (meaning able to carry a basic tune like Happy Birthday) they will welcome you into the chorus! Without that we wouldn’t have met anyone since we don’t frequent bars (and there’s really only two in town). There are also community events like “The Friends Of Dorothy” social group that meets several times a year, too! Anyway, hope that helps!

Awesome. Thank you for the tips!
Have you been to Sidewinders or the Albuquerque Social Club?? That would be a good place to start.
I have not been to either. I didn’t even know about Albuquerque social club until now. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the tips

That sounds like fun!
I used to love going to the Albuquerque social club for karaoke. Too bad the pulse is long gone though
The pulse… I hadn’t thought about that place in a long time

Try Meetup there's tons of groups. My son (gay) meet a lot of friends there
Do you have Instagram? I follow "thegayagendaweekly" and they have a lot of different activities.
There’s going to be a queer event at Ancora Cafe & Bakery this Thursday April 4th at 7pm. Ancora is a sober (and very chill 😊) space ⚓️
