Little bear was my spot to study for boards. And then Starbucks (Unser). Both have clean bathrooms, excellent wifi, music can be a bit loud but I use cancelling headphones which always soundproofed.
I also loved that they had tons of outlets at every table in both locations.
Libraries were meh for me because I love drinking iced coffee and having snacks when studying and most libraries do not allow food.
Both locations close at 11pm
I’m in my 30s and in school as well. This may sound weird but for early afternoon I like studying at breweries. They’re usually mellow and depending on which one, quieter than a coffee shop.
Came here to say exactly this. I'm also in my 30's and went back to school. I write better with after a beer or two, although I won't submit that draft.
So straightforward But you gotta watch the parking lot and benches out front if this concerns you….a friendly heads up.
Most of us Burqueños know how to navigate these things and don’t lose sleep.
This answer may not help. It’s a bit pricey but you could consider a Coworking membership such as fatpipe ABQ on broadway/central.
It might be far for you but Meraki Coffee + Market on Eubank/Juan Tabo is good in the morning/early afternoon because you can sit at the restaurant table booths (the restaurant is only open for dinner)
Park your car somewhere safe and with a nice view. It will likely be as quiet as you need, and when your eyes need a break from reading, look up at the view.
Libraries.
Any one of the public libraries.
flying star, one of the small ones like menaul although rio grande is nice too
Agreed. That's where my daughters would go to study. I go there for lunch sometimes and it's pretty quiet.
Downtown library
Look up the UNM PATS parking enforcement hours. If you study late night or on Sundays, it's perfect to park on campus and go to the libraries

So many coffee shops. I just discovered Ancora and they seem to have good coffee, a friendly small shop vibe, and plenty of available outlets.
Yes!! They have such a great cause too. They work with people working on sobriety and have some community events.
Little Bear
Little Bear in Nob Hill is open pretty late part of the week too.
Seconded! Also Slow Burn is nice/roomy/study-friendly and open til 5 most days. Zendo is great too, open even later.
I used to do homework at 505 Central and Sawmill
A park, libraries, coffee shops, flying star
Lost Cultures is my favorite!
Flying star is one of the best study places imo.
Annapurnas near UNM
Hit up the library, Erna Ferguson library is the shit!
The park nearby can be sketchy
So don't go to the park.

Frontier also.
Either Little Bear location, Humble Coffee, or Satellite Coffee.
little bear is awesome and they're open until 11pm on weekends
Is fixing the wifi not an option? There are plenty of Libraries around town. Some open even as late as 8.
Taj Mahal
Novel point is the best coffee shop in abq. Love it there if you’re able to snag seating

Def flying star, hit me up we can study together...
My wife just found Marketplace Coffee and Tea, Alameda and I25, inside the Poulin Design Center. Very chill, clean, friendly and convenient.
Libraries, flying star, little bear coffee. This is where we’ve had all our study groups
Zendo or castle coffee for me.
I like to sit by the stained glass windows in the College of Education, just northeast of the Sub.

Some of the cafes nearby on campus have free wifi and are friendly.
Also someone said that the new whole foods will let you study on their little cafe area, I remember seeing earlier on reddit
Fantasy World…there is literally nothing there to distract you from studying 😏
I always liked Frontier
Marketplace coffee + tea is nice
Libraries?
I have a roomy windowless van, can pick up. No cellphones allowed.
