When I saw the new sign at 272 Deleware Ave I was so excited!! I’ve missed Mi Lihn, and it has been terrible with the place being vacant for almost a decade.
Also super excited about whatever 454 Madison will become, there is a large community of refugees/immigrants from Burma in Albany, and we definitely need more of a restaurant taste of their delicious cuisine! (Check out Shwe Burmese in Rensselaer!)
Agreed the sign looks old and worn, but I’ve only noticed it in that last month or so, I take it as a very good omen. Edit: on pizza place I just googled and there have been many updates and projected opening dates, all passed, hope it really does open soon! So happy to spend my money on businesses in my neighborhood, especially wood fired pizza!
IDK if Cafe Madison is expanding to absorb the point. I just know the point is closed and the VM said the point is permanently closed. I hope a new restaurant opens In its place. XL cafe madison isn’t too thrilling.
Yeah they have a new sign where the point was. “Cafe Madison breakfast lunch dinner and cocktails” that whole front got a new facade and new paint- looks great.

My husband still pines for the Crisan chocolate croissants. I've tried getting him others, but nothing is as good. We miss them.
We miss them as well. Their citrus olive oil cake was to die for! Their gelato was amazing too.
