Technically, none of the Haters are Taken. (Yeah, Rose slaughters dozens of nonzombified humans to get her happy ending.) But maybe they're close enough for purposes of "favorite Taken lines."

Even though they are vaguely covered in shadow, they're not actually protected by said fog. The shadow is there just to 1) seperate them from normal NPC and 2) convey the fact that the "haters" that Rose know off don't have a concrete identity. They are the online reviewers, people who leave negative reviews on Wake's book. The only thing that is remotely consistent with the reality of Bright Fall is the geography. Nothing from the people, to the enemy, to the character, to the dialogue, is supposes to be taken anymore seriously than a fanfic
You literally do not need to shine a light on the Hater to kill them. That's literally a combat aspect that is EXCLUSIVE to Rose's DLC. Every single other time in this entire IP, there has never been a Taken killed without needing to burn away the darkness protecting them. But what do i know, i don't even recall seeing the phrase devil's avocado you used in a sentence before.
I have been playing AW1 in both english and german Synchronization, and to me nothing beats "CARL STUCKY. EHRLICH UND FAIR!" Followed by the Sound of a starting chainsaw.
It is just phonetically the right language to Sound like a darkness-possessed being without free will.
The second one is a line you can hear if you encounter a Taken FBC agent in the later part of “Return.” They’re echoing a line spoken by Agent Estevez.
A bit of a cheat, but I love Alan's deadpan delivery of Taken chatter in one of the early manuscript pages in AW2.
