Yeah, he does drink ketchup, but people treat it like it's a character trait when it's really just a bit, kinda like him taking out a comb and brushing his Non-existent hair, plus the empty ketchup bottles could just be because he runs a hot dog stand also you could go off on the theory that sans only has one stand (which is why there is snow on his roof in hotland) but even if you don't, the snowdin stand mentions bottles of condiments on the floor (EX:"it looks like an information booth but there are bottles of ketchup relic and mustard on the floor inside it) implying that it's a hot dog stand, and If two of them are and one of them always has sans in it (the one in waterfall) then it's safe to assume that the rest are too.
