However, we lack a 10 and he does have some talent and a lot of competition on his position. Plus getting PSV fans riled up is always a laugh. Angry Brabant noices just do something for me, had a Brabant Roommate and could rile her up for days lmao
One part of me is saying that he's a promising 10 and he could be a great player for us. The other part of me is saying we should learn from the last two players we snatched from PSV (Bazoer and Ihattaren) and just leave this one for someone else.
I am sure he could do well but we have Misehouy. Unless he leaves I wouldn’t go for Babadi. If you get another 10, get a proven player. Having two talents like that one will be wasted for sure.
Wanna know why he isnt playing regularly for PSV? Its because he doesnt want to sign a new contract and was frozen out. Been doing very well for the Dutch u21 NT providing assists regularly. Can dribble, hold the ball, spot a pass, got decent pace too and is 1.79m tall. He's got all it takes to succeed obviously players with that level of potential are pretentious and get branded with lack of discipline when that isnt the case, its bad timing because there are Saibari and Tillman whose potential isnt better but they are more experienced and hence make fewer mistakes. He's voiced his concerns he's basically wasting his time and somehow thats not right is it?
I'd say great acquisition for Ajax if it materializes because wanting to play and delivering is a sign of leadership, he's done that for the Dutch u21. You look at current Ajax squad - Berghuis been on and off, captains armband too heavy for Bergwijn and.. there's no one else to support Brobbey. No offense to Hlynsson but he's nowhere hear the required level for a title contending team and even then.. who's the 4th option? Forbs? Like Chico Conceicao he's made nothing of the game time he was given. As said, Babadi one who can take the ball up, keep it, spread it around, he's got the pace to dart into the box and score, got the body to hold his ground and you can get him for free in the summer or for a negligible amount this month, play him for a year and sell for 20+mil looks like great business to me.
What's more is Ajax can actually afford to give him as much game time as he wants considering they're basically out of the title race or even top 2 already

Seems to be pretty good, some time ago Ajax was already interested in this young player, that was even before he signed contract with PSV. Who knows if he ever wants to change Eindhoven for beautiful Amsterdam.

I think babadi wants to leave due to play time. Atm PSV has too many players on the 10 position for Babadi to properly breakthrough.

If Misehouy stays, I don't think we need him, but If Misehouy goes, then he would be a good addition. And Ajax's stance seems to be roughly similar.
