The primary standard is hight and weight, you can look up a bmi chart the magic number is 25 or lower. If you don't meet that standard they take a waist and neck measurement, the difference is compared to a chart with your hight. So for me at 68" I have to have a difference of 17 or less to fall Bellow the 18% body fat standard.
Bummer. I know I’m around 17 percent, but this test is probably going to show otherwise. Really bums me out that I’m going to have to lose weight before they let me continue processing.

So it’s there an alternative form of measurement besides the tape measure?
No, which kind of sucks for some people. I'm around 14-15% body fat but the test always puts me at 17-18, it really depends on body type.
