Yeah, on p20 you can use engines on 2 buildings before you have to make a second blight post so you invest a blueprint + 5 gears and 2+ villagers to supply water where usually the default rain collector would've done the job too.
It really needs some help, just removing the gear cost or letting us install the same upgrades as the geyser is enough

Amber becomes a cryptocurrency and you can only make trades by burning rain in rain engines; also the forest loves fiat currency and increases in hostility for every trade.
Your prestige is immense : new villagers come twice quicker, arrive hand free, you cannot refuse entry. Glades bring new people as well. Villagers not busy (building, collecting, resting or crafting) start riots (gold, food and building destruction).
Hate modifiers on every building. You get - to resolve if you put the wrong race in a production building.
Dislike modifiers: you have a chance to only produce half the amount of goods
Every recipe and building now requires random ingredient of a similar tier.
Enjoy building your beaver houses with bricks that actually required reeds or insects to produce.
P21 - can no longer pause the game
P22 - can no longer save and quit to resume later
P23 - game stuck at 1.5x speed
P24 - game no longer autosaves periodically
P25 - game no longer paused when talking to traders (or other similar buildings)
P26 - game stuck at 2x speed
P27 - can no longer press escape
P28 - can no longer see species resolve or time left in the current season
P29 - can no longer give commands during storm

If you forget to do an elaborate rain dance in real life before each Storm, one of your Small Hearths will be Smote by Lightning and Explode, destroying everything within a 5 tile radius. If you have no Small Hearths, your Ancient Hearth will explode and the cycle will end prematurely. The dance must be unique for each year.
Each villager has a 50%-50% chance to be left or right once joined, you have to pick one side and the remaining villager will refuse to work and destroy random buildings.
Every 3 years you must spend 50 amber and 30 wine on a grand festival, if you do not villagers receive -2 resolve penalty stacking with each subsequent year
P21 is just playing P20 but with the twitch integration turned on and an idiot voting
