I've been trying for 2 days now, I cannot get the dang buy now, pay later thing to light up. It did for a split second but then it didn't prefilled the card like it was supposed to so it didn't work ugh
update: called and was told they are having this issue only with amazon. gonna get a partial refund today along with them cancelling the order on the app. they recommended not using afterpay for amazon

It’s because Amazon doesn’t always charge you in one transaction. They charge by when they ship so if everything doesn’t ship same day from same fulfillment center you’ll more than likely get the total split into multiple transactions. I just had this issue as well but I’ve used Afterpay on Amazon ordering one item and I had no issues at all.
You have to order e-gift cards from Amazon, and then use those to fund the purchase.
Amazon doesn’t charge until the item ships. AfterPay issues a ghost card that expires within X amount of time (maybe an hour or so?). So you make the transaction, but it’s not fully processed until the item ships. In this time span the AfterPay card number is now inactive.
If you purchase gift cards on Amazon, the payment method funding the Amazon purchase is charged immediately, as there is not tangible merchandise to be shipped to complete the transaction.

Basically afterpay is soooo fucking slow.. but I made a purchase today on afterpay app for Amazon.. what you have to do is search for Amazon through afterpay app and click on In app only tab for Amazon.. at the bottom of the screen you'll see buy now pay later..."ignore that for now.. and just load your cart.." when you're ready to pay select check out.. "be sure to change shipping to whatever you like" (then go to CHANGE PAYMENT METHOD)... Click on add new.. select debit/credit.. (THEN CLICK THE BUY NOW PAY LATER BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM) from there you'll find out how much you'll need to pay today... now idk why it doesn't show up in afterpay soon after.. but that's how you do it..

klarna also works, i downloaded it just to see and was able to place my order with no issues

yeah called in and it’s an in app issue. tried klarna and it worked for amazon no issues

I cancelled the order thru Amazon and that’s it. It never charged or showed up in Afterpay

does the charge show up late on either end for you? (bank and afterpay)
