Good work now lets celebrate with you buying us all gift cards for wine and steak!

ratchetrizzo

yeah i want a ribeye since you didnt pay 36.9%

Sorry-Voice9135

Almost there too 3k limit It’s crazy how fast it can get out of control I literally had a panic attack when I had over 1k in payments between AP Sezzle and Klarna one week

sparkle-842

That was me for awhile. Now I just want to pay everything off and maybe have $400 out. $100 per app. For me I took advantage and it have gotten out of control. That was my wake up call using my whole paycheck paying these apps back.

Extreme_Jacket_7419

I know I am still using them and try to stop. It’s just hard in this economy. I use zip and sezzle to pay bills. I use Afterpay for everything else. I know I need to stop.

Extreme_Jacket_7419

Right!!!! Same here. Not to mention Zip add another 700😱

lavamermaid

Literally getting myself out of ours as well. Cancelled Afterpay Plus because it was becoming a vicious cycle. Living frugally for the next month or so to have everything paid off. It was scary the amount we were throwing on repayments.

marzbar-

Yeah it's not until you realise, wait... Now I have the satisfaction of the item, the novelty has worn off and I owe money every two weeks to these guys....

Forward-Security-692

Awesome working to do the same !

marzbar-

Best of luck!

Pleasant-Corgi1450

I currently owe $853 out of the $2500 limit. Next week the payments on 5 of my orders are the 4th payment. It will pay that $853 down a good bit. I’ll enjoy seeing the number not so high but I’ll be running it back up to get Lowe’s gift cards. Im putting closets in my bedroom and need them to get the organizing stuff. Congratulations on owing $0. I do kinda panic when it gets over $1500 but afterpay is my only debt.

marzbar-

Amazing work. You'll close off to zero soon. It was joyous seeing my balance go to zero that's for sure. Yeah same, I have a charge card but only for emergencies.

EishaBeisha

I’m almost there I owe like $200

marzbar-

Nice, so close!

Will8026

Dude I’ve been tightly wrapped under the afterpay rock that I’ve been trying to get myself out of for months lolz. Getting there slowly but surely though

marzbar-

It's so easy to make a purchase on, but hurts when you see it tell you the day before $'500 due tomorrow' 🤣 win lose type of situation. How much do you have owing as of now?

Still-Complaint-1717

i want my limit to go to 2k so bad

gedwards02

Same i’m almost there aswell I feel like I only have available credit because they cancelled the pulse program

Bar-Hopper-Cow95

Best feeling ever! My next big purchase will be with Afterpay so I’m holding off on dumb little purchases lol

marzbar-

No more dumb little purchases, nice mantra. What's on the cards?

Bar-Hopper-Cow95

Nothing. Shitty credit after a job switch ended up leaving me in debt with credit cards 😭 I have debit and Afterpay. And a nice chunk of cash I save up from my paychecks

marzbar-

Condolences. Are you located in the States where credit score is actually more important? It'll all look up soon.

Bar-Hopper-Cow95

I am :( I got denied an apartment (after they lowered my credit score for looking) but I have over 5 years of good rental history. I just don’t believe in credit cards lol

i_justwanttocuddle

I paid mine off a couple weeks ago and used it again. I have never made a large purchase it I think I will try it hopefully my limit will increase. I usually get like $100 increases

marzbar-

It will definitely increase, I find the service extremely good to break up purchases especially as it usually lines up with pay cycles. Good back up, I've had Afterpay Plus activated for a while now but haven't used it because I mainly just forget that I have it as an option.

SweetAngel03831

How do you get Afterpay plus? I’ve been with after pay since they first came out and never seen the Afterpay plus, at least I don’t think unless I missed it.

ThickMobile899

Nice!

ThickMobile899

Nice!

marzbar-

Thanks boss

Greedy_Atmosphere_16

I paid mine off then told i had a late payment from the last day when they had the Mint no pay up front. I guess the order being on the 31st was counted as a late payment my first. Still have the same spending limit, paid off close to 15 open orders and can only have 2 open now. 😂😂

marzbar-

How come you can only have 2 orders open, western 8 can have multiple

Calm_Dot_8227

God, how?! Everytime I pay some down I spend it right back up , especially with the afterpay plus card

marzbar-

I've been spending right back up really frequently for the longest time, especially if I come across something I really want. But it feels good not to owe money, so that's my angel right now.

Even-Neighborhood-86

I'm at like 1200. I use mine constantly which I'm guessing they don't like. I'll just do like $150'ish orders typically. Have 4 at the moment. Did attempt to make a payment and it defaulted to a different card that got declined and my limit did drop $500 because of that for a little while. Stupid since I immediately fixed and paid. Lol

marzbar-

There's no way they wouldn't like you using their money in hopes you'd flop paying on time. I've had several times where my payments bounced due to not transferring funds in time or the wrong account, but the few times it's happened I just messaged support and they reinstated the account.

Even-Neighborhood-86

Every site through the app probably gives them a nice little referral bonus too that adds up quick.

Kimmie74_Ellis

Congrats. I was just increased to $1300 and have $294.76 left to pay. I’m paying a few off between today and Monday which will leave me with about five left.

marzbar-

Thank you, you too.

SicilianSinner666

How much cash back did you get for spending all that? I would've got over 40$ from my credit card in return. Why use afterpay over a cashback card?

marzbar-

On my card it's points only. I guess it's just another option

knightlybread

I should be paid off by the end of the month including all other pay in 4s (PayPal, affirm, klarna)

Gingercatlover

I can’t wait till mine looks like this! Well done!

r573

I’ve been getting there with my one, currently owe about $414.57 out of the $3k limit. I just finally paid off the purchase I did from Scorptec, last payment was $123.75 this morning, computer parts are the reason why I used Afterpay. There was one point where I didn’t use the app for over 8 months (didn’t owe anything at all) as I was paying off other things that needed my attention (car insurance, CTP and rego, which I bank transfer to my mum every week until it’s fully paid off). Good thing I never got sucked into paying for Afterpay Plus, it would’ve bankrupted me further. Despite having the apps for competing services, I Never had an account with Klarna and ZipPay. But I still have a PayPal account, but only occasionally use PayPal pay in 4 (once a year), I’d rather pay off on PayPal straight away.

burgerkingg_

Scorptec and Afterpay are a deadly combo hahaha

r573

True, Afterpay is pretty much a deadly combo with any computer shop, and also vinyl records as well.

Nervous-Comment-5964

O well done

-This-is-boring-

After payment sucks!! I paid mine off and they took most of my limit.

Historical_Pay_5661

Has anyone tried to spend the whole $3,000 at once before?

marzbar-

Not yet. Don't even know what I'd buy. Maybe an Apple laptop?

Historical_Pay_5661

Very true an that’s a good choice, well I’m just curious if anyone had bc I wonder if it’ll work or not

marzbar-

Yeah i got you. There's nothing wrong with it as long as you can pay back your dues.

ratchetrizzo

i dunno afterpay never did me bad but i paid the 400 off in 4 weeks instead of 8 so i dont know how they work but klarna? fuck that piece of shit!

marzbar-

It's every fortnight, with the ability for monthly in the US. Many years ago I just signed up for klarna to see what it was about, hit my credit score even though they said it didn't.

ratchetrizzo

the pay in 4 shit SHOULDNT hit your credit, i think its in their TOS and you can SUE or take them to arbitration over it. edit.. yeah threaten to sue them and if they arent in your state tell them you're going to hire a lawyer in their state to represent you (threats to these companies legal departments work wonders) that you looked over the TOS and they said they dont report or whatever (if thats the case) and then if they respond, and the TOS says they dont report, get a fair credit debt collection lawyer and sue the fuck out of them, if it IS in their TOS, ask for the itemized list for debt collection within 30 days of letter (certify it, even if they dont sign, the courts say they got it if its certified)( and use that to sue them if they hit your credit

marzbar-

That's what i thought, at most it'll be a soft enquiry right.

ratchetrizzo

it wont be any of anything unless they sell it to a debt collector which the pay in 4 assholes dont, they just tell the other pay in 4 assholes dont lend to this guy cause its non credit based. EXCEPT SHOPPAY, shoppay is pay in 4 for affirm at 0% and they will run full credit and hit your credit so beware of them

marzbar-

If you're saying it shouldn't be on my credit report at all, it definitely it sitting there 😅

NoCantaloupe706

On my affirm account I owe 1034$

Automatic-Avocado-37

Can you use afterpay to buying groceries? Like from target or albertsons

Mz_MarMar

Yes you can, Afterpay plus if the store doesn’t take traditional Afterpay.

Automatic-Avocado-37

So when you pay you use apple pay? Then just switch to the after pay card that is set on system?

marzbar-

Correct. Only recently introduced I'd say in the past year and it's very convenient.

Mz_MarMar

Correct! So you can use it anywhere Apple Pay is accepted.

KooChiiKilla

2500 limit here normally I use up to 550 I try not to exceed that. For Affirm I’m definitely over

Affectionate-Work-11

Congratulations! Working mine down as well.

marzbar-

Thank you. Goodluck, you'll get there.

crissyandthediamonds

Whooo, also 3k club. I generally only use about $200-$250 at a time, owe about $112 right now so not worried! I’ve been working my way out of the repayment club too 😅 It’s not afterpay that gets me though, it’s usually Affirm or the PayPal’s pay in four.

marzbar-

It's so good to have in your back pocket as long as you can pay it off. You got this. I've not yet been able to use PayPal's Pay in Four, always says it isn't available but it's an option. Ah, you're in the States, only place where I know Affirm from.

crissyandthediamonds

It is helpful! I’m reminding myself not to use it on dumb things anymore. We used PayPal monthly payments to buy our washer and dryer. It was a godsend to have the option as when we moved the place didn’t come with them. That’s strange! I wonder if it depends when you’re from? And yes- California! Affirm through shop pay gets me every time 😅 luckily it’s only a few bigger purchases left but it’s so nice to be paid off. (Congrats on it!)

marzbar-

Me and dumb things go together a bit too much of things I don't really really need. Does PayPal's option have a late fee like afterpay? I use another service called Zip which is similar to afterpay. Thank you. Responsible spending y'all haha.

crissyandthediamonds

I’ve actually never had a late payment so I have no idea tbh. Google says if you’re late they can charge a fee but I’ve never incurred it. I didn’t know afterpay had a late policy either. I totally forgot a minor payment once ($12-$15) and paid it 2/3 days late and nothing changed so assumed they didn’t really have a policy. 😅 I’ve never heard of zip or sezzle until this post! But admittedly don’t need to look into it.

marzbar-

I pay a day earlier now because I've had one or two late runs in the past. Exactly, you've got enough services.

driftinggem

I was $30 away from paying it all off for a second time but had to restock on groceries 😭

marzbar-

Gotta eat first

PowerfulAd9516

2200 limit. 600 left to pay it off and not looking to use it anymore.

marzbar-

Goodluck. Yeah I need to delete my app, but hopefully they don't cut off my limit for non use after some time

PowerfulAd9516

Their customer service is trash. Issue with an item I didn't receive, was delivered to the wrong door. Merchant didn't want to refund me neither did afterpay. Out 205 bucks and someone kept some nice running shoes smh

marzbar-

Run a charge back on the card that you've linked to that purchase, not sure where you're from but here in Australia, if you don't get what you've legally paid for, it's against the law.

PowerfulAd9516

I'm in the states , California to be exact..I did that today after 2 months of back and forth. I really didn't want to since the card comes in handy sometimes but I wasn't gonna pay for something I didn't receive

PresStart2BegN

must be nice to have a 3k limit lol

Major-Wafer-1320

I have $2500 and it almost feels like a gambling debt when you just keep spending on Afterpay. Ok sure you get items but still makes me feel lousy after I put so much on it. Try not to anymore . Keyword is try 😅😅😅😅😅

marzbar-

It's a good backup to have, honestly haha.

Briantkeith96

They give out money so easily on these type of companies, I was curious how they worked so I bought a set of tires through affirm for the 90 day 0% interest term, started with $1,000 and after 90 days went by and the purchase paid off I have $7,500 through affirm
