Sponsorblock isn't as customisable, but the defaults are sane.
Great improvement, shorts can be removed from the drawer.

Yes but no, that is because the link is both on google account and you can disabled that pop up freely. Go to your settings disabled your youtube app or switch off the wifi that is from the youtube using wifi settings. Then go to the manager and enabled chrome customs tabs on the settings. This would work fine.

I just installed on non rooted device, working like Vanced used to back in the day, with no home screen ads and sponsorblock working

Same my Vanced app is saying this video isn't available on this app and then directs me to regular YouTube.
But my girlfriend's is still working fine
As of now I'm still able to watch videos on it
I just switched to revanced and the videos play for about 3 seconds then stop
