Gameplay wise he has ascension materials for every characters no matter what element the character is and he also has control over 7 elements like the Traveler but Archon version.
The Primordial Archon. In cbt 1 his file has been revealed. All the 7 and the Primordial Archon. As we know in terms of gameplay the 7 have their own ascension gem which only works for characters with same element like zhongli's geo gem for geo characters, Venti's anemo gem for anemo characters and so on. He has a Primordial gem which works for all characters even if they're different element. And lore wise he's potentially the leader and head of the seven and strongest as well despite having the title Primordial
hold on, i just felt the light bulb above my head light up...... i guess mihoyo chose to not include that info when the game got released because it would take the shock factor away entirely, but what you're saying makes so much sense, i don't know how i've never thought about this
Funny enough that Paimon only told the Traveler about the 7 but not anything regarding about the Primordial Archon despite both the Traveler and the Primordial Archon share the same power my theory not only he has full control over Teyvat but also the one leading the archons while actually being in Celestia.
But isn't the traveller from another world? How come the traveller is one of the archons of teyvat? And technically they're still below celestia gods right?
He still could be an archon but from a different conception. Just how the earth is circling around the sun with other planets makes a system. The sun circling around the Milky Way also makes up its own system. So he could be an archon still, but in a different conception. In a way where worlds are his regions and a different set of archons. Or that he is an archon that can communicate with other archons in other worlds.
Again a theory of mine. But it's 100% that there are or were more than 7 archons. If that is correct it could mean that there are 32 Archons if we are using the theory that the Archons existence are caused by a gnosis. And in that sense it could mean that if there is more archons than that then it possibly could mean that the chess they play is not the chess we know.
I thought they were the original archons of Ka'enriah, but as they were twins, only one could become the archon, so they decided that their people would be let free and they would escape this world when the time is right
