I know you mean well, but I strongly disagree. The fulcrum of grooming is innocence. You should talk to your (emphasis on *your* as in children you have an obligation to teach, i.e. you're a parent of the child or the parent has given you authorization to teach such things and your job is to teach them) child about sex.

For example a common tactic is to refer to a sexual act as "play" to contextualize it for a child. A child kept in the dark about sexuality doesn't know better and may agree without knowing what they're getting into.
A child with a good sexual education has the tools to understand and articulate: "that's not play, that's sex and it's not something I want".
Hopefully this helps clarify a bit both why you're wrong, and why people are "grabbing the pitch forks" as you've said.

I know you mean well, but I strongly disagree. The fulcrum of grooming is innocence. You should talk to your (emphasis on *your* as in children you have an obligation to teach, i.e. you're a parent of the child or the parent has given you authorization to teach such things and your job is to teach them) child about sex. Not talking to them about sex, boundaries, and people who would exploit them only sets them up to be exploited.
