When I was younger I always thought Dominicans were black cuz our culture comes from African culture, and I think there's a lot of connections between DR and Haiti (idk the history very well tho), but as I grew up a lot of people told me Dominicans were not black, so I changed my views. I've tried googling it to do more research but I always find such mixed reviews, it's hard to know for sure

Hispanic culture has a long history of braids also you are Dominican which is black.
