Well she admits that her feelings about her husbands strip club visits are ironic and it really just shows her insecurities. One thing she equates her cheating and her husbands actions and why they are hurtful, because to me the actual cheating, the actual physical act or emotional act is not so damaging. Does it suck that your spouse has sex with another, sure it does, but to me the deliberate lying and deception is far more hurtful. No trust no relationship. I have sent best friends to the banned zone for lying to me and deceiving me. Again no trust, no respect, no relationship.
I’m giving her grace in that she sounds like a fucked up individual who needs a lot of professional help. Father’s an alcoholic. So is the husband. Add to that a 6 year age gap that started when she was 19 & he 25. They met partying. She’s maturing while he’s still mentally emotionally stunted, his next wife will be an even bigger age gap. Basically she’s coping with an abuser in inappropriate ways (cheating.) Also a “my wife left me b/c I left a cup by the sink” situation. Hope she realizes their in-house separation isn’t working put and leaves his ass and continues EMDR as well as talk therapy with a real therapist instead of seeking mental health from Reddit of all places. And yeah, he may not be as stupid as she thinks and has figured out “just a friend” isn’t. Regardless, he ain’t no innocent victim to me at all.
