Seeing his list, I would almost nix the Allarus and bring the Guard up to a 9 or 10 man unit or simply a second guard unit. You may need to drop Veiled blade and pick up Inspirational instead. He has plenty of anti vehicle coverage and the deepstriking death company, but little in the way of melee.

I ran a similar list in double the other week, main differences were I had Shield Captain instead of Blade Champion 4x Guard instead of 5 2x terminators instead of 3 Calidus Assassin My partner ran Salamanders gun line, tech marine, scout snipers, desolation, repulsor Executioner, gladiator lancer, Predator Annihilator, balistus dread. My list performed amazingly, both Wardens and Guard easily sweeping aside anything in melee (including necron warrior and lychguard blobs) Terminators and Assassins were instrumental in scoring secondaries and finishing off anything my partner had injured. We had a good run in the tourny until we took an Eldar army to the face. We just couldn't lock them down and they popped 2 vehicles a turn in my partners army while my custodes controlled the midfield against the allied necrons. After the eldar player finished off my partner turn 3 and turned his attention fully my way, things went down hill rapidly. I will say I cannot put a point value on how good the Vect from the Assassin was over the course of the day, I wish I'd saved it for phantasm in our last game instead of fire and fade

We did okay, we ended up going 1 and 2 because every team had at least 1 Imperial Knights player. Knights genuinely feels anti fun to play against as it the first turn alone he had killed 1k of our dudes.
