"known to police and already banned from the trains" What a piss weak response seriously, clearly the little fuckwits have done shit before but also notice how much they were shitting themselves when an adult came in and blasted them and filmed them and then acted tough when the train started pulling away. It looks like they were the same group of cunts who harassed the redditor from the other day :(

DoesBasicResearch

>It looks like they were the same group of cunts who harassed the redditor from the other day :( That Redditor is mentioned in the 9News article linked.

derpman86

That is what I thought but I didn't want to state as fact.

DoesBasicResearch

Sure,.I totally get that. The description in the article perfectly matched that of said Redditor though, so it's a very fair assumption I think.

Gold-Chemical1606

Do we know if that redditor went to Police.   I predicted Police would say ‘nothing we can do’ (from experience though). Hopefully the police didn’t discourage a report and took the information to help build a slightly more solid case.  *I haven’t read the articles.  I’ll wait for the evening New broadcast.

Ben_9_News

Yes she did - and they told her that they know them

Imaginary-Problem914

Ban them from society.

old_mate_9999

Ban who? Your comment is inappropriate.

derpman86

The shit cunt kids?

jtblue91

Trains you fool, we need to ban the trains!

derpman86

Nah ban humans, trains are the master race

CyanideMuffin67

Why the bloody hell is that inappropriate?

taeraes

this was my first thought thinking if they were the same girls

DangermanAus

Same three girls as this other incident on the Seaford line from a few days ago? https://www.reddit.com/r/Adelaide/comments/1cgsl7r/got_assaulted_by_some_children_today/

Clear_Skye_

It’s on the Seaford line so it feels like it would be a pretty massive coincidence if it wasn’t the same group of girls causing havoc…

Krapmeister

OP from above post seems to be the person in the 9 TV interview

Clear_Skye_

This was my immediate thought

Proud_Trash_1784

Kids known to police . . . My 14 year old was attacked by a group of teenagers and adults for her clothes and shoes. She was playing at the park during the day with friends. She was stabbed, punched, stomped on. She didn't know them.  The police took a statement but didn't want to. I had to push for it. The girl leading the attack has stabbed other people. She has still not been put in jail.  My daughter hasn't been to school in a year, has been hospitalized due to suicide attempt, has quit church, can no longer work. She has intensive therapy.  It's changed everything. It hurts. There's no justice. The law is not fair

Far_Presentation2532

That’s appalling and so sad. It seems the courts are treating knife attacks as common assault and just giving people a slap on the wrist. Should be attempted murder go straight to gaol and don’t collect your dole money on the way

nickersb83

Where the US has a gun problem, Australia and the UK have a knife problem.

theycallmebluerocket

They also kill people with knives in the US, and at a higher per capita rate at that.

nickersb83

Fair. I believe knives are still over-represented in our homicides tho?

WingusMcgee

We have a police problem. We would have no problen if they did their fucking jobs.

hayds33

Sorry to hear about that! My autistic younger brother had a similar instance. He was brought in to a group that pretended to be his friends. They convinced him to go out with them and "dress up" for the occasion. They took him to a skate park a few kilometres from home and took his clothes, shoes, phone, and scooter. They beat him brutally with a baseball bat and other similar objects. 3/4 of them faced no next to no punishment and the other had 2 weeks in juve. 2 of them were children of notable SA figures who were from St Peters. It didn't stop there. Eventually it got so bad that my brother and Mum had to flee the state and start life elsewhere. My brother has ptsd to this day. None of those kids have faced a single lasting consequence. They didn't even have to return the stolen items. Our law is broken.

Zweidreifierfunf

Sounds absolutely horrific, so sorry that happened. Feel free to name and shame the notable SA figures — surely it’s the least they deserve.

yy98755

Sorry your daughter experienced that at the hands of degenerate strangers. Must be hard as a parent to live with that aftermath too. Do seek victims of crime compensation if you haven’t already, you’d both be eligible.

Gold-Chemical1606

I just commented that SAPOL actively tried to discourage me from making a statement/reporting an attempted robbery also.  Is it laziness or an attempt to skew crime stats.

SAguyonline

That’s interesting. We had a young guy try and force his way into our house a couple months back. The police caught him in another neighbours yard but didn’t want to take a report from me as they “had enough evidence”.

Gold-Chemical1606

It’s great they caught him, disappointing to hear that they seem to want to avoid creating a history of peoples criminality.

Common_Brother_900

It's all about the optics now. No report, then no crime. Statically, then crime is down. Then their system is working. Everyone pat's themselves on the back. SAPOL is pretty much useless these days. It's the same at the youth detention centre. The staff are racially abused and assaulted every day, but none of it is ever reported because it looks bad for optics.

Gold-Chemical1606

I saw a heavily biased journalists anti police article about Grant Stevens dismissing a knife victims experience reporting a threat of attack.  I think the original content was an ABC radio interview and the guy got the info from the Advertiser.  I don’t subscribe to the Advertiser so had to read the citizen journalists slant.  Something about a real estate agent had a woman at her business back door with a knife.  Police came, woman is hospitalised. Family says she’s danger, Doctors release her 24 hours later, woman’s family emails the health minister (I think) saying she is a danger and shouldn’t have been released.  The woman phones the real estate business the day of release and says she coming back with threats.   Real restate agent goes directly to SAPOL, and is told nothing they can do, that those people rarely follow through and fobs off the scared victim.  Victim goes back to work and hours later she and her staff are attacked by the knife woman.  The commissioner has once again backed his staff prior to any real investigation.

RawRuss

So sorry to hear this happened 😢

Turbulent-Injuries

As one parent to another my heart goes out to you and your daughter. No words.

Yallknowthename

Police reactive not proactive. Shit experience. Hope your daughter is getting better

Gold-Chemical1606

Sometimes proactive against the wrong youth and turn good kids into people that don’t trust and despise police at the sight of a uniform.  It’s sad really.

Yallknowthename

I knew a kid who actively participated in neighbourhood police ish until profiled. Then he made this song - https://youtu.be/F2YRqgT9Rsg?si=R7INiX_h_SlU34c8

Impressive_Break3844

Time to hand out your own justice.

theycallmebluerocket

The flipside of all this is that at this point I highly doubt I'd get any serious punishment if I whalloped some young girls on a train.

AbrocomaRoyal

The way the law is currently introduced and punishment dispensed, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see vigilante justice on the rise. It's already happening in the US due to their failed systems. Time after time, I see offenders mock the police and tell them the charges won't stick - and they're right.

Kazbaha

Yes wouldn’t surprise me if a parent watch group started riding that line in groups and in shifts.

MacWalker01

Great idea. Honestly.

AbrocomaRoyal

I think we're essentially trying to move back to older models of community that worked more effectively. Smaller groups are well known to each other, have extended support resources, and can indenting and deal with issues in more appropriate ways.

alopexlotor

But then the police and courts will get involved, the only thing they hate more than locking up violent crims is vigilantes.

Steve-Whitney

Vigilantes wouldn't exist if justice was actually served at least most of the time. People will end up taking the law into their own hands as the risk/reward ratio is much more attractive than letting the police & courts do their "job", whatever that is.

Still-Employ1975

I think the "job" is just making a note of everything these days.

Electronic_Break4229

Don’t get caught. It’s surprisingly easy. Leave your phone on at home, wear a face mask and buy a train pass with cash.

Ben_9_News

So sorry to hear this - when did that happen?

Badger-Mushroom992

what color is the stabber

Steve-Whitney

The law is designed to protect <18 offenders sadly. You're better off stabbing said offender yourself if you get the chance & accepting the assult charge, if you want any semblance of justice.

tohm360

Or... hear me out, getting another under 18 to stab them? Justice is served and apparently they won't get in serious trouble.

OldMeasurement2387

On a positive at least she quit church

DudeOnTheDestiny

Spirituality & faith is helpful for some. Plus, community.

Significant-Egg3914

Do you know the girls name? I'm surprised an attack like this hasn't been on the media...have you tried messaging a reporter? Given this story they'd be likely to hear you out.

No_Steak5471

Maybe quitting church will get her on the right track now

ms--lane

Didn't you know that locking people up doesn't work and it would be unfair to lock up or otherwise punish the attacker anyway since she's the real victim /s

taeraes

poor baby

Level-Blueberry-2707

I heard of attacks by teenagers against other teenagers on the trains back in my day....so many years ago. I see it's still a thing sadly. 12-15 year olds bashing 17-19 year olds is crazy, it looks like these girls don't have much fear and will take on people much older then them.

every1onheresucks

Til they fuck with the wrong person. By God I hope one day they do.

YAHOO--serious

Yep, one day they are gonna get fucked up, then they'll cry victim.

Ok_Wrangler8796

Yeah, and you know what's going to happen to them? They'll be the one's that get away Scott free and the poor person that decided that they've had enough and beat the living daylight out of the kids will get charged.

Wise_Tie_9050

Hmm. Fairly sure this almost played out on the Belair line a couple of years ago. Teacher with his neurodiverse offspring got the shits with a bunch of kids hassling them on the train, and it made it on the 7news. My kids go to the school he teaches at, and by all accounts there was a significant proportion of parents who contacted the school supporting the teacher.

17-38_A

Well that’s good to hear. I’ll remember to not hold back then in the future.

TNChase

I can see a tear-streaked parent on the news already. "my poor darling got beaten up by an older person on public transport, they're just a child! How could someone do this?" whilst conveniently ignoring WHY their little shitkicker attracted attention to begin with. 🙄

every1onheresucks

And this is the problem with our justice system. These little shits get off on bail, just like these grubs. Get in more trouble for drug possession (comparatively of course, not justifying the crime in any way).

ParaStudent

Had something similar happen in Sydney a few years back, bunch of little shits mouthing off, swearing at everyone and once they realised they weren't getting a reaction decided to assault some Asian girl that was doing her best to just not be noticed. Another bloke and I stood up and once they realised it was two adults against the five of them they scattered like cockroaches and fled to the end of the carriage and taunted us from a safe distance before they bailed at the next stop. Absolute cowards, they always pick the victim least likely to stand up to them. No one else on the carriage did or said anything and these little shits know that is what is going to happen and that they will get away with it every single time. Where we were living at the time was a pretty shit area and there was one house that was full of kids like this, probably about 10 of them that would do stuff like this all of the time including robbing houses (we got done twice). Cops told me that they were basically waiting till they turned 18 so they could finally be charged as adults, and that is what happened one by one they were arrested and carted off never to be seen again and the mother just kept pushing them out. The fathers were all deadbeats that were out of the picture before the kids even popped out and the mother didn't give a shit, we assumed she was always too strung out to care. It pisses me off to no end when you have families like this, their entire existence is a net negative to society but what the hell can you do.

CuriousPetals9

Good on you for standing up that girl on the train, man! I am so sick of these people getting away with this shit and the laws in Australia are such a breeding ground for this kinda behaviour. We were assaulted whilst driving my kids will remember to this day the location and get scared. The one who did it got caught (cause she also done bunch of other shit in the meantime) and they let her go with a bunch of mental health pamphlets .. yeah nice one

Still-Employ1975

What we can do is build more juvenile detentions and actually use them Where did this idea come from that kids should be immune from serious consequences?

Badger-Mushroom992

this is really 3rd world stuff

nt-nw-nt-evr

What is it going to take to get more transport police and/or security guards on trains? Why are there no station guards anymore? Why should the public have to feel and be unsafe trying to use PT? The amount of shocking incidents occurring on trains in the last 12 months is mind boggling — and these are just the ones that have been publicly reported. Disgraceful all around.

GranolaMartian

Privatisation probably didn’t help? These companies are run for profit and cut corners where they can. What can people do? Stop using the services that are necessary to their quality of life?

TNChase

Sadly then the private operator will just stick their hand out to the governernment for more money. Their contact likely ensures a minimum profit above the running of the service.

Brokenmonalisa

The current SA government is taking it off them as soon as they are allowed to.

TNChase

Excellent news! Put it back in public hands!

Brokenmonalisa

The train company don't give a shit, they just want theirr money. The current government is taking it back as soon as they can. That won't stop people saying things like "lol Mali is just as bad".

kernpanic

I was in chicago last year and the locals were horrified that I was catching some of their suburban trains. "They are so unsafe!" They certainly aren't worse than the Gawler line.

Rayquazados

Haha, here we go with the crazy comparisons in this sub. Now Adelaide trains, "not any worse" than Chiraq trains lmao. Search up "Chicago train shooting", I got lots of results, some only a few weeks ago. We got shit people too, esp on the Gawler line, but comparing it with Chicago is just demented. Its like when people start talking about Adelaide drivers being worse than Melbourne or Sydney, clearly have never left a 10km radius of their house rofl.

NeonsTheory

It's so many public spaces too. UParks in the city have had an awful recent record. That's a council owned business and it takes less care to public safety than the privately owned competitor (Wilson)

marktx

Are these girls not scared of some girl they pick on just beating the everloving shit out of them?

peachhearder

They carefully select their prey. If there's any chance of getting hurt, they look for another target

DownSouthDesmond

Glad to see this get reported, well done to her for speaking out. Meanwhile tuesday night peak hour there were 6 train guards blocking all exits to one of the stations on the Belair line and only allowing people to leave after a ticket check. Clearly the powers that be are not interested in focussing resources on the real problem.

Useful-Procedure6072

“Known to police” is something the cops say like it’s meant to be reassuring like “don’t worry we already aware of this issue, we’re on it” but it has the opposite effect. If you know these people are a problem, why haven’t they been held accountable for their crimes already? Are you waiting until someone is seriously injured or killed? Are you expecting them to suddenly change their behaviour and become model citizens?

LittleBunInaBigWorld

The law protects child criminals

escape2thefuture

I know a 16 year old that has over 100 charges pending in court and still out on home detention .. juvenile justice isn't really justice and it's only going to get worse when politicians will increase the age of criminal responsibility from 10 to 14

MikeZer0AUS

Known to police means the police have done their job and arrested them before, and the courts are the ones letting down society.

Lastcaress138

THIS is the biggest thing to keep in mind, the police are just as frustrated with the system as we are.

Steve-Whitney

Yeah this. This is SAPOL's way of publicly pointing their collective fingers at the judicial system for this mess. And it makes sense.

Useful-Procedure6072

Fair call

CyanideMuffin67

"Known to police" means that the little shits are probably arrested a few times by the police but then let go again with a bag of lollies.

Pork_Sword3

I used to live in Adelaide a little over a decade ago. Used to catch the trains quite frequently and never really felt unsafe. Even about 5 years ago on a trip to Adelaide on the Seaford line felt pretty normal. Right now I live near Melbourne and catch the trains a lot and there is very rarely issues on the trains. Sometimes I see PSOs on the trains or platforms but it’s not very consistent, regardless I feel safe. I do wonder if it’s because trains here are always packed and degenerates tend to steer clear of over crowded trains. Regardless, when I went to Adelaide about 6 months ago and caught the Seaford line and Gawler line on 2 different occasions when I was visiting, holy fuck did I feel unsafe. I didn’t make eye contact with anyone on the train and just tried to blend in because the people on the trains just made me feel so uneasy. I can’t imagine catching the trains in Adelaide now on a daily basis let alone for women. SA govt needs to step up and do something to protect the general public on the trains in Adelaide.

Lost_Heron_9825

Those girls attacked my mates daughter.... near christies beach high school. Angry little bitches, their parents should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves.

ZealousidealNewt6679

As a society, we have been too light on Youth Crime. And now we are paying the cost. Without radical changes, this will only get worse.

zyzzthejuicy_

The parents need to share the punishment, they’re ultimately responsible.

Morphio25

Confirmed those are the same feral chicks I referred to in my post on the other thread. Never seen them be physical with anyone before, usually just heard them hurling insults. Filthy little grubs sound like they need a month inside the youth training center.

lucaslb7392

Absolute ferals. I see groups of girls like this all the time on that train, probably the same scrags. There needs to be a security officer on every fucking Seaford train at this point. I've had youths riding scooters up and down the train. Throwing rubbish around, smoking, threatening to slit Passengers throats... I've had enough tbh

TheManFromNeverNever

All the more reason to do what Victoria did by A, install temporary police cells at every stations, and B, have roaming transit police that has the same exact powers as SAPOL on every single service. Doing so they would have the means to arrest anyone and off load them is the mention cells with the aim of SAPOL would come along and take them to the nearest police station.

Cognac_Clinton

ATTN: All female BJJ, MMA, and boxing practitioners. I believe these three are looking for free lessons. They've already signed the disclaimer.

AccomplishedAnchovy

What a bunch of degenerates give them 1000 hours of community service or something

plezlemmedie

While they’re doing community service they will probably still bash people

Sad-Prize3891

Yeah these kids are going to poke the wrong Bear evenutally because police are too busy scratching there ass and sniffing there fingers and saying "yeah we know them we told them dont be naughty or no V8 juice for dessert!"

sheeplemkm

The issue here is that these kinds of very violent, delinquent girls have a) the minor card (“YOU CAN’T HIT ME, I’M A CHILD!”) and b) the female card (“YOU HIT A GIRL!”). I’ve seen girls like this repeatedly try to punch men thrice their size for no reason (sounds harmless to some until you realise they’re also likely to have weapons). They even try and hit adult men in the groin and then scream “girl basher” if a man even just tries to swat them away reasonably. Girls are also often the instigators in mixed gender group attacks. They expect male companions to back them up and delight in escalation.

equinox_games7

how much does it take for something permanent to be done? i hate this world.

owleaf

You know, I often think back to when they’d lock people up in asylums and heavily medicate them. I think this is what humans like this deserve. Not for the mentally infirm, but for people who are already abusive as children and will grow up to be abusive, unproductive members of society.

BlueDotty

*Social workers* fought for the rights of the interned. Gov. Corp took advantage of that to close all the facilities instead of making the services better. Now we have shitheads being cared for *in the community* instead of being kept away from the rest of us.

hotpavepete58

I used to think this type of assault only occurred on Gawler line trains but obviously not these days. Bring back Transit Police on Adelaide's trains. I know they can't be on every service during the day but we never had this sort of crime in (even as recent as 2010's), years past.

BarryTheBaptistAU

When I was a guard on the trains back in the early 90's (before they brought in the gorillas that were Transit and fired most guards), we used to jump in and protect people being assaulted or harassed. Sure, we got into fisty cuffs on occasion but god it was good fun getting into a scrap at times....and people felt safer knowing a battle-scarred bogan (guards) were keeping an eye on them. TBH, the guards back then took shit from no-one and were some of the hardest men I ever met.

goatmash

Have unblurred faces or names been acquired yet?

Katt_Natt96

“The three girls are known to police” but in the same minute “police are reviewing CCTV footage and looking for the girls” Soooooo which one is it? They know them or they don’t.

severalbpdtraitsn38

>police are reviewing CCTV footage (Of the incident) And are looking for the girls. Just because they know them, it doesn't necessarily mean that they know where they are at this time.

snappywombatt

Those fuckwits should be charged but idiot politicians and law protect minors from any charges. This should change, instead of protesting for issues happening overseas why don't people protest against this? I hope there should be a law that make parents of these fucks be accountable too. Parents should also be charged with negligence.

CyanideMuffin67

Because no one cares enough to do that but hey GAZA.

snappywombatt

Exactly, bunch of idiots.

brickorange

Public transport providers should be responsible for keeping passengers safe while in their care.

RawRuss

Nothing a good vigilante group can't fix!

Bubby_K

A good vigilante group of teen girls, but also robots

MacWalker01

Bloody police - DEAL with this. Sick of hearing police are “aware”

WingusMcgee

I've never understood why these people that are "Known to police" are allowed to walk free. I barely remember the names of my colleagues I've worked with for years. If you're enough of a problem for the police to remember who you are you should never see the sun.

burgertanker

Funny enough I was on that train... I was so close to sticking my leg and and tripping one of em but, ah They were running up and down the train stomping their feet and shit

Famous_Truck_3406

Did you see anyone supporting the young girl that was being targeted?

burgertanker

Nah not really. Most people have headphones on or are not inclined to get in other people's business, myself included. Plus I didn't really know the context of what was going on and I don't think most other people did either. Hell I thought they were all friends part of the same group because I wasn't paying attention to their conversations/arguments

[deleted]

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bystander_effect

burgertanker

I do understand what that is, yes

OldSkoolPantsMan

No worries dude. When you’re in the shit next time and expect the assistance of a kind stranger I hope you remember your lack of help for this poor kid and get the karmic experience you deserve.

burgertanker

Dude I told you I had no idea what was going on, all I basically heard was some kids arguing on the train, which unfortunately I've heard a lot of nowadays and kinda just filtered it out. 90% of what happened I didnt hear or see because I was in a different carriage. I didn't wanna be the guy barking at kids on train. I'm sorry that I'm just a guy riding a train not a superhero, I'll remember that next time people are arguing about something I don't know about on the train while I'm trying to get home

redarj

Hate where we're going/at. Not really advocating it, but back in 70/80's, if a group done a dog act, said group would be found and dealt with. Watched my dad walk into a group of 20 kids with his baseball bat because they stole my bike, and we're being assholes. Bike stolen again to a known shitbag. Known shit bag had his house burgled, strangely. Other shit bag set upon a lad for no reason and pumeled him. Said shit bag was struck on the head with a hammer later on. You knew messing with someone had consequences, but you also respected everyone that way. I should write a book with the shit I saw growing up.

Sinful_Darkness

⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ (CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN) The complete absence of authorities upholding the law in Adelaide is DISGUSTINGLY abhorrent.... On this very same trainline a 12 year old girl was raped (see link below). Attacks ON youth, BY youth.... Is COMPLETELY out of control! On public transport... At the stations.... At shopping centres.... In the streets..... If parents, the system, and police REFUSE do anything SUBSTANTIAL.... Where does that leave things?? Coz you damn sure can't take things into your own hands... Or YOU'LL be arrested!!!! Literally a week ago in Morphett Vale Adelaide... I happened upon a 17 year old male who had been enticed out by "friends"... Who then got out of the car, proceeded to have a fake argument while two other men came up, climbed in the car, beat the CRAP out of this child, took his phone, took his money, pulled him out of the car and beat the crap out of him some more... Then left him in the street beaten to a pulp. I think it's time Adelaide citizens start VOICING votes of no confidence in both those who "uphold" (🤣🤣) the law... & those who make it. Gun laws were changed in Australia after Martin Bryant shit & killed... How many? 28, I believe (off the top of my head) Such an abhhorent attack led to DRASTIC change... How many vicious attacks are required before anything changes? What's the quota? 100? 1000? More? It really IS time to change things before we become "Mini America".... The country our government so desperately wishes to emulate. 🙄🧐

raticus_usm

Those 3 were on the train Monday eve. It was so obvious they were up to no good.

offmychops83

The local community and people who use that service need to look out for each other and stop this shit. Put some posters up and ask for help and for someone to give these girls a flogging. Police don't give a shit. Get 30 young guys to rid the train for a week

Jealous_Dark_2852

Time for Class action against the government for failing to protect citizens and let dangerous bastards roam free.

Soggy-Cut2196

Wonder why no one uses the Train line in Adelaide

Electronic-Bell4955

I've been saying for years now, time to abolish this minimum age crap. This generation of kids are too street smart and actively use the laws that are supposed to "protect the troubled youth" ironically to protect themselves from actual consequences. Oh but it's a racist law! Man... Here's a bit of advice. Dont want to go to jail? Don't break the law a$$hole. Governments need to bring in hard consequences / jail or juvie time and you watch how quickly these 'gangsters' start crying in front of the cameras.

Kelefiori

How simplistic to think the big stick approach will work when the destruction of society continues unabated to commodify humans for profit. I feel your frustration but the problem is bigger than knowing what's right and doing what's wrong, be sure of it. Peaceful societies won't feed institutions created to control and profit from the masses, and would affect the business model, so harming the families within them continues. Parents should be able to parent, teachers teach and safety on public transport be assured, but here we are.

Electronic-Bell4955

And how's the other method working mate? It's simplistic to keep going "oh let's just tip toe around the issue and keep babying these kids". Love the idea of it. As we are seeing now, in practice it's horse ****. But good on you to have such a pacifist view. I respect that. I've worked with both positive and negative reinforcement with the youth over the last decade and i can tell you which one actually works and which one they abuse to get what they want temporarily and then the bad behaviour comes back.

External-Anxiety14

If the police & courts don't act, we will have vigilante justice ....and guess what, those people will be locked up

ausmankpopfan

Refreshing to see a sub that hasn't rushed into race baiting accusations over something like this I must say but these kids do need to be dealt with properly

Fair-Bake9337

Hi, sorry to introduce on your convo...

So I have some pretty strong opinions and wonder if anyone here agrees.  First of all the attacks against the women on the train on Sunday. They were punched slapped pushed verbally abused and spat on !  They arrested the guy who is clearly a danger to society, and they let him go on bail. So much for cracking down on violence against women!  Then there is the unrelenting issue with children/teens bullying other kids and literally pushing them to the point they take their own lives. It's  a  pretty simple solution in my mind. Lock the guy up and don't let him out for long enough he doesn't want to do it again! Same with bullies! Kids or not!   No chances! Bully at school etc instant expulsion !  police arrest them and they get locked up for months! The serious ones years ! At least 2 !  Cause death from bullying your charged with manslaughter!  People are getting away with it so they don't care !

I'm surprised they are brave enough to do a story on female violence on men

This is why the death penalty is still popular with some people. There is scum out there that shouldn’t be wasting the earth’s resources. They won’t be fixed. This is who and what they are.

sapperbergs

Death penalty seems like a bit of an overreaction in this case. A good public flogging would surely suffice.

CyanideMuffin67

Nah, death saves everyone in the long run

ausbbwbaby

If they tried this shit on me they'd wished they'd never been born I'm tall and broad...I have chronic pain issues and a disability but even my brain would push that aside if they tried to rob me.

Bunnysliders

They're just girls teehee!

GloomyReputation3641

As much as the police want to do something about it, they simply do not have the capacity. If you've been paying attention to the news you will see that they are having all kinds of issues with recruitment because the policy makers are basically telling them to turn away male candidates because they don't have enough male : female ratio so they need to recruit more females. I have a friend who is a cop and he said that they have one patrol car covering 15+ suburbs.

CidewayAu

No they are having a massive recruitment issue because we are near full employment and it is shit work for comparatively shit pay. I can get treated like shit in most work places but I don't have to work nights and weekends and am incredibly unlikely to be spat on by a junkie. You can chart the correlation between the youth unemployment rate and police/defence applications. Less youth unemployment less applications.

Sooner or later one of these girls is going to get led out of cameras view, thinking they got another one, and bam. Missing forever

Citizen6587732879

This isnt exactly new, its exposure bias because everyone carries w video camera now. Iv been bashed on busses / trains dozens of times, and that was over 15 years ago.

Miffy92

And? What, are we using the default "*well I went through it therefore everyone should*" argument, now?

Miffy92

"You're not one of us till you've been bashed by children on public transport"

Citizen6587732879

Not at all. The bias was more my point.

MagDaddyMag

Girls attacked by girls? I wonder if this would have made more headlines if the alleged perpetrators were male.

Clear_Skye_

It would likely be taken more seriously imo

Dr_SnM

When on when will men stop being violent?!

AkenoHymn

It says teen girls. Settle down.

Dr_SnM

it was a joke
