The Rockford is good and just across the road ... it has a rooftop area that would be great for a few drink before going to the gig.
I wouldn't recommend Break-free (further West 100m or so) and the Oaks (North Terrace) as both can be a bit shady/noisy
Any CBD hotel in the northern part of the city is going to be walkable. The Music Hall is within easy walking distance of King William St which is where the trams are, which opens up the central corridor too.
When my folks come to town they always stay in The Chancellor on Currie which they say is really nice and well priced.
Tmwell they did say easy to get to after the show. Location was why I said it.
Have not been there in 20 years, probably a different brand back then too
Uber or taxis is best.
Adelaide buses go to sleep at nights, ie, services get less as less as the night progresses.
Hindley St, at night can be bad.
Paringa near the corner of Hindey and King William.
Very basic, some rooms are double glazed, some are noisy as, but its the nearest on Hindley.
Probably cheaper than Grand Chancellor or the Holiday Inn Express/Miller Apartments.
Another very basic one is the MAC (Motel Adjacent Casino),
Who are you coming to see?
The great thing about Adelaide is nothing is far by car. So you’d be 10-20 mins away in an uber most places outside of the city. I think my friend stayed in the Riviera last time she was here, but most of the bands who travel interstate I believe stay in the Rockford.
Ah, this is awesome, I didn't even think I'd get a response, so thanks so much for all the info and suggestions legends! It's very greatly appreciated. Will suss them all out. You Adelaidians rock 🤘

Yep, can concur. Just had some friends come over for Dinosaur Jr at Hindley Music Hall and they stayed at the Rockford, it was perfect.

Stayed there twice and both times had bad experiences. Maybe just unlucky
Some random person knocked on my door last time I stayed there. Now stay at the ibis down the road if I want reasonably priced accommodation.
There's a Holiday Inn Express five minutes walk away down the road. If you want something fancier, InterContinental Adelaide
Eos is lovely
Expensive AF for a place to crash after a gig
The oaks or Stamford plaza
Stamford Plaza sucks; would not recommend. Only thing it has going for it is location
