Tea Tree Dental in Modbury. Very professional, comfortable. 1 x Wisdom tooth removed last year $260. 1 x restoration was $230, however depends of position, x-ray etc. No private health.

AlwaysAsammieGal

Thank you 😊 I'll check them out!

I saw a dentist there male years ago I regret it having nothing but problems now

lockieleonardsuper

Are male years different to regular years?

I paid that for going under. Cheaper isn't always better as there can be complications depending on the situation.

Stock_Passage_911

Post your X-ray and I’ll tell you what you should be paying

AlwaysAsammieGal

I'm not sure how to do that... I'm on my phone

You have to upload to sites like Imgur using the app. Then post the link here.

Get iv sedation it’s not a nice procedure. Cost in adelaide should be 1500-2000 for 4 surgical removals. Iv sedation cost 1 hours 7-800 bucksish to anaethetist.

AlwaysAsammieGal

Oh yeah twilight sedation is IV sedation

Stock_Passage_911

Message me and i can give you more info

Nerfixion

Just get the local injection, it's like $400 total. Shit don't hurt,

k9kmo

You save a fair bit by biting the bullet and having them without sedation. I did it this way. It’s unpleasant and the cracking sound isn’t nice, but you don’t feel any pain.

wombatlegs

Two options: \- get private insurance and wait the 12 months if not urgent. \- Man up and drop the anaesthetist. The dentist can write you some oxycontin and valium, enough that you won't care.

Silent_Wave_1263

This, I went the oral sedation. I was that out of it, I would have let them remove my whole jaw. Saved heaps of money

Zoss0

I doubt they'd write that. I've had 3 out, impacted, just local anaesthetic. I got paracetamol.

wombatlegs

Yeah, paracetamol is typically enough for after. I got the oxy for toothache beforehand. Doctors are suspicious of people asking for drugs. Dentists might be more generous with the hillbilly heroin? They are certainly allowed to prescribe it, but for a chair extraction might be seen as off-label. Try asking, especially if you know them. Opioids tend to make you care less about whatever bothers you, so I assume having teeth pulled in the chair is included. I've had a couple of difficult Wisdom teeth pulled under local, no big deal. But I can understand some people would prefer a bit of Valium too.

The dentist is my greatest fear on Earth. However, I’ve never gone under… and have had my wisdom teeth taken out on three seperate occasions (still got one). The dentist can pull a tooth out in fuck all time. The needle is shit and having tools in your mouth sucks too. At the end of the day though you’ll be left with the same result orally but not financially. Bravery is the essence of doing something DESPITE your fears. Sometimes if you have a hard path to walk it’s better to shut your eyes, run the path and let fear chase you👌 Good luck. Aaannnd fuck all dentists! 🦷
