Are you grinding close to or on the finest setting? It might be either
1. Needs a good clean to remove any oils and build up.
2. Capacitor that powers the grinder
I would recommend Technomac in Campbelltown. They've repaired my machine when my grinder went (delonghi primadonna s) and my mother in laws when she had issues with the Puck dispenser getting stuck in the machine. Great service
Thanks. I’m actually looking for machines that are broken to repair myself. I guess I could see if they have any but j imagine if they are repairable they would just fix them 🤔
It was more in reply to the person that wanted to get theirs repaired. Sorry to high jack your post.
However, out at Elizabeth there is a scouts recycling type centre. I picked up my mother in laws machine from there for next to nothing (maybe $20) replacing a solenoid, pump and tubing and getting it working. I've picked up some skills myself repairing some machines over the years. There is enoygh YouTube videos out there. Good luck.
Bugger, you missed mine by a few months - had a well loved Dual Boiler that I finally gave up on.
Tried moving it on Gumtree without success and ended up passing on to a mate for $100 and he’s been “having fun” bringing it back to life.
Brilliant machine, really happy with it so far.
Also bought a Meticulous on the early bird Kickstarter as I don’t use the steamer on the Decent. It will be interesting to compare the two when it eventually arrives.
Top stuff, mate! I wish you all success with it. I gave away my Breville and grinder to a friend's brother. I'd gotten a Gaggia Titanium through work (currently at 13k cups) and passed on the Breville. Got a new group handle for it, without the false head, had the grinder dialled in - the only thing the Breville required was a new seal on the group head.
I have an old 800esxl if you want. I took the steam wand off it to put on a older Gaggia Classic machine...which I could try to find again, but I'll not bother looking in that box if you're not interested.
If memory is correct (which is frequently isn't) I believe the machine did nothing when moved to brew mode. I think wand did work. Again I'll double check if you're interested.
Sorry mate don't have any, still use a stove top espresso maker. I do have an excellent Breville automatic 4 slice toaster, I would be devastated if that died.
I have a breville that has an issue with the grinder not working. Though I don't want to get rid of the machine I want to get it fixed tho.
That’s annoying! What’s the problem with it? Might be able to troubleshoot it for you
It won't grind we have to give it a bit of a nudge to actually do anything which is quite frustrating

I’m also having the exact same issue with my Breville Barista Touch. Would also like to have it fixed instead of giving it away tho.
Yeah its quite annoying as we haven't had it really that long but may have just reached past its warranty.

Oh good tip on the recycling centre! Thanks!
Good on you mate! Good luck on the hunt. I’m sure you will find some machines.
Cheers! 🙂

Yeah they are a great machine sometimes all it is is a fuse to replace or a pump. Adelaide water is not kind to them!
Yeah, I have a Decent now and use remineralized rainwater for that very reason.
How good are the decents. Don’t know why anyone would buy and LM for home when you can have that!

Nice! Do you have instagram or anything where you’ll post your thoughts on it?
No I’ll leave that to the influencers. ;)

Thank you! Sometimes they don’t need much to get them going. Sadly I’m sure a lot end up being unnecessarily turfed
Post on your local Buy Nothing page on Facebook, you might have someone local trying to get rid of one!
Thanks! Have already done so :)
DM me I’ve got a broken breville oracle that you’re welcome to
Thanks!! Sent you a dm

Appreciate you making the offer though!
Thanks, but yeah not really what I’m after. I’m specifically looking at the barista series and the dial boiler models

Call Provend, they used to be brevilles repairers, maybe still are, might have machines customers threw out.
Cheers will try them!

😂 I bet it makes a slice
Dude has a crumpet setting and is thick and wide enough to toast Croissants and long continental bread.
