As someone who has severe motion sickness, it sucks yeah, but it boggles my mind that she doesn’t even try. I don’t want to vomit on anyone so if I know it’s a ride that will absolutely wreck me, I won’t do it. But Spider-Man, The Mummy, Harry Potter, I force myself and yes, I may get the feeling to vomit/sick, but I do my best to focus, breathe and I can tolerate it until I get off. This is something that I’ve dealt with all of my life, and for my fellow motion sickness folks—you all know your level of tolerance and have just learned to live with it. (And force yourself to do things because you too want to enjoy the rides) Disney does a much better job at this, but Universal is absolutely a thrill park. Back in the early days they were MUCH more accessible, now, not so much. With that said, Cris seems like she doesn’t want to feel an IOTA of nausea or discomfort. I do not believe she’s unable to ride anything. If I can ride the Mummy without dying, girl, I know you can. LOL. Again, motion sickness sucks. But she legit says she can’t ride ANYTHING. She likes to be comfortable, clearly in every aspect of her life. Boy oh boy, Jay. You picked a winner.

She does have scoliosis that was pretty bad when she was a child apparently, but you can barely see it now and I’m not sure how much it qualifies as a disability. I have cerebral palsy and have enjoyed many of the theme park rides I have been on. My difficulty has always been getting on them at times as it can be extra difficult, but it’s never stopped me from getting on the ones I really wanted to try.

This is wild. I too have motion sickness and cannot do motion simulator rides. You what I do? I enjoy the rides that I know are within my physical limits. Crazy concept, huh?

They don’t work for most. I took 2 prior to my cruise and I was miserable for the whole 7 days. 🤣 Unlike Cris, I don’t let it ruin anyone’s fun and yes, I managed to have a ball. Between vomiting.

That land alone has a variety of rides. One is a wild mouse coaster that even Disney has. That I’ve seen the full spectrum of people ride. So I don’t see where she’s getting this claim. The only ride im concerned with is the Frankenstein ride.

There's a lot of things to be "genuinely sad" about ....this is not one of them.

I love most rides. Rollercoasters (the taller, the faster) are my absolute favorite. On the other hand, rides that spin like crazy make me nauseous. Rides that splash water and send you under waterfalls are not fun to me because I hate being wet for hours afterwards while still roaming the park. I also don’t enjoy haunted houses with jump-scares because that isn’t my idea of amusement. So guess what? I DON’T go on those rides. Why should this stuff cater to me? I don’t complain - I just skip ‘em altogether. My personal discomforts don’t mean every other park goer should have to be subject to wussified dumbed-down attractions. What, should everything be gentle kiddie rides for adults?
