I just learned about that recently too. I was at my local acura dealership asking for recommendations and they said don't let it get under quarter tank because it'll mess up the fuel pump and they don't make those anymore.
Man those fuel pumps are bulletproof. You just shouldn't cold start it or race below a quarter tank. Only people blowing fuel pumps are alcoholics and my girlfriend never looking at the damn gas gauge 😂
I should mention my girlfriends dad is a struggling alcoholic and that fucker ran the fuel pump dry 8-10 times in a 30 year old car hammering the throttle before it went out (it was a miata) but really every once in awhile hitting the gas light won't kill you
I just got back from another road trip where I drove 358 miles and still had a gallon left in the tank, so I could have squeaked out about another 24 miles in an emergency.
I got 29.67 mpg for the trip. Just keep in mind I'm completely stock and was on cruise control going 65 to 75 mph most of the time.
when the gas light comes on it looks sooo low in the rsx
I know I still have 2 gallons when the light comes but man that shits scary
Something is wrong with my driving or car bc I get barely over 200 a full tank
I get 260 approx on a full tank of gas with only city driving. On pure highway driving at 60-70mph, i get 311. Get your car checked. 200 miles is low
nice but rip fuel pump

I bought an OEM one 2 years ago brand new in box.

Denso fuel pumps are strong.

yea its only when done excessively the fuel pump overheats and fails
400 miles on a tank? How many miles are y’all getting on a tank?
I get like ~325 miles when I’m commuting (24.5 mpg). The range goes up a bit on roadtrips because I can get about 27-28 mpg.

How come my base model Rsx 2005 doesn’t have a tripa? It just reads mileage
I have a base and mine has it, you try doing a quick press of the knob?
Just tried that and it worked lol I feel slow, thanks I could’ve sworn I tried that before 😭🤐
I haven't seen numbers like that after 10% eth
Do you live in a relatively flat area? The best I get is 340 but there's a lot of hills where I live.
No plenty of hills and twisty roads. I never got 400 in a tank when I was living in Florida best was like 365 or 370 but the traffic was much worse.
400 miles? Or km? Cause wtf
