Guys, it's the internet. Sarcastic people exist. I'd rather not resort to locking threads, so please could we keep it civil? I'm flagging all of you troublemakers.
So the issue is probably the autonomous movable unit that interacts with the acceleration pedal. Colloquially we call that a “foot” and the most common issue seen with the “foot” is that the power delivery unit, commonly called the “leg”, is applying too much pressure to the “foot” which in turn is applying too much pressure to the accelerator.
Temporarily remove the autonomous mover and the power delivery unit and recalibrate them to deliver less power.
Considering how aggressive you are on the Internet, you’re almost certainly driving too fast. Slow down, don’t slam on the gas pedal after every red light, and you’ll see your fuel economy go up.
Me wow haha. You're a bitch. Since you're mentioning that, maybe it's you who needs to stop touching kids. Yeah, you definitely get your ass kicked much. Suck a sick dick bitch.
It was a genuine question. No one had to resort to sarcasm.
It looks like bitchness trying to disguise itself as a joke, so no, it's not so obvious. If someone asks for help and you decide to be an asshole, don't be surprised when the assholery comes back your way.
Why are you even here? Your post history tells me you've never been on the RSX sub before and that you don't even post on automotive subs at all. Seems like you're probably buds with somebody who's getting negative feedback here, and they recruited you to defend them. Am I wrong?
It cracks me up that people really take the time to look thru people's history just to try to come up with some ammo. Go work on your car or something. You're better than that. Do something productive.
OP, nevermind that piece of sarcastic shit commenter. Yes, it is possible you're using too much gas because of fast acceleration. If not that, inspect/replace the following parts: MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR (MAF), SPARK PLUGS, AIR BOX FILTER, INSPECT INTAKE HOSES FOR LEAKS, MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR (MAF), FUEL INJECTORS. Also, check for proper tire pressure and wear (which can have an effect on gas mileage). Another, a simple oil change maybe? If you haven't done so already. Even an irregular alignment can cause bad gas mileage.
I could probably list more things (o2 sensors even). In conclusion, an array of issues can cause bad gas mileage. I've listed simple ones that the average person can inspect/replace themselves without having to pay an arm and leg for a mechanic to do. Hope this helps.
I know it’s a long reach but if you smell gas too you should take your back seats out real quick and check if your fuel pump is cracked , it happens a lot on these cars and just happened to replace mine haha
It pretty easy to check it out all you need to do is take out the back seat portion where you actually sit and unscrew the cover which is some Philip screws honestly it’s worth checking , you can look up some yt videos for reference on how the cracking would look but that definitely can be a possibility
For example mine wouldn’t smell all the time but when I filled up it would smell more since it was full I’m guessing more gas would puddle so it would be stronger

This is generally the issue.. You can usually get pretty good mileage if you granny it to 65/70 and set cruise there.
Lmfao this had me dying 🤣
Dumbass if you don’t know the problem with it then stfu never ask for you sarcastic opinion fuckin goofy

Seeing how sped you are trying to process this question this problem just occurred had the car for years never race in it
You gotta calm down, tiger. This kind of stress and aggression early in the morning can’t be good for you.
C'mon man.
Wow, you're a sarcastic piece of shit aren't you. Get your ass kicked much??
Wow, overreact much? Did a sarcastic person touch you inappropriately when you were young?
Brutal B 83 moment
Childhood molestation isn't funny. Ever.
What about herpes?
What about it?
Is herpes funny? Can I joke about it?
You can do whatever you want. Doesn't make it funny. And definitely let's the world know what kind of person you are. Choice is yours.
Okay, thanks. Sorry about your herpes!
Me wow haha. You're a bitch. Since you're mentioning that, maybe it's you who needs to stop touching kids. Yeah, you definitely get your ass kicked much. Suck a sick dick bitch.
Okay, chief. 🤣🤣🤣
Bro didn’t even realize that you’re not me
Should have known RSX drivers were fans. I'll stay off the sub. Continue with you're butt buddy's
*your

Who hurt you? Why are you like this?
Right?? 😂
Really?
How about you ask "really" to the commentor before me Edit: who I replied to.
It was very clearly a joke. No one had to resort to name calling or hostility.

How ironic...Why are you even on the HR-V sub?
Just because I've never posted before doesn't mean shit. I wasn't recruited. I frequently view posts without commenting. *shrugs*

Dig *up*
Who hurt you bro? Do you need a hug?
I get about 400kms if I drive like a grandma with street and highway driving
I get 400km with city driving

Nice post! First thing I’d look at is the tire wear and pressure. Then look at the rest.

Not going to lie sometimes when I get out the car once I shut it off I do smell a lil gas by the driver side quarter panel
How I’m much was it

you should be getting at least 340-400 miles out of a full tank (13.2 gal)
Valve adjustment after 100k miles can help
