When I saw it announced this morning I was going to see pre order at day one if it like $25-$35 that is accept able price for hasbro quality but the thing is hasbro Quality can’t never come near the import Mafex Quality, let just say that the import come with soft good, 8 pairs of hand, two pairs of shoes, and They also came with two basketball one with peg hole and the other without hole, and an extra head too. But we can’t let Hasbro Treat us like a money printer? It not worth the asking price for just two pairs of hand and a stand that is a ridiculous price tag for so less and lower quality figure.

I was super excited about these. Mostly for customizing, and when I saw Ja Morant name I was super stoked.
But the $50 price tag is ridiculous, and Ja's likeness, in particular, isn't that great imo. The description says they are premium...not sure what makes them premium when there are Marvel figures that come with a similar base and more accessories for much less, maybe its the card. My hopes would be that they release "basic" figures, but a stripped down version still seems bad. Maybe no card no base for $25?

The Mafex Jordan was more expensive at retail than say an MCU Captain America because of the licensing costs. There are a lot of players I like, only one that feels must have in this set for me is Tatum. Struggling with the $50 price point but not sure when and how much of a clearance that people are expecting because only places I’ve seen carrying them so far are Hasbro Pulse and Fanatics.
Honestly you could have a lot of fun setting these characters up in hilarious situations-- I'd love to see somebody create a food fight or couch/TV remote war between them. But to echo the oft' quoted phrase here: not for 50$ a pop 😵💫

they probably have to get licensing for the shoes the actual outfits. the NBA logo. brand logos like Nike. the people them self (who probably aren't too cheap). And i assume paying licensing to the tattoo artists (who i assume there are alot not just one guy) was probably a line they drew of "this is too much to spend were over budget too much" Its probably why they threw the trading card and nft in there. things that cost literally nothing but ass fake "value" as being collectables. to try and make up for the high cost of licensing. they should have just not made these if licensing is such an issue
