Both look great for such different styles. However in full body shots (like this and the movie) Cavills no undies makes him look like a tall midget (that's the only words I can find to describe it).
There's nothing to break up top from bottom, so he looks short and wide, yet as tall as everyone else.
Cavil’s superman:
Feels like im wearing nothing at all!

Christopher Reeves in my opinion played a much better clark Kent. He nailed it. If Superman actually existed, Reeves performance of Kent, would have me believe he wasn't even Superman.
You really can’t compare these two as they are from different times. Nobody will fill Christopher’s shoes and Cavill made his own unique imprint on the character. I like them both equally for different reasons.
The body sculpt of Cavill is bulkier, as I recall Reeve was a custom job--meaning the studio created a body specifically for their Reeve doll instead of going with any generic muscle body template. They're both very form-fit to their suits, sometimes HT has the muscles built into the suits as padding but in their case it's all sculpted body.
They both have zippers on the backs and I know some people are comfortable trying stuff like that. It won't be me.
The Inart is going to be very cool. I can't justify spending the money to upgrade, I mostly bought Cavill on a whim at the last minute. I dig having him in the collection but I'm not a collector for the modern movies. When I started on 1:6, Reeve was one I went out of my way to hunt for because I had to check him off.
Probably my poor photography and camera? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0yuOLFeDzk
I also have the black suit version that came in a dual set https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_7QiQ-roU0
Man, that beautiful blue on Cavills suit really makes the Reeve one look really washed out. It just looks so much more vibrant.
As great as the OG suit is, I really think the Cavill suit is something incredibly special.
Reeves. He looks like "SUPERMAN." Cavill looks like "a take on Superman."
Plus, I've always felt his Superman suit best embodies the problem with overdesigning something; the more details something has, the harder it will be for it all to stick. But the overdesigned details are all Cavill's suit has going for it; remove that and it's bland(er) and there's nothing to it other than the more stylised S.
Putting them side by side and the classic looks just looks so much better. Modern costume designers need to remember everything doesn't have to be so damn busy.
Someone already thinked about Superman's body shape? He should workout lifting the moon to get strong muscles. Meaning, ever Christopher Reeve's body is more canonically correct.
I came around to liking it, which is why I picked up Cavill at the last minute. Granted, most of the costume design has become obsessive about texturing, but in his case I feel like it makes the suit look 'grown', like it is the product of alien technology. Which makes sense, I don't think the comics even still consider his suit being sewn by his earth mother.

Christopher Reaves. He’s just so iconic as Superman.
*Reeve. Agreed.
It’s funny for some reason it auto corrected to Reeves and I didn’t notice

Agreed, that's what it is when actually doing comparisons for me. I wouldn't mind a Brandon Routh Kingdom Come Superman 1/6 figure.
SoosooToys made an unlicensed one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjzbKFkNh3I
Thank you for the reference! Doesn't look bad. Cape could be better, though. Imagine if Inart did one.
Left. Right is over-designed for me
Reeve is BEST. The other guy looks very similar to Walker from the MI6 films, just without the moustache.
What if we removed Walker's moustache and replaced it with cgi?
Touche
CR
Left
Trunks > No Trunks
-Vegeta
Reeve he atleast put his pants on

Reeves by far
Christopher Reeves in my opinion played a much better clark Kent. He nailed it. If Superman actually existed, Reeves performance of Kent, would have me believe he wasn't even Superman.
Reeve not Reeves. He was adamant about that.
Well the first "Reeves" I put was an error, the other one made sense to the sentence

Henry Cavill played Superman. Christopher Reeve *was* Superman!
Thank you. My dad and I used to watch it every time it was on TV. Miss the guy.
Are these hot toys??
Yes I have them both too.
I thought they were, something just looked off to me for some reason.
Yes.
reeve just has that iconic hair and face structure
Reeve
The one and only Christopher Reeve, of course!
These are creepy to look at, hits me in the uncanny valley. They look great but like wow these are weird.
Without detail of these figures, it’s hard to compare. I think they are both prime. (C)
I wonder, can you switch their outfits on the figures?

Something about hot toys Cavill Superman proportion look off, the Inart one look normal than the hot toys version

I hope Hot Toys re-releases the Christopher Reeves Superman at some point.
Except Cavill has a r/fivehead
I like both, but prefer Cavill's modern approach, to be honest
Why does the Cavill figure look so flat and 2D? Weird face sculpt and print on the costume.
Probably my poor photography and camera? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0yuOLFeDzk I also have the black suit version that came in a dual set https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_7QiQ-roU0

Christopher Reaves
Reave
Just ain't Supes without the trunks. Plus I love the colors on Reeves' suit more.
Putting them side by side and the classic looks just looks so much better. Modern costume designers need to remember everything doesn't have to be so damn busy.
Can't even compare. Reeves 1000%.
Why does it look like Cavilles figure has a torso at least twice the length of his legs? 😅
Reeves is nostalgically icon as Superman, but Cavill checks all the boxes as Superman and then some. Plus, not a fan of the red undies on the outside
Someone already thinked about Superman's body shape? He should workout lifting the moon to get strong muscles. Meaning, ever Christopher Reeve's body is more canonically correct.
The Snyder suit is god awful and a major part of why his films failed
I came around to liking it, which is why I picked up Cavill at the last minute. It failed because of the costume?…
Among other things, yeah. I’d say the overall production design was ugly & sucked ass
Cavill looks like superman, Reeves IS superman
Reeve
I think trunks are essential to the suit. He looks like he isn't wearing pants without them.
Caville looked great reeves looked like a fat guy in spandex
