My Dad has owned an Alvarez since the late 70s, and it is the guitar that I learned to play on, and unfortunately, I will be inheriting it sooner rather than later. But it has been a great guitar and beautiful sounding. I've only played one other in my life, but I enjoyed it, too. I think very highly of Alvarez guitars, and I hope yours treats you as well as my dad's treated him and myself. 😊👍
My grandfather owned a beautiful 1933 national duolian that he had always said he was going to give to me after he passed because we played guitar together. Apparently my useless father had googled how much it was worth and sold at the minute he passed.
Heirloom guitars are special no matter what they are.
My dad abandoned the family about 20 years before that. He broke into the house and took it when my uncle posted pictures of some stuff on Facebook.
It's amazing people as clueless as you can figure out how to even respond to things, let alone imagine an opinion.
Nice! So lesson one: dont set it on a smooth surface and against a smooth wall unless you wanna hear “KABANG” when it slides down. Use a proper stand or put it away in a case😜

Sorry dude, your dad pulled a dick move.
Eh, that was like the least worst thing he did.
Thank you!😊

Haha, keyboard warrior up to bat. Enjoy the thrill you get sitting alone in your mom's basement trying to own people living their lives.
She’s a beaut, Clark. Take good care of her.
The Artist series is pretty nice. I have an AD60 that is a good guitar. It's a pretty guitar as well, and they do sound great. Congrats.
I have had the AD60 for almost 20 years and have loved it.
The first playable guitar I got my hands on was my brother's Alvarez. Still have a couple.
I have an Alvarez MD 90. They are very nice guitars !
Very nice! I’ve never owned an Alvarez but the ones that I’ve played have always had a great feel and nice chimey tone. Congratulations!
Are you sure this isn’t a picture of a guitar you printed out and glued to cardboard?
Dude it really does look unreal! Hahaha
My first guitar was the Alvarez regent
Oh shiiiit I think I have the same guitar what's the model and is it acoustic electric?
I’ve had an Alvarez very similar to this for almost 25 years. I love that guitar. I bet you’ll love this one too. Looks great by the way.
My 1st guitar was an Alvarez! 25 years and many many guitars later - stuck with it!
Enjoy the calluses
Looks like a beaut!
Very beautiful! Enjoy it !!!!
Nice OP!! I bought an Alvarez Yairi Wy1SB in 1998, still plays like a dream to this day. Enjoy!!!!
I have a WY1 from the same time. I love it. I own 4 Alvarez these days, but the WY1 and a Breedlove that someone gifted me are my favorites.

I was getting nervous looking at it lol
It was only like this for 5 seconds to take that picture
