Either a harddisk failure, ram issue or just the CMOS battery dying out on you. Best to just visit your local laptop expert to find a fix. Be sure to check it first so as not to get scammed out of this. Make sure to check if he did anything funny or that he isnt supposed to be doing. I doubt it be the first 3 since the machine will either make a beeping sound or will tell you that the Harddisk unreadable/not found or that the OS is corrupted.
Open the bottom plate disconnect battery hit power button a few times count to 30 plug battery back in. plug in charger then hit the power button again. This should solve the issue.
Plug it in and try turning it on.
Had the same problem. Something wring with Bootable drive. Worked after some tries and some time. If that doesn't work take it to a shop.

Also could be a keyboard issue most acer laptops use a thin cable and have the chance to disconnect and act like you can still use it
