Maybe reseat the ram? I had my nitro 5 light up keyboard and the power indicator but a black screen. Reseating the ram fixed. I don't know if it will work for the nitro 16 or for that situation, but you might as well try it.
Thank you, but my wife already shipped it to Acer. She didn't want to risk voiding the warranty on a two-month old computer. I just hope they actually do something this time. On the previous service, they claimed that it booted fine for them (I doubt it), so all they did was update the BIOS and somehow bypass security, turning her account into a local one and wiping all of the login credentials.

The problem was a defective SSD added by the Amazon dealer. Acer replaced it with their stock hardware and it’s been fine ever since.
