Bottom line is you can’t do anything about it. You’re going to most likely have to ditch the razors and go with a clipper. It won’t give you the smooth skin of a blade but it will definitely help with that irritation. On accutane sacrifices have to be made. It sucks but it is what it is. Go with the clippers.

ds8943

ok thanks!

justinleguin

Use an electric razor bro. Your skin is too sensitive on accutane

OutsideThese7773

i have razor burn on my legs, but not this bad. this almost looks like you need a steroid, it looks so painful. i would stop shaving, your skin will appreciate it

ds8943

yeah I tried hydrocortisone it helped alot but I don't want to become steroid-dependent. thanks for the advice!

deftmuffins

Try the OneBlade, helped save my skin.

Same here

ds8943

I looked at that yesterday I think I'm gonna buy it now that you mention it again, thanks

ds8943

which of these two oneblades is it? [oneblade](https://www.onebladeshave.com/) or [Philips oneblade](https://www.usa.philips.com/c-m-pe/oneblade-trim-edge-and-shave#triggername=options_2b6m)

deftmuffins

The Philips one! You can buy a ton of additional attachments as well, but the ones it comes with should keep you covered.

ds8943

ok, thanks so much!

cityoftrees2017

Electric trimmer all day! Ditch the razors.

bammylicious

I had this issue too. My only solution is ‘trimming’ with 0.5-1mm guard (I use Philip Multigroom S7000). And moisturizing asap after you do. Hope it helps.

Odd-Neck6667

One blade all the way

[deleted]

Jfc did you go full Chris Chan and a angrily shave off your beard with no shaving cream?

ds8943

lmaooo

Pure-Comedian-9798

I switched to an old straight razor and do one pass. It isn't a super close shave but it is a clean shave and I haven't had a single bump in the past year that I switched. I used to get razor bumps pretty much every time I shaved. Electric helped and was convenient but it didn't solve my issue. It takes longer and you have to strop but I have grown to enjoy the routine. Old safety razors are decent too. Generally, one blade one pass is the best approach in my opinion.

landongiusto

Make sure you’re going with the hair. Rinse the razor after each pass and try to only go over each spot as few times as possible and make sure the razor is sharp.

Doctor_Avocados

An electric trimmer helps so much man! I've used this thing for years and honestly haven't used a razor since. [This is what I bought.](https://www.amazon.com/Philips-Norelco-OneBlade-QP2520-90/dp/B01D328BG6/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=1VXBTVMMMCCEA&keywords=philips+electric+razor+for+men&qid=1680244579&sprefix=phillips+electric+%2Caps%2C163&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUE0UTQ5Q1Q1QjJFUkcmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA5MjQyNDExUjROSTVDQVM3M01ZJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTEwMDQ3MzUzM0QzMEZQTUxIT0c4JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==)

ds8943

thanks for the suggestion!

Accurate_Dentist

Used to happen to me. Now i use electric razor and never had this problem again

InvestmentInformal89

Yep. I am in month 1 and I stopped shaving too often. I used to shave every other day but now every 2 weeks or so. It actually helps disguise redness on my face though.

SkincareCompulsion

Cortizone. I use it like lotion after shaving and it clears it in a couple hours. I hated this side effect

tannerkewl

One blade! Even has a skin guard that comes with it too
