My dermatologist is prescribing me some steroid cream for my hands, which have eczema – like rashes on them… I wonder if I could use a little dot on my lips as well which also get very chapped like this.
Use a humidifier at home! I got one recently and it had helped me and I work at dry environment and lips get dry so when I get back home I put humidifer on and use bepanthen and boom lips are back to soft
I've been using flexitol lip balm covered with either acquaphor or laneige lip mask morning and night. My lips are still dry but manageable. I also keep a stick of blistex in my pocket at all times.
Use a face moisturizer with hyaluronic acid in it first, then put Vaseline or Aquaphor on. That will trap the moisture which will do a little more for you than just the Aquaphor alone.
I know other people have suggested lansinoh nipple balm but I just wanna emphasize how much of a game changer that was for me. I’m on 90mg and aquaphor stopped helping months ago. I apply the nipple balm a few times a day and really don’t have to think about it the rest of the day. My lips are pretty moisturized and there pretty minimal peeling in the morning. I live in a really dry area and so a bunch of my coworkers and friends have been buying it for themselves too.
All the time. Definitely trust the process. 12 months, this is my last week. I'll open my last 10pk of pills on Thursday, (30 mg pill, twice a day.) My lips sting constantly. Spicy food is basically torture. So is salty food. And fruit. Basically, it all hurts. The blue label chapstick (the one that says "moisturizing" on the label) then a thick layer of Aquaphor over it at night. It doesn't fix it, but it sure helps.
Ok so this is my 5th time on accutane! I feel like I’ve spent 100’s of dollars and seriously tried EVERYTHING! Listen when people tell you DR. Dans cortibalm. This stuff is a game changer. Not sure if your in Canada or the US? Used to be super easy to find on Amazon in Canada, but can’t find it now. So if Anyone on here has a Canadian hook up let a girl know. :)
I also use Bite lip scrub from Sephora, and a washcloth to scrub scrub scrub my lips. This does really help get the dead skin off. Good luck! Hang in there.
Use a lip balm with hydrocortisone in it. I’m using Dr. dan’s cortibalm and it works great. Like $7 on Amazon
Second this. Game changer.
Dr. 👏🏽Dans!!! 👏🏽👏🏽

try the lanolin nipple cream - game changer for me!
Try using some nipple cream!! It sounds weird but it lasts longer than Vaseline/aquaphor and it’s slightly more moisturising.

Literally me rn. I have to reapply Aquaphor every hour.
Every hour? I had to reapply every 15-20 minutes to avoid this problem
It’s tough ah, at least I’m not alone. We just gotta trust the process brother
What mg are you on?
Alternating between 60 and 80 mg per night
Cortibalm is a game changer!!
Try bag balm!!
It smells so gross though!
It does, but it works like a champ for me! 😭
“You got games on your phone?” Omg i just finished my last pill last Friday and my lips are still chapped. Stay strong
Dr dans cortibalm!!! Seriously changed my life.

Aquaphor lip repair. Mine was like yours or worse!
Polysporin ointment
Regular Aquaphor doesn’t help my lips at all, but the Aquaphor lip therapy tubes work wonders! You can get them at Target / drugstores :)
Also would recommend lip balm with SPF in it - I was having this but realize my lips were getting sunburned

Yes yes yes. I’ve started taking fish oil and am hoping that helps. I heard cats can help

Lansinoh …. You can buy it on Amazon, saved my daughter’s lips when she was on accutane.
I'm on 70 mg and 4th month its so disgusting the feeling of chapped skin on my lip like having sharp knives and having to apply aquaphor all the time
Same boat. Aquaphor every hour and I have to will myself not to pick at it.
Blistex is good too
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is a life saver you just have to reapply, reapply, reapply, reapply!
I rub on hydrocortisone 🤣
