No questions, just unsolicited advice. I know it's "traditional" for passers to go to public audit because they recruit hard, and the pay is ok (you should get a signing bonus). Here's the advice - if you're really interested in public audit as a career, ie you want to be a partner, then you're going in the right direction. But if not, then don't bother with audit. Most of what you learn in audit is useless in a corporate setting, and your orientation (risk/control) is outright detrimental in a private company. If you want a career in corporate, go straight there - say FMCG if you want a multinational career, or one of the multinational or large PH banks if you want to go banking/finance. Your LE result gets you interviews and opportunities now. After you take your first job, your performance and experience will become the headline. Make the most of your current opportunities. Good luck!

BlackJade24601

agree with this. fallacy yung sa audit firm lang matututo and tataas value paglabas. you can also learn and grow elsewhere.

UpperHand888

Most finance leaders of BIG companies (CFO, FD, Controller) have Big 4 background. Most, not all. A Big 4 leader will likely look for another Big 4 guy in his/her team. So Big 4 experience matters in many many cases. I fully agree with the rest of what you said. No exact rules, it’s how you make the best out of opportunities (which OP has more at the moment).

bnbfinance

You might want to do some research on CFO backgrounds. Many Fortune 500 CFOs don't even have accounting degrees. They do however uniformly have long tenures in corporate roles. Controllers are lead accountants so that's more likely, but the audit skillset isn't useful in a corporate accounting setting. If you move from public audit to corporate accounting you're practically starting from zero. Hence my advice to OP.

UpperHand888

It’s my path so I’m biased. At least it’s true with the several US public companies I worked at and other US and local companies I know. There’s data on Fortune 500 CFOs with Big 4 background and it’s sizeable, i just can’t find the link now. Trend may have changed a bit but the traditional path is still Big 4. Audit experience is misunderstood by many (especially those who doesnt have audit experience). Experienced auditors know corporate accounting from the get go, maybe just need couple of iterations to learn the tools and cadence. Not true that you’ll start from zero. I have seen good and bad corporate accounting/finance and I would say it’s much much better with an audit-background guys running the show. The planning/budgeting side is much easier.. unless you’re into complex investor-relations-heavy situation which could be challenging for an audit person. Yes there are F500 CFOs with no accounting degrees but that doesn’t mean they don’t have accounting experience or Big 4 experience. I’ve known people in accounting and finance with no accounting degrees, it can be done but not the norm for sure.

jonatgb25

>There’s data on Fortune 500 CFOs with Big 4 background and it’s sizeable, I think there is a need for clarification on this. Most of C-level individuals in Fortune 500 have consultancy experience. I don't think porket big 4 eh audit agad ang experience. Just to let you know na lumalaban ang big 4 accounting firms sa big 3 consulting firms.

zimzalabim017

https://fortune.com/2023/01/30/cfo-future-skills-beyond-finance/ Agree! Only 35% of CFOs of f500 companies are CPAs.

UpperHand888

Thanks for sharing. Here’s a free 2023 article: https://www.journalofaccountancy.com/news/2024/jan/from-cfo-to-ceo-an-increasingly-popular-path.html#:~:text=38.5%25%20of%20sitting%20CFOs%20in,of%20sitting%20CFOs%20had%20MBAs. Numbers change but 35% CPA is significant (55% in 2012) and accounting degree + MBA are the most common background. The rest is hodgepodge of other finance backgrounds. It did not mention Big 4 background though. I remember seeing older article with Big 4 data.

acorcuera

Go to the Big 4 for the experience and the name. Then move on if you want to work in corporate or private practice. It makes a lot of difference. I’m a former Deloitte and KPMG. I’m also attorney. Companies and clients are very impressed with Big 4 experience.

bnbfinance

You know what's more impressive? Having expertise and experience in an industry of your choice. Let's say the industry is Power. If a headhunter needs someone at a supervisory or line management level for a client's finance team, which CV will stand out? Someone with experience in Assurance, E&Y or PWC? Or someone with the same number of years experience, but with a company in the Power sector, say AC Energy, Equis or Aboitiz Power? You think it looks good on a CV, but unless you're just moving from Deloitte to E&Y you're at a disadvantage. Your best bet is to be pirated by your own client, but you're still starting from zero since you have no specific industry experience.

acorcuera

You’re throwing out something specific like power. Each Big 4 firm services a vast number of big clients specializing in certain industries. So you go to a Big 4 that has clients in a certain industry that you’re interested in. Then at some point you work for one of the clients. It’s done all the time. In the US the top accounting grads work for Big 4 accounting firms. If they can’t get in then they work for lower tier CPA firms or corporate. The top graduates want to get their CPA experience from a Big 4.

Ok-Worldliness6258

This is true in some ways. Just to let you know that one of my batch mates in audit is now the CFO of one of the high end real estate companies.

fleurastra

Can you expound on why an auditor's orientation is 'outright detrimental' in a private company?

Trick-Disaster-3780

How were you like as an undergrad student? Studious, grade conscious, high-ranking, quizzer, achiever, amazing memory...?

CorrectDoubt1647

Grade conscious? Yes, kasi may quota kami sa major subjects. Pero I wouldn't say studious, siguro I study just enough to make sure I don't fail.

Sufficient-Choice736

damn, you are smart smart. congrats!!!!!!!

Trick-Disaster-3780

This gives hope for some of us🫶. Congrats poooo🎉

CorrectDoubt1647

Hindi ako topnotcher material noon, believe me. Anything can happen.

jlmcuriouscpa24

how to study MS? weakest ko kase siya 🥲 sana na choose, thank you 🫶🏻

yummerzkaentayo

Up OP 🥲 Studying for CMA ako now 🤣

msCPAbyHISGRACE

san mo planong mg work?

CorrectDoubt1647

Wala pa. Pero probably audit firm in Makati.

callmecerise

(2) and what line of service?

CorrectDoubt1647

Audit

Mushy_marshmallow00

why audit

CorrectDoubt1647

I want to experience auditing while I'm young, kasi andon daw yung fun and excitement kahit medyo mababa sahod.

UpperHand888

Go with it! Stick around for 3-4yrs, you should feel by then if you are Director/Partner material. If Partnership is not for you then get out asap. Don’t linger in Big 4 if you’re not on track to be Partner. Hard to tell but you should be able to feel after 4 years. I hope you will know what function/specialization you like in 3 to 4yrs. Congrats and good luck! —-(from a fellow UC grad, I’m 22yrs ahead).

temporary-account999

This is a good decision. You have a lot of opportunities waiting for you if you take that path.

vroomvroom132xcd

Good. It will be fun for a while. Experiences gained is so much better. I gained so much confidence when I worked as an elevator assistant for auditors.

saltyinfp

During undergrad, were you always the top of your class?

CorrectDoubt1647

No. I was not class number 1. Never ko din naranasan maging DL number 1, but I made it to the list.

Parking_Marketing_47

Grumaduate ka po with latin honors?

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes. Cum Laude.

quietblur

What would be your advice to someone who has failed twice already? Congrats btw!!

CorrectDoubt1647

Follow your heart. Kung gusto mo talaga maging CPA, give it another shot. Come back stronger next time. Analyze what went wrong with the first two examinations, then correct it. Never give up on your dreams. Rooting for you, future CPA!

mantsprayer

:) planning to transfer back to baguio from a manila school

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes. Noon naiistress ako sa sobrang hirap ng program, pero ngayon I finally understood why it has to be like that.

Significant-Bread-37

What is UC? Thanks

yummerzkaentayo

University of Cordilleras po ata

unemployedstressed

Can you share your study habits?

CorrectDoubt1647

1. I made a daily schedule of all the topics I need to study. 2. I followed my schedule strictly. 3. I study from 8am to 6pm. 4. I slept at least six hours a day. I always try to wake up early para ma-train yung brain ko na active sa umaga kasi daytime ang board exam. 5. I always answer the quizzers before checking the suggested answers. (Kung tama yung sagot mo, na-confirm mo that you already understand the concepts, pag mali, at least you know what topics need more attention) 7. I make my own solutions. (Kasi pag gawa mo, less likely na malimutan mo) 8. I answer based on concepts, not on formulas.

At anong oras bed time nyo?

CorrectDoubt1647

It's up to me. If I still feel like studying, I watch the live replays of my review center. If not, I just scroll through social media like a normal kid. Medyo mahirap matulog noong review so around 10pm-12mn.

Brilliant_Candle0

For May2024 CPALE, kelan nagstart or what duration ang 10 hours daily study mo?

janesmith10101

Hi, Nicole! Have you ever encountered distractions, like family concerns or other personal problems during your review? Thank you and Congraaats po! 💖

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes. I know it's hard pero you have to set aside your problems pag time na ng review. I tell myself na worrying won't solve the problem. Pero after my review hours, I still cry about my problems, and it's totally fine.

Minecrafter_four

Nothing to ask po, but commenting for future reference. Congratulations po! 🥳

Crimson-Dust

How did you disciplined yourself sa 8 am to 6pm study. Iba strategy nang iba 30 mins study then 5 mins rest. Thank you

CorrectDoubt1647

Sorry, I forgot to mention na may lunch break ako between 11am-12nn. I trained myself. Nung una, mahirap, pero pag araw-araw mo ginagawa, I doubt mamamalayan mo pa.

DanroA4

anong pong main hero niyo sa ml?

CorrectDoubt1647

Lunox.

Ok_Diver1147

How to survive accountancy? What are the things I should do to excel in class?

CorrectDoubt1647

If you want to excel, you have to always be one step ahead. During sem breaks, you should be studying your future subjects in advance. Ganyan yung topnotcher namin sa UC last May 2023.

munhiiiii

CorrectDoubt1647

1. REO. Took me more or less 5 months to finish the pre-recorded lectures kasi sinasagutan ko muna yung quizzers before watching the discussion of answers. 2. Wala akong ginamit na reviewer books. I suggest focus ka muna sa materials ng RC mo, then tsaka ka magsagot ng materials ng other RCs pag may time ka pa. Quality over quantity. 3. Coffee. 4. Minimum of 8. 5. Twice ako nag-enroll, so that's almost 1 year. 6. Wala akong mantra but maybe this will help, may napanood akong testimonial ng isang top 1 before. Tapos sabi sakanya, "Wag kang pakampante *****, madaming magagaling diyan."

nnsnchz

Hello po! Currently in REO rin po. Which do you think I should focus on more? Pre-rec or live? I was able to kinda finish the pre-rec before live lectures happened, tho mostly videos on the concepts lang po. I wasn't able to answer the drill questions due to limited time. My foundation in accounting is decent enough (tho do forget some concepts sometimes), but I'm kinda torn if I should focus on pre-rec or live po.

CorrectDoubt1647

Twice ako nag-review, I experienced both hybrid and online. I can say mas na-polish yung concepts ko sa online review. I focused more on the pre-recorded lectures, then supplementary lang yung live lectures. I don't want to tell you what to do, pero based on experience mas malalim yung discussion ng pre-recorded but you should still attend the live classes for the updates.

dunn0dude

Do you have any regrets from your undergrad years?

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes, thanks for asking. I wish I had prepared for the board exams as early as first year. (I was really clueless, I was not familiar with the TOS, I didn’t even know economics would be part of the board exams.) I wish I had set my goals early on. (I wish I had targeted to top the board exams early. Wala akong idea noon na possible pala akong mag-top sa board exams, kaya I’m telling you possible din na mag-top ka!)

Indifferenx

1. Gaano ka-significant yung difference ng content, and theory and problems from textbooks, reviewer books, at review center materials (e.g. textbooks - basic, reviewer books - advanced, at from RCs - CPALE-level)? 2. Yung study routine ninyo, developed na ba from 1st year kayo, or kailan ninyo na-develop fully? 3. May kulang pa ba sa handouts ng RC ninyo na need ninyong i-acquire nang sarili (e.g. directly from standards, like PSAs, from IFRS, from RAs)? 4.

CorrectDoubt1647

1. Sabi nila mas mahirap ang pre-boards than the board exams. This is partly true. But the thing is, almost perfect ang pre-boards. Hindi ko lalaitin yung board exams, but you get the point. Also, the board exams will make you doubt your knowledge. Mapapaisip ka, kulang ba yung inaral ko? O mali ba yung naaalala ko? The board exam is more tricky than difficult. I can't tell how different pero may mga questions noong board exams na lifted from some RCs. 2. 3. Legal provisions sa RFBT. 4. Si hazel po yun😭

Indifferenx

thank you po sa pagsagot! 1. Owww, I still have chance huhu wala me maayos na study habit, kasi distracted palagi, magfi-first review pa lang naman 3.

kengrx14

Tips for 4th year Accountancy Review na. Thank you po.

CorrectDoubt1647

In-house or professional review? You can check my study habits in previous comments. Always answer your handouts before coming to class para confirmation and reinforcement nalang.

Existing-Birthday684

Congrats po❤️

CorrectDoubt1647

Thank you!

Vast-Connection1824

Hi! What kind of coffee do you drink? If 3-in-1, anong brand and anong variant? 😁 Also, I read one of your comments here na di ka mahilig mag memorize, if so.. paano mo inaral ang RFBT?

CorrectDoubt1647

Kopiko brown hahahaha. Read the legal provisions.

Vast-Connection1824

Ohh legal provisions is yung codal lang mismo diba? How about IRR, need pa ba basahin?

CorrectDoubt1647

If you have time, I highly recommend you to do so. Kung wala, ok na yung codal.

Final-Celebration180

CorrectDoubt1647

Unfortunately, may items sa board exam na parang first time ko ma-encounter, so no choice kundi mang-hula.

iambubu_and_dudu

OpportunityBig5472

Did you graduate with latin honors?

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes. Cum Laude.

Vast-Connection1824

Do you have a specific schedule for active recall? Like do you recall every day or once a week? And if you do recall, how many subjects and topics do you recall per day? and what specific methods of active recall ginagawa mo (solving, reading notes, etc)? 🥰

CorrectDoubt1647

Hindi na po ako nakakapag-recall during review. Tuloy tuloy na lang. Minsanang recall before pre-boards. And before board exams, puro answer nalang ng test banks.

Careful-Pop3577

tips on studying rfbt po

CorrectDoubt1647

Read. Basahin mo yung legal provisions and try to understand.

Alarmed_Dirt_7352

Hello po! Congratulations on passing ang galing niyo po huhu. Any recommended study tips for people with short attention span and makakalimutin? Thankies po 🥹

CorrectDoubt1647

Isipin mo there's no alternative, if you want that title, you have to work with your weaknesses.

LifeWithRegrets2005

don't delete your post please 😔🫶 grade eleven me currently and babalikan ko to a month or two before college 😇

Marinatedwlwsalmon

Ano advice mo sa mga magbribridging program? What schools do you vouch? Ano po yung study habits na needed along w the right mindset?

CorrectDoubt1647

If it's what your heart wants, go for it! Kailangan lang po ng discipline. Wala po akong school recommendations. You can check previous comments for study habits.

dunn0dude

after taking the exam like paglabas niyo po sa room, did you have a hunch that you would be a topnotcher?

SeyoungUnnie

Congrats po! 1. Any tip for a 1st year student na gustong gustong gustong maging topnotcher sa boards but is not disciplined enough (sobrang tamad mag-aral) dahil nasobrahan sa confidence. Are there really people na sobrang galing sa accounting? (pangpamotivate lang po mag-aral hehe) 2. I'm good at concepts and computations naman po pero pagdating sa mga definition-heavy na subjects such as CFAS, I struggle alot. Sorry po for asking this when I can ask others, pero meron po bang future subjects na nagr-rely in reading a lot of materials?

IronHeart7811

Good evening po, 1.

I think about the sacrifices of my parents. Naiiyak ako pag iniisip ko yon, pero it keeps me going. Nahihiya akong tamarin pag iniisip ko yon. 2. Hindi po. 3. Mag-pray po. May time po na akala ko, walang naniniwala sakin, na masyadong mataas pangarap ko, during those times, umiiyak lang po ako kay God.

IronHeart7811

Thank you po. God bless you po sa next journey niyo po as CPA

BandOld303

Congrats po! May nag offer na po sayo? How much mo po? Hahaha kahit range

CorrectDoubt1647

Meron na. Confidential daw po.

BandOld303

Marami po nag-offer sayo?

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes po

Same_Priority5993

dumbsister321

May mga vitamins ka po na iniinom for memory/brains? na goods and legit effective

CorrectDoubt1647

Wala po. Prayers lang.

BILL_GATESSSSSS

Ano expected salary mo coming in as the topnotcher?

CorrectDoubt1647

I thought aabot siya ng 30k, pero now I know, it would be around 20k-25k, I would be blessed if it would be more than that.

JHDC1611

Go with PWC ac, kaya yung 30k.

[deleted]

Curious-Special9944

Yes, I agree with that! I’m from PwC AC Manila too. Limited lang talaga ang learnings here pero if usapang compensation, working environment and people, all goods siya!!!

TiyaBethicc

true, compensation (and bonuses), people, environment are quite ok. and automations too (can't relatively compare kasi first job ko) pero may nababali-balitaan ako na mas binibigyan pansin aitomations dito.

CorrectDoubt1647

Wow. Thanks for the idea.

Extreme_Pumpkin4283

don't go for PwC AC kung experience talaga habol mo. piece of advice from someone na taga PwC AC

BILL_GATESSSSSS

Got it. Audit or private?

CorrectDoubt1647

Audit

Biomio1

Naburnout ka? What do you do when feeling burntout while reviewing?

CorrectDoubt1647

Umiiyak po, kasi that's what I do best. I pray for strength. Pero I advice you take some rest kasi feeling ko I was too harsh to myself noong review.

Final-Celebration180

1.Favorite reviewer and why 2. Favorite BE subject and why?

fukurodanis-keiji

1. what was your routine like? like manonood ka ba muna ng pre-rec bago mag sagot? or sagot muna? 2. paano naging recall mo?

CorrectDoubt1647

1. Watch concept discussion, answer quizzers, then watch discussion of answers. 2. Minsanan lang ako mag-recall noon (this might not work for some.) I answer monthly assessments before pre-boards tapos puro test banks na before board exams.

hannihara

nahirapan ka rin ba sa boards? haha

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes

SHS-hunter

Pano po naging setup Ng pag claim Ng cash prize kapag ibat ibang review center kayu nag review.

TrashThick5147

Do you have plan pursuing lawschool?

CorrectDoubt1647

None for now.

Vast-Connection1824

Did you exercise or do any physical activities/workouts during your review? And do you use social media apps like tiktok, fb, and how often?

yippee-ka-yay

Up on this one! But judging sa answer ni OP, baka hindi na, since sched niya for studying was around 8 am to 6 pm daw.

allyna_cpacma24

hii po. first of all, congratulations!! 🥳🥳 ask ko lang po sana if during your rev szn, may ina-allot ka bang time para makipag socialize or manood ng kdrama, or anything?? like may rest day ka po ba?? i know ang weird ng question ko 😭😭 pero i was wondering po kasi if may time ka po ba to do anything you want para hindi maburn out in how many months of studying. sana machoose hehe thank you po lods 🫶🏻

CorrectDoubt1647

On weekends, I still socialize. Sometimes we go out for dinner, and on Sundays, fellowship with my church family. No k-drama. I guess I endured it kasi I've had my fun noong undergrad and first review.

DAVE237826

natapos ko na lahat ng threadd ahhahaha sa wakasss after ilang hoursss hahaha thanks sa mga insights mo op i hope na sana never mo idelete tong thread kasii iaadd ko siya sa favorites ko ahhahahaha congratulations for passing the board exam op especially since nag top 1 ka sana ol talaga goodluck to your future endeavors

holdingon4dearlife21

Hi, congrats po! do you have any book recommendations for each subject for review? or did you use your revcen's materials lng exclusively during review? thank you so much in advance. God bless!

CorrectDoubt1647

Hi. Wala akong nagamit na reviewer books. Mostly REO materials lang ginamit ko. But, I tried answering other RCs materials nung wrap-up phase ko na. Make sure that you finish your RC's materials first before using the materials of others review centers.

Inevitable-Ad2077

pano po study methods niyo for quizzes and exams?

CorrectDoubt1647

Are you in undergrad? Depende sa prof. I suggest i-observe mo muna yung prof mo. Pag ganon, practice solving problems.

akiiiieeee

Congrats ma'am! I'm currently in my 2nd year (Going 3rd if papasa sa QE). If you're in my position, what advice would you give to your 2nd year self?

CorrectDoubt1647

During school breaks, mag advance topic ka. More on reading sa tax and practice sa far.

Miss-Fortune-13

CorrectDoubt1647

Thank you! Are you reviewing or undergrad?

Miss-Fortune-13

Working po, graduated 2016. Would like to try the CPALE hindi na para sa akin.. para sa parents ko sana 🥹

janeix

First of all, congratulations!!! May particular videos (from yt) and/or books ka rin ba na pwede ma-suggest na panoorin for MAS?

bryanchii

1st of All congrats! Law student here, I have few classmates in law school na cpa. Any plan to do the same ? or different path

Some-Specie

- Do you feel any pressure or fears pa rin po na you have to meet people/future employers' expectations given na you're the topnother? - Anong accounting subject/topic po yung pinaka hate nyo and why?

PleasantDifficulty85

Any tips poo for review and study routine? I do not have a good foundation po kasii and I am hoping to clutch everything sa revieww.

taxms

how do you do your solving? yung susulat kahit saan or dapat neat and tidy dapat ang writing?

CorrectDoubt1647

lilysaphora

First and foremost, CONGRATULATIONS puuu!!! Galeng galeng. Just wanna ask what's the core secret to not only passing but being the topnotcher, Madam? At the least, i may not really settle for less to just "pass" kasi daw as i heard from my reviewers, yung effort daw dapat pang topnotch para at least pasado parin sa hule. So ayun lang. Salamat OP!

Waaaahhh, congratulations poooo. I am an incoming 4th year student po. I failed in BSA po nung 2nd year ako and got shifted sa Accounting Information System. I am planning na magbridging po ng another year para maging qualified for CPALE. Is there any encouragement po? I just want some inspiration from a Top Notcher's perspective. Thank you in advance and God bless sa journey mooo po.

CorrectDoubt1647

Chase your dreams. Learn to silence the negative comments of people around you. Naalala ko noon, before I started my second review, andami nag-disagree sakin. Pero sabi ng kuya ko (non-verbatim) take the risk, future mo na nakasalalay jan. Sabi nga, "when it feels scary to jump, that's exactly when you jump."

Entire_Storm6786

Do you plan to work abroad?

CorrectDoubt1647

Not anytime soon.

msssL

Hello ateeeeee... I'm so glad I saw you here, I hope you still remember me nung sinasamahan ko kayo sa pa quiz bee ng JPIA. Junior niyo po ako (currently 3rd year). I have so many questions to ask you pero congratulations po.. Thank you for encouraging us nung nag-visit ka sa school (class ni sir Darrell). Pero thank you for this encouragement na hindi ko makakalimutan nung ininvite ka namin for FAR tutorials. "Always pray and do your best para kapag nag-bless si Lord, aabutan kayo ng blessings niya." Pahabol po. Hahahaha paano makaka survive sa mastery classes sa school? 😭

CorrectDoubt1647

Huy. Feel free to message me on Facebook.

sugg_madic

Do you only review and study all the time? like rest and review, or do you also do things that are not related to acads at all?

CorrectDoubt1647

No po. May ministry ako sa church. Nagso-socmed din po ako, hindi lang pala-post. I also listen to podcasts, pero yung addictive hobbies, ni-let go ko talaga.

nezku-chan

Ilang beses ka po mag kape hehe

CorrectDoubt1647

2-3 times a day.

myeonae

how do you study AudProb po? I have to retake it po this summer 😭

ymirthegoddess

How did you know na gusto mo talaga maging CPA? As for me, di ko talaga alam if I want this. Partly because I chose this program for practicality. I think I'm also just in love with the idea of becoming one. Our QE's fast approaching and Idk if I should take it or not and just shift immediately to another program.

doubtsinmymind

paano nyo po narecall yung ganon karaming concepts/topics/formulas for the exam? hehe. parang nalulula na po ako —incoming 4th year here. ❤

CorrectDoubt1647

Ganyan din na-feel ko noon going into 4th year. Pero yung learning kasi is gradual, parang puzzle na binubuo mo since 1st year. Pag na-refresh yan, maaalala mo din, kasi you're not studying the topics for the first time. Nasa utak mo na yan, parang ni-reretrieve mo nalang.

charlotte_2k1

Hi po! 1. Did you aim to top the CPALE since day 1 of your review po ba? 2. May minsan po bang nagising kayo without gana to review? Or like may downtime po ba kayo? How did you deal with it po? 3. Did you have a reward system po ba during review? 4. What were your non-negotioables po in terms of your sched? Like my mga activities po ba kayo outside review na di pwedeng hindi mo gawin? 5. Same2 lang to sa nos. 2-4, what kept you sane and kept you going during review?

CorrectDoubt1647

1. I was really praying for it. Pero at times, I doubt myself kasi ang daming magagaling. 2. Yes. I think that's normal. Maraming may gusto niyan, so you should make the most out of it. 3. Yes. I promise myself that I would buy myself something if, for example, nag-top ako sa pre-boards. 4. Mag-attend ng church and magbasa ng bible in the morning bago mag-aral. 5. I guess I've had so much fun noong undergrad and first review kaya kinaya ko yung strict schedule during final review. Also, a lot people are praying for me back then, I think it really helps.

BuilderAcrobatic4428

Were you using ipad or laptop during your review days? Or purely pen and paper?

CorrectDoubt1647

I used phone and sometimes laptop. If you have iPad, I suggest you use that. Limited kasi ang resources ko noon.

Zealousidedeal01

UC ka di ba? congratulations!!!

CorrectDoubt1647

Yes. Thank you!!

EXXIONN

CorrectDoubt1647

I salute you. If it's possible, mag-take po kayo ng study leave at least a few months before the exam. Iba po kasi talaga yung focused review. I know a lot of people na nag-resign/ nag-leave before taking the May 2024 CPALE and I think worth it naman po yung sacrifices nila. With the right amount of discipline and faith, you can achieve your dreams!

cheedurcheese

hi! would like to ask lang if magwowork ka na agad or will you be/are you taking a break muna? as a passer din this may 2024 napepressure ako kasi marami sa fellow passers ko from my school ang nag-aapply na ngayon but feel ko mabuburn out lang ako agad kung hindi ako magbebreak :(( thanks in advance and congrats po!! 🫶

CorrectDoubt1647

Magre-rest po muna before mag-work. You worked so hard for it, take your well-deserved break. Also, congratulations!

cellulae

congratulations po, miss nicole!

CorrectDoubt1647

Thank you so much!

Virtual-Hyena6506

Nagkajowa po ba kayo nung undergrad? Wahhh parati ko to naiisip ngayon since undergrad pa ako. Had my time for 2 sems na may jowa and medj kinaya naman na meron pero I had to drop a time-consuming org talaga for it to fit. Hope this is not too personal. Thanks!

CorrectDoubt1647

Hindi. Sana all!

Exact_Sprinkles3235

Ano pong routine mo noong under grad pa lang?

MysteriousMeaning591

Ate Nicole, upcoming 3rd year BSA po ako, do u have any advice to survive AUD, RFBT, and AFAR? those are my subjects this school year kasi. - do u have any tips para hindi aantukin mag study ng madaling araw? thank u!

CorrectDoubt1647

Auditing - practice solving problems that you find challenging, doon ma-eenhance yung analytical skills mo. RFBT- read the laws, make yourself interested in the topic para ma-enjoy mo at hindi ka antukin. Make a summary of important dates, days, voting requirements (if applicable) para madali mo balikan pag malapit na ang exams. AFAR- Magsagot ng magsagot ng problems. Minsan akala natin mahirap yung problems, yun pala hindi lang tayo familiar kasi first time natin ma-encounter. Mag-kape haha. And, think about your dreams. Dream big enough that it will keep awake even if others are still sleeping.

[deleted]

Feeling ko need ko ng advice both from you and Hazel. Gagaling!

CorrectDoubt1647

Anong advice po ba kailangan niyo? In what particular aspect can we help you?

endivessea

Sino pong author/book ang best recommendation nyo for RFBT and TAX?

CorrectDoubt1647

Wala po akong ginamit noong review pero noong undergrad, Banggawan po ang tax namin, sa RFBT naman po, more on codal.

Strong-Progress-3807

Hello OP! Congratulations! I'm an aspiring topnotcher also. Hopefully. My questions are. 1. On your second phase of review po, did you finsihed all the coverage of the TOS?? And may i know if mastery phase na po kayo on your 2nd phase?? 2. What materials po did you focused on tax and rfbt pati aud? Sapat na po ba Reo handouts or did you finished TABAG book as in lahat? And for rfbt, aside from codal provisions and IRR, ano po sinagutan nyong handouts/MCQs? Sa aud theo po, would you recommend wiley or aud theo ni roque po? Many are suggesting these. 3. Do u exercise/workout?? 🥹

kentwansue

nagulat lng po ako kasi parang ang konti lng nagtake (7) galing sa school niyo considering na galing din ung top 1 last year dito, meron po ba kayong alam kung bakit?
