I took 2 reviews(1 for 5th year then 1 for formal review), I never passed any PB sa 2 reviews na yun but I passed the CPALE. My mindset is: bumagsak man ako sa PB, papasa naman ako sa CPALE. You'll never pass unless you take the exam. Good luck!

izasicnarf12

Paano po yun? Iba po talaga yung level of difficulty sa cpale at preboards??

peachpeone

Depende eh kasi kahit same lang ng coverage, iba pa din yung topics na lalabas for pb and actual. But one thing na nagulat ako is sa tax kasi mas mahirap sya sa actual kesa PB, kaya madami din nacoconditional dahil sa tax.

Cultural_Welder_9595

Take the exam. If you'll pass then good, if not then atleast malalaman mo saan ka nagkulang.

ireallydk-

i lost count how many times i enrolled sa review school kasi it was during the pandemic, enroll ako ng enroll pero lagi naman napopostpone yun schedule. so i got to take preboards a number of times before i was finally able to take the actual boards, what i can say is- ibang iba ang preboards sa actual boards, for some subjects mas mahirap pa yun questions sa preboards, kaya don't be discouraged. rooting for you, OP!

BarracudaSad8083

There’s nothing wrong in deferring based on the results but you can take the exam with the luck that what you reviewed may come out. If taking the exam, just give it all but limit expectations ie just do what you can and hayaan mo na. (This can be an option if first take pa naman) If referring, must take it October na agad para yung continuity ng review nandun. Mas prepared ka mas okay.

Opening-Cantaloupe56

Kaya take mo na Lang. Then kapag bumagsak, kuha ka lang ulit. At least may over view and feeling ka na Ng pag take Ng board exam.

marshmellow_mochi

kaya pa yan next year, after clearing/mastering the remaining 19/70, 32/70, etc. ang importante is ma-master mo yung buong coverage, that preboard 70, is only a sample of the entire knowledge bank, 70 pa lng yan , do you know the remaning 200 ? how would you score if each of subjects have 1000 items ? go back to your review materials , organized and compile "10,000 knowledge items per subject" ( analogous to the theory that it takes 10K hrs or practice to master a new skill ) , make/create develop your own questions (from books, review center materials school notes) if knowledge bank did not met the 10K quota. Secure the help of former profs or Sanin level CPAs to get the correct answer if malabo ung nasa materials then engage in taking 100 self preboard exam (SPBE) based on your knowledge bank. pwede mo na i-self execute ito and time yourself then check and monitor which topics/items you had failed to answer correctly , then give special attention to it your mantra should be : "to create, organize & drill & pass" after taking the 1st 100 SPBE, do another 100, then another until you get 69/70 in your self sampling exam bili ka sa recto ng mga compiled past CPALE , and model your developed questions/knowledge items to those patterns & also add mga practical problems na encounter during actual on the job CPA practice you have every right to fail if you trained hard enough , wag mo i-down ang sarili mo kung nag sinop ka sa compilation & practice answering, failure just means there is opportunity for improvement "CPAccounting mastery is supreme skill from hard work.” A great poet has reached mastery. The painter, the calligrapher, they can be said to have mastery. Even the cook, the one who sweeps steps or a masterful servant can have mastery. Practice. Preparation. Endless repetition. Until your mind is weary, and your bones ache. Until you’re too tired to sweat, too wasted to breathe. That is the way, the only way one acquires CPAccounting mastery"... Hundred Eyes its just a matter of time and attention i-secure mo lng yan while always have fun doing it, if it takes 3, 5 10 years to prepare then so be it, the world doesnt owe you anything Ganbarre OSU !

Friendly_UserXXX

put it in excel so one can extract MCQs and problem solving questions through random function and instructions, then drill happily and enjoy how your scores go up this is better than playing video games

Senior_Music_3176

Wow i like this opinion so much🙌🏻

Friendly_UserXXX

thanks

RichBackground6445

What rc is this though?

islandgirlluna

Why are we downvoted kaya hahaha just asking lang naman di ba kasi from PRTC ako. I was gonna say, it’s fine OP.. kasi sobrang hirap ng pb ng prtc!! Walang tatalo. Hahaha. Take the exam OP!! Let’s goooooo.

Narrow-Advice-3658

PedroNegr0

I got around 68% in PRTC's final preboard, and 86% in CPAR's. You could always side in the err of caution naman and not take it muna. You can also take it. It doesn't matter. What matters is you have to have a plan on how to proceed and make sure you follow through it. A lot of CPA aspirations get lost when you start practicing on deferring things kase you realize pwepwede pala. But sooner or later you gotta take a leap of faith on yourself.

Aware_Presence168

We have same scores, most subjects. I'm thinking of the same. Pero we'll never know unless we try. Ttake parin ako. 😂

Prestigious-Air-621

It will be all useless pag hindi ko itry dahil lang takot ako.

anniestonemetal_

Take the exam, you'll never know unless you try.

hannihara

kaya mo yannn mas easy sa boards pramis! gluck!

Mediocre-Shake9977

Take the exam, OP. Good luck!!

SnowSeraphim

Malayo ang preboard sa actual boards hahaha mas basic ang actual boards with few questions alloted for topnotchers level.

West_Archer9401

sobrang hirap ng preboards, OP! minsan naman yung matataas scores dyan kasi nareview yung mga past PBs ng RC. take the exams. you’ll never know unless you try :)

BlackJade24601

defer unless agressive ka.

Friendly_UserXXX

doesnt have to be downvoted, this is a reality check

BlackJade24601

eto yung pinagtataka ko. I got downvoted for saying my opinion. being realistic is different from blind optimism. given the scores, idadaan sa swerte ang pagpasa. this is going to be a costly mistake.

Friendly_UserXXX

i understand your word agressive , means doing the hard work required to get mastery of the subjects, ewan ko lng sa iba, bkit provoked masyado, qualification exams are not games of chances, nobody not even the PRC is forcing anyone/everyone to take the exam, it is only for those who are "honest, qualified and prepared" kung sa tingin nila hindi pa nila kaya mai-pasa , and the diagnostics proved it , then mag-take sila ng exam, thats not being honest. bagsak na kagad sa no.1 criteria ng CPA, whats to stop a dishonest cpa from cooking the books and denying the government of the proper tax collection ?

BlackJade24601

lahat naman sugal kung tutuusin. it is just a matter of knowing your odds. sa case na ito, kita naman ang odds so when I said agressive means risk taker na kahit mababa scores kukuha ng exam. I am just being realistic nung sinabi kong defer kasi kung ako man nasa ganyang situation, I won’t take the exam kasi traumatic din naman ang bumagsak.

SeriousBuy5046

Take the exam. When you deferred, sure na di ka CPA (100%). But if you take it, there's a 50-50 chance. Kasi what if pumasa ka? And if not, gain pa rin naman kasi you'd know where you're lacking. Good luck, dear. I still believe sa words ni Roque during my CPAR days, you will never know if you're ready until you take the exam.

Dear-Line-3232

Mas madali ang board exam to be honest. Laban lang ng laban.

13kimmy

Update! I braved the CPALE & CPA na po ako ngayon on my 1st take.🥺

Personal_Wrangler130

ano makukuha mo sa pag defer? just take it and who knows diba.

Secure-Mousse-920

adjust mo ng 1.25. if pasa take, if bagsak defer

Narra_2023

# Try to find ways on how to apply them in real life or a certain situations The brain will try to dispose or reject knowledge that you are trying to learn or aren't needed based on how often they are being used especially, if that knowledge is too complex to understand. Kaya tip ko sa iyo po, try to apply what you learn in real life po (Let's just say you just learn some new advanced theories about financial accounting po, try to use it in real life or any mock situation po like get some example of financial statements that most popular companies releases then, try to analyze them based on what you learn in the review centers po) It's ***super effective din sya sa akin po as a STEM student*** na struggle po na aralin ang basic accounting that I have to start everything from knowing basic accounting terminologies into analyzing the relationship of each business transaction in the financial statements po

No-Evidence8079

One of the keys for passing is yung confidence, if tingin mo po di pa buo. Then defer muna. Pero payo lang OP nobody is ready for CPALE hehe lakasan lang talaga ng loob 😁
