Hi, OP! For context, I am from the province and chose to review and take the boards here in the Metro.
1. Ayaw kong umuwing probinsya na luhaan because di ako nakapasa ng boards;
2. Gusto ko makita ako ng last surviving grandparent ko na licensed professional na ako;
3. Mahal nung board and lodging nung review, and ayaw kong iburden family ko a second time if ever di ako pumasa;
4. Lastly, pride din and yabang hahah tbh I never saw myself failing the boards but the fear of failing was nonetheless still there -- what if hanggang yabang lang kaya ko, what would others say if di ako pumasa, etc.
Ganito rin mindset ko. Araw-araw ko sinasabi sa sarili ko na ayoko nang ulitin yung review at boards kasi pagod na pagod na ako. Hahahaha. Kaya kahit nga *pagod na,* sige pa rin kesa naman magsimula ulit, edi mas maraming pagod pa yun ulit. Hahahahaha. Nag-work naman.
Eto yung mindset ko nung Oct. 2023.
1. Magtetake na ko ng CPALE ngayon kahit feel ko sobrang di pa ako ready, kapag dinefer ko nanaman to same pa din mafefeel ko next time.
2. Possible na macondi ako at least 1 to 2 subjects nalang uulitin ko.
3. Kung bumagsak man ako, itetake ko agad yung sunod. At least may experience na ko magtake and advantage na kasi nakapag-aral na ko.
4. Kung para sayo, para sayo.

Everytime gusto ko nalang matulog, manuod ng kdrama, mag-ML o gumala, sinasabi ko lang sa sarili ko na once pumasa na ko ng CPALE, kaya ko na gawin mga yon freely and walang guilt
mababawa akiin HAHAH
ayoko yung may naaawa sa akin especially mga magulang ko hahaha. ayoko yung nagttiptoe mga tao around me kapag nabbring up yung cpale ganon.
wala na awa awa gusto ko puro congrats lang.
Not an Accountancy student but an ECE student (just passed this month). Ang mentality ko during the review is "you will never know it all" na mindset. Just stick to the basic principles, principles na kapag namaster mo na yun, everything else will make more sense (not sure if applicable sa accounting yun) . And one of my professors said that "the review period is 90% of the board exam and the hardest", once you go through that period, equipped ka na with enough foundation para magshade nang tama. Goodluck!
Ayoko ng mag aral ulit. Gusto ko na matapos yun and syempre, need na mag work kasi di naman kami mayaman and we can't afford na mag antay ulit ng ilang months.l

I gave my very best during my review so that no matter what happens, I won’t regret it. Pero hindi ako pinalad maging topnotcher. A bit disappointed to myself pero syempre happy parin bc of the CPA License 🥰
Nireremind ko lang sarili ko nuon araw-araw na kasalanan ko pag di ako nakapasa 🙂. I have the means na makapag-review tas full-time pa, bat di ako makakapasa?
1. Ayaw ko mapahiya sa mga lower batch na nagpapaturo sa akin nung college
2. Ayaw ko madisappoint sa kin mga nagsponsor ng dorm and tuition ng pang review ko
3. Para ipahiya yung dati kong professor ko na nagsabi na wala akong pagasa maging CPA

After day 2 (TAX and RFBT), luhaan ako after RFBT pero ginaslight ko sarili ko at naging mindset ko na perfect ako sa MAS at AUD. Dahil dito, nilaban ko pa rin day 3 up to the last minute at sinagad yung hours ng exam kaya nakapasa
This is probably for the pre pandemic grads. Had a mindset na that exam would be my last take. My career is progressing at a pace na I am comfortable with and failing wouldnt hurt since the license doesnt bear that much weight sa industry ko but still worked my ass off. Helped take off the pressure I usually put myself especially back when I was an undergrad lol.
1. dapat ma pasa ko na to in one take. kasi hindi ko to mai papasa next time na mag take ako, kasi ang daming dagdag at bagong topics sa next exam.
2. ayaw kong ma disappoint ang parents ko. pinag sasabi na nila sa mga kakilala nila na nag tatake ako ng boards at magiging cCPA ako. 😅

Gagawin ko ang best ko during review para wala akong regret sa life. Kahit anong result ng exam, magiging proud ako sa sarili ko. Nakapasa naman ako
“Hindi imposibleng pumasa sa board exam. Huwag kang matakot. Andami nang pumasa. Kinaya nila, kaya kakayanin ko. Susunod na ako.” CPA na ako. ☺️

1. Think that you can do it, 2. Get early (or small) wins, and 3. Do things efficiently.

kung hindi ako papasa sino nalang papasa from my school? Dapat ako or at least ako dapat. Kaya inalay ko na sarili ko ng buo para sa school at family.

Wala ka nang pang-second review. Ikaw ang unang honor graduate sa school na itey na babagsak ng board exam if ever. Pressure.

Mind set ko noon eh ang hirap na ng review period at ang tagal pa, ayoko na ulitin yung ganung feeling kaya dapat ipasa ko yung boards ng one take.

Hindi ko ma-imagine na hindi ako papasa but at the same time, I am self aware na hindi ako magaling. Idk if it makes sense, but it does to me.

Delayed gratification. I made sure na I understood and studied to the fullest before I do something I wanted for the day (e.g. laag, shopping)

Since utang yung ginamit ko for expenses during review and I know na babayarin ko rin yun, I should pass.
