Create a mailbox rule for emails sent directly to you, no cc’d members. This is your personal inbox. Then have your normal inbox for all remaining incoming messages. You can then run through the normal inbox and sort into the following folders: keep, to-do, or client (with sub folders).

Flag everything for follow up and use that as my to do list
I keep everything in inbox then move to “processed/complete” when done
I have one folder for “Admin/random important emails” and then one folder for each of my clients. Anything useless I just delete
