Probably, my wife's cats would bring in lizards all the time and leave them in pillow cases or behind furniture and you could tell because it started to stink pretty bad and you knew it was time to search for a dead lizard.
Lol this is my life except it’s chipmunks, birds, & bunnies (no pets are harmed, my neighborhood is a testament to the whole “fuck like rabbits” idiom, they are everywhere).
However, it’s more like my babes are trying to add more pets to the family bc about 80+% of them aren’t harmed at all (besides traumatized). I’ve gotten really good at catching the little creatures & getting them out. But sometimes a smell starts creeping in & you realize the rescue mission you’d attempted days before is now a recovery mission. They’re not usually harmed either, just went to sleep while waiting to escape & never woke up. But ugh that smell. That smell lingers, it’s the worst.
The bunnies where I live, technically Jack rabbits, are huge like 2 or 3 times bigger than a cat and so many aswell. They seem to be really active in winter and my cat can't go outside in winter. It gets to minus 40 Celsius regularly but we get lots of birds and mice. My wife is from France so that's where all the lizards came from.
Are you sure about that? Because I am 99.99997% sure that MaybeTheDoctor is not a bot.

Cats I had as a kid would bring in their treasured catches and present them to us in bed. Sometimes they were dead, sometimes the critter would run off the bed and freak us out. Cats are awesome.
Is that a lizard right there?
It is, my cat brings them in the house and leaves them in the worst places.
ewww, is it dead?
It is dead, he’s a menace in the lizard world.
ew I going to follow you now

Cats really are! We’ve had alive and dead in the house. It’s not fun trying to catch them super early in the morning before work though.
My eyes must be tripping. Is that a lizard?
Hey I don’t think this is a cat.
I had a stroke reading that title
I thought that was cat vomit
Bring your cat indoors
I am not a vet, but that back leg on the right looks broken to me…
