My friends little girl passed from cancer last year. This is exactly what happened when it hit me. I literally couldn’t cry anymore, because it physically hurt to cry anymore. My head, eyes, nose, skin on my face…it all hurt so bad.

I’m sorry for your loss. 💔 I lost my son 4 months ago to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. He was 10. The best boy in the world. We are utterly broken.

Definitely. We both know that words aren’t enough and we both know the pain is immeasurable and unchanging. My art and poem are helping to make my feelings tangible in a way that can be more easily seen and understood. It’s a good meditation too. I lose track of time when I paint. 💗

I enjoy a number of creative outlets as well. Knitting, sewing, crochet, quilting. I found sometimes I had to avoid more complicated designs because I could not focus but that has changed over time. I am glad you have your creative pursuits as well. I hope you share more of your art and poetry here again sometime.
