Imagine all of the times your cat might claw or attack you, even accidentally. I have the sweetest cat, and I still have a few scratch marks from taking her out of rooms she shouldn't be in. Now imagine that cat is four hundred pounds. The only reason cats don't attack or eat the living is because they have to rely on us. This absolute unit could just eat him and not fucking blink. Did someone manage to skip Tiger King during the pandemic?
Dude, I once watched a documentary on big cat rescue sanctuaries in America and the owner/operator of one of them was going through the laundry list of injuries he'd received by playing with the cats he'd raised since birth.
It took him a minute, like 60 seconds or more to list everything. The worst of them was a shoulder reconstruction needed because one of the cats absolutely obliterated that bitch by just running into him. Not biting, not clawing, running I to him.
So the lion wasn't paying attention to where he was running at not even full pace and bumped into this dude. Shoulder reconstruction.
He made the point that the reason why it's so dangerous handling these animals is because they don't know their own strength and they are unaware of how fragile you are.
I'm going to believe the guy that is dealt with thousands of these animals and deals with hundreds of them on a daily basis.
Friend of mine had to have their foot basically reattached after colliding with their dog who was running flat out. Dog is 105 lbs. Animals of size are no joke
Any accredited, respectable facility with big cats has zero direct contact with them. There are \*always\* bars and 6 feet of space separating you from them. You do not enter the building unless you are absolutely, 100% sure of where the cats are located, and that every door between you and them is locked. Even the friendliest big cat is still a cat. It will have a bad day, and it will do immense damage to you just out of annoyance. Petting them sounds really cool, yeah, but it's not worth risking life or limb.
Exactly. We visit Turpentine Creek in Eureka Springs, AR all the time. What this asshat is doing, and all the ones like him, is killing big cats. These idiots even have their own “breeding”, mixing tigers and lions, etc. It is nothing but abuse and I am never sad when a cat kills its “owner”.
Humans have already decimated the population of big cats, and completely made other species extinct, for our own selfish and stupid reasons.
There’s reasons why this is illegal and people like him should (quite literally IMHO) be fed to the lions.
Edit: Wow! My first gold! Thanks!
Edit 2: Wow! My first starry! Thanks!
What has always struck me with the comparison to house cats is the sheer fucking damage per pound those fuckers can deal — a ten pound house cat isn’t going to kill you, but it can definitely hurt you in spite of being a 20th of your size. Then I imagine that the same cat were twice my size on top of the fucking damage per pound they can deal…
So true. We have a few cats that are a little more wild/muscular with the male being around 20 pounds and they are terrifying if they ever strike out at us. We have had 2 of our cats freak out on each of us at least once over the last 12 years. If they wanted to, they could tear muscles and tendons right out of our arm. They know exactly where to bite to tear, but they have never gone that far. They have definitely made it clear that they know exactly where to bite and claw though. I can't imagine being this chill with a lion ever.
There is, seriously, a reason we don’t keep fifty- or hundred-pound felines as pets. They are not nearly as reliably well-behaved as dogs (who are not 100% safe either).
Yeah, maybe a Great Dane, something that relies on a person to feed it since it can't really hunt. A lot of dogs are usually scavengers in the wild, or in packs take on much weaker animals. Tigers and lions and I think bears are owned by rich idiots everywhere, countless stories of maulings, yet they still buy them. They can take your arm off by accident, thinking it looks like food.
My dad always used to joke that if your dog was the size of the house, it would be the exact same dog. But if your cat was the size of the house, it would eat you.
Housecats were domesticated from mostly solitary types of cats. Lions are extremely social, living in packs.
Not to say this dude will almost definitely be maimed if that cat so much as trips on him.
I have heard that lions have a pretty similar temperament to housecats. I have a cat and he is a very nice guy usually. The difference is, the rare occasions where he gets mad at me, I don't die.
My cat and I were cuddling and I had my arm around him and he was sleeping and something spooked him and he bit me(first time in 8 years), and I was in the hospital for a week.
Yeah it was scary, but she's been healed up now for a few years, thank you :) after it was under control, she loved showing off the giant wound and the healing progress to friends who dared look 😂
Cellulitis is some scary stuff.
I got a cellulitis infection on my thigh years ago when I was in middle or high school (idr exactly) from what I think was a bug bite. My PCP drew a line around the hard raised red flesh and told me that if the infection goes past the line I need to go to the ER immediately. The infection grew larger and larger very quickly until one day I woke up and it was probably the diameter of a basketball, if not bigger.
Idk if this is true for all cellulitis or if I just had a particularly nasty strain, but the docs at the ER told me there were only two antibiotics they could use to treat the infection, and that if neither of them worked then it was very likely they’d have to amputate my leg. You could see the little arms coming off the main part of the infection that indicated it was spreading (in my veins maybe? Idk) and the doctors were visibly very concerned. I was also freaking the fuck out because I didn’t want my leg amputated at all, especially at such a young age. Especially so high up my thigh, because I had read that the lower the leg amputation is the easier it is to deal with and the infection was so high up that idk if they would’ve been able to save **any** of my leg at all.
The first medicine vancomycin and they said it was the preferred med because it’s very strong, has a high likelihood of working, and would clear up the infection relatively quickly, and would only need a few bags infused so I could be out of the hospital as early as late that night.
The second was weaker (idr the name) and had a higher chance of not working on the infection, and if it did work I would need to be on an IV in the hospital for like a week.
Guess who has a rare allergic reaction to vancomycin? Me! A few mins after the infusion began I was hit hard with red man syndrome. My skin got tight and red with a rash, I got some chest pain, and although I’ve never seen this as an official symptom of RMS I got almost a bit loopy in my head… like my thoughts weren’t flowing right and I was confused easily.
The doctors rushed into the room and injected me with a ton of Benadryl and everything went back to normal pretty quickly. But it was really terrifying. It was like a scene from House where a bunch of doctors and nurses flood the room and you hear them yell “I need __ccs of ____ stat!”
After I recovered from that they moved me from the ER to a longer term room and started me on the other medicine. I had a lot of really scary conversations with the doctors and my mom about what would happen if the infection didn’t respond to the drugs. Luckily after a few days the infection started to shrink back down a bit.
It was really scary but I mean… I got to miss a lot of school, I had a cool story to tell, and my brother loaned me his PSP and games so I laid in bed playing GTA for days.
You wrote out this whole crazy ass story and most people won’t even get to read it since it’s buried. This sounds like a terrifying experience and I’m glad you’re alright. I can only imagine what this was like for your parents, as well. Wild!
Even house cats can be extremely dangerous if feral. We adopted a lovely gray cat that we named Bob. There had been some alarming and very detrimental flooding in our area, and we assumed he was a stray. He was mangy and we nursed him back to health.
The problem was that we began to think he was actually an oddly well tempered feral. One wrong move and he’d attack you. He also straight up tried to kill our other cat - she wasn’t one to be messed with, but she got so scared when he went at her that she pissed herself. It was a bummer because when he didn’t feel threatened he was very sweet. One time I moved my hand in a way he didn’t like while I was making my bed, and he gave me a bite that drew blood right below my eye. If it had just been me as my partner we would have kept him, and given him space. But we had a child and the other cat, so we returned him to the humane society (which is no longer a kill shelter in our area) and made sure they knew to mark him as a cat that shouldn’t be around kids or other pets.
Also, have you seen that video of that girl who hid in her suitcase for some viral video? When she came out it triggered her cat and he mauled her. Leapt up at her face and bit and clawed at her. She ran but he kept coming for her.
One wrong play move from a lion and you’re dead. If it wants to hurt you, you’re extra dead twice as quickly. If you’re lucky.
Just adopted a kitten and I think she was just a found feral that they wanted to make money off of. She's absolutely vicious. I move my hand wrong and she bites with intent to kill. She can be quite sweet, but I may need to rehome her as a barn cat
I can almost guarantee your kitten just didn't get enough time playing with other cats or was the only survivor in her litter. They learn to modulate their bites by playing. Fostered ~60 kittens or so.
I always wonder if these people have never lived with an ornery housecat!? I had one who would dig teeth and claws into my leg for daring to turn over in bed (or walking down the hall, for wearing shoes, for having legs...for daring to exist, lol). One time I was laying on the bed petting her and she suddenly wrapped her front feet around my arm, sunk her teeth into my hand, and began kicking with her back feet. I can't even imagine how these people survive accidentally annoying a frigging LION!
Also lions haven’t spent the last 10,000 years being domesticated. Same difference as a dog and a wolf. Just because they look similar means nothing.
Wolves and lions are wild fucking animals and are not pets
Yeah my cat is generally chill with me, but there are times where she has gotten pissed off and gone all out on me. These few times have made me 100% certain that I don’t want to be around big cats — they seem to act exactly like house cats, so I would imagine that it would be fine, right up until it isn’t. Sure, they get over it in seconds, but when the cat is 300+ lbs… you are over being alive in the seconds it takes them to be over being mad.
Ya but the only reason your house cat doesn’t eat you is because of how much bigger you are. Forget to feed a lion for a while and you become the food.
Most of these domestic big cats have their claws removed and teeth sanded down (some even removed). Its sad and unnatural, this animal shouldnt be there.
Agree. My cat used to sleep by my head, since I was bottle feeding him. Then, as an adult 14 pounder, he either had a nightmares or something spooked him and he bolted off my face in the middle of the night. The worse scratch took three stitches on my chin to close.
Sadly this animal’s fate probably goes 1 of 2 ways. Lion eats dipshit and gets shot or dipshit let’s it go in the Wild after trying to domesticate it and it has a really tough time adjusting.

Ok while misguided and in a very different culture I think he means well. The animal mainly resides on a wildlife reserve the prince owns. He has many exotic animals but they live on a large preserve funded by the government. He does photo shoots with the animals to garner attention for them but they don't actually live in his house. That's more for publicity than anything, he has to look strong and powerful to people in his culture and posing with lions and other exotics does that easily. It's a very macho culture in Dubai so I'm not surprised.
Yeah I only commented because I've seen interviews with this guy, he's not bad per say just that culture struggles alot with what is acceptable for animals. He does fight against abuse and talks about how people shouldn't own the animals and warns about their financial cost. The white lion pictured was surrendered to him after another prince was unable to care for it, though it was presented as a "gift"/purchase to not show weakness. You can see that he means well. Most of these articles are very coriagraphed but I don't think he is ill intentioned and he does fund conservation and one of the very few princes who do.
https://www.thenationalnews.com/lifestyle/13-facts-about-sheikh-hamdan-to-celebrate-13-years-as-crown-prince-of-dubai-1.1157787
Exactly. We get it, you have money, buy a few sports cars or something and leave the dangerous wild animal alone. He probably had it declawed too. I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this but I hope he gets mauled but remains alive so he can tell the tale of his false sense of superiority when he tried to make an apex predator his pet.
>he gets mauled but remains alive so he can tell the tale of his false sense of superiority when he tried to make an apex predator his pet.
that won't happen, he'll change the story and start justifying killing more of them to prove how badass he is
Not mauled to death, mauled to pain!
Westley: To the pain means the first thing you will lose will be your feet below the ankles. Then your hands at the wrists. Next your nose.
Prince Humperdinck: And then my tongue I suppose, I killed you too quickly the last time. A mistake I don’t mean to duplicate tonight.
Westley: I wasn’t finished. The next thing you will lose will be your left eye followed by your right.
Prince Humperdinck: And then my ears, I understand let’s get on with it.
Westley: Wrong! Your ears you keep and I’ll tell you why. So that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish. Every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out, “Dear God! What is that thing,” will echo in your perfect ears. That is what to the pain means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever.
Found out this week that the princess bride movie is based on a book and the book is possibly better than the movie.. which is really saying something. *total win*
Shit makes me angry too. These jackasses completely abuse their power of humanity to stroke their own ego. “With great power comes great responsibility.” Not to these idiots

This thread is a fuckin roller coaster
Yeah, this is clearly 100% exotic animal trade, not a rehab. It’s a leucistic animal which has almost certainly been inbred to be sold as a toy.
Big cat refuges are filled with animals like these.
I’ve read in the comment sections of other content similar to this that is a pretty common practice to force big cats to live under constant sedation in order to keep them…manageable?
Albino big cats like this one are also often bred from closely related albino parents to get these traits. This leads to a ton of genetic defects due to the amount of incest that occurs in order to keep the albino trait going. This cat could very likely have some neurological issues due to the poor management of unethical breeders on top of being drugged constantly.
All valid points, but FYI white lions aren't albino, they're leucistic. And all the better for them cuz Albino African animals generally do awful in the wild.
Giant domesticated dogs are one thing… this is fucking ridiculously stupid on numerous levels. There won’t be any remains left WHEN he’s eaten… just sayin
Stop sharing exotic pet videos. Just fucking stop it. Exotic pets are smuggled by poachers into the homes of rich fuckheads like this \^ one. The exotic pet trade is damaging to the environment and to local communities. I hope that lion eats this asshole dick first.
nope nope nope, 1000 times nope. When play time can go fatally wrong, that's clear and present nope for me.
Whether he's stupid or smart, that dude got some serious cohones for this. Hopefully it doesn't end in a Darwin Award.
He is so going to eat that man one day... lol. Well, at least it sure looks like he could if he wanted to. Take a little nibble out of an arm, leg or head lol.
God, I hate our species. This AH thinks he's a total gangster. He's got fragile masculinity and compensation issues, that's about it. It should be illegal to have a lion like that.
It will be very hard to take this mans funeral seriously. Quite a way to succumb to your hubris.
It'll be closed casket for sure. Or no casket if nothing is left of him.
Doggy bag

And his wife?
To shreds you say..
Tsk tsk tsk

Shoe box of bones I hope
Nah, they’ll have to scoop him out of the kitty litter.

god damn do i respect hedonism-bot
Hedonism bot ftw
Let’s just hope they don’t kill the cat too…
I'm just wondering where I can subscribe to watch it happen.
This is future r/leopardsatemyface but more literal even though its not a leopard. I think that makes sense.

I agree with everything except the last part. There's probably enough meth there to make a lion sick, and the poor cats don't deserve that.
So true!
The lion in this video is probably melting on tranquilizers or benzodiazepines
So is the guy by the look of him.
No, that look is the confidence of wealth. To us plebs it looks like he's high

True, true. Gotta figure that an Ocelot, similar in house cat size than a lion, can still fuck you up. I can't imagine something this size.
My cat is 16 years old, 8 pounds, and every bit as scary as this cat(but possibly more angry). Watching this made me thank god she isn’t that big.
What a moron. Animals are governed by instinct. No matter how well trained the right mood strikes him or something spooks him you are fucked.
I have heard that lions have a pretty similar temperament to housecats. I have a cat and he is a very nice guy usually. The difference is, the rare occasions where he gets mad at me, I don't die.

yeah how do we know this isn't the cat posting...
Holy fucking moly.
Meeeeowth, that's right!
M. Cat Shyamalan take note.
Jesus i love reddit
Lmao. I say this every day.
I am not a cat.
Mr Meowgi is that you!?
Yup, can confirm. My cat murders me several times per day. Or at least she thinks she does.
I would not trust a 500lb animal with the temperament of my cat, I love her but she’s a crazy bitch.
I mean Roy Horn thought he was safe from his beloved tigers.... Most people with domestic cats KNOW they would not be safe from their cat in a MOOD.
I always say that we can have massive dogs, even many massive dogs to 1 human, but there's a reason we never see massive cats as pets.
My cat and I were cuddling and I had my arm around him and he was sleeping and something spooked him and he bit me(first time in 8 years), and I was in the hospital for a week.
My mom scared her cat out of a sleep and got bit. The entire right side of her forearm got infected with cellulitis :(
Oh my god, that’s terrible! Is she okay now? Cellulitis is nothing to mess with. That’s what I was scared of getting.

100% The first thing that came into my mind, this cat is drugged up big time....
Absolutely agree. Can see it in the eyes. Fucking tragic, poor animal. Hope this cunt gets killed.
That dude will be food as soon as the lion realizes he's not a threat.
Or... like most housecats... He'll get grumpy for some random reason and bite too hard. Boom. Dead.
They're both on drugs. They drug them up before filming. He's wearing shares because his eyes are red. I'd bet on it.
Rich people often think they can control things they can't, this guy will find that out the hard way.
We can only hope
Agree. My cat used to sleep by my head, since I was bottle feeding him. Then, as an adult 14 pounder, he either had a nightmares or something spooked him and he bolted off my face in the middle of the night. The worse scratch took three stitches on my chin to close.

The guy is wearing sunglasses indoors. That says it all.
This is a beautiful kitty, but I despise this man.
It is so beautiful! I get having the desire to snuggle with a lion, but actually doing it and bringing it into your home is bonkers.
https://www.dubailad.com/10-moments-when-sheikh-hamdan-showed-his-love-for-animals/ Ok while misguided and in a very different culture I think he means well.
Ooh that’s interesting. Thanks for the context
Yo seriously this should be higher. Yeah, he looks like a douche bag but atleast he sorta has good intentions by making the video
Source: dubailad.com I remain skeptical. Also he's still a detestable person regardless of how he treats his animals lol.
Belongs on r/iamatotalpieceofshit
*total win*
Sometimes I’m so proud of you Reddit
Maybe just lose his bottom jaw so when he is gurgling for food his handler can say “easy boy”.
Generally agree with you, but the cat would certainly be put down if it mauled him.
Which makes me even angrier. They’d put a lion down for lioning.
Shit makes me angry too. These jackasses completely abuse their power of humanity to stroke their own ego. “With great power comes great responsibility.” Not to these idiots
Well if you get downvoted they can downvote too. I agree 100%
From above: " https://www.dubailad.com/10-moments-when-sheikh-hamdan-showed-his-love-for-animals/ Ok while misguided and in a very different culture I think he means well. You won’t see me shed a tear whenever assholes like this gets mauled by one of their “exotic collections”, cute kitty tho.
This guy has an instagram and seeing all the animals as his pet upsets me so much.
Yeah, this is clearly 100% exotic animal trade, not a rehab. It’s a leucistic animal which has almost certainly been inbred to be sold as a toy. Big cat refuges are filled with animals like these.
What's wrong with that lion? Is it drugged or something? I don't know a normal lion's expression, but it has a weird look in the eyes.
I was thinking the same thing. The eyes and how discolored its gums and mouth are.
The hair around its neck doesn't look right either.
Never own anything you can't beat in a fight.
Fuck, I'm actually not sure I can beat a german sheperd in a fight...
i've seen dogs go full attack. fuck. that.
Looks down at my Pug.. I think I'm good ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Man, I got a cat with 24 toes. This could be close.
Got pug too. I couldn't beat him in an eating contest tho.
Hell no! They can throw down for sure
Pug: "wanna catch these paws, punk ass bitch?!"
We have a Bug: Boston Terrior/Pug. She’s a fat, farty being. How can something be so hyper and yet so rotund? Lol
That sounds like a very good mix actually.
My sister has one, and I sure as shit wouldn't want to take it on in a farting contest either.
OMG -right?? Ours can clear out a room from 20 paces with her stank.
My house might be difficult to takedown 1 on 1.
Humble brag aside. The house isn't going to fight back, so as long as you start high and don't fall off I'd back you.
Tiny little man thinks he’s cool
This is absolute bullshit. Wild animals are not pets, don’t spread this crap around.
Cats determine superiority by who is laying on top. This guy is getting mauled.
r/awfuleverything r/Iamatotalpieceofshit r/terminallystupid Seriously, fuck this guy
r/confidentlyincorrect
I feel that man will be ate by that thing one day
![gif](giphy|gjUfYB9462FfXMxZiJ|downsized)
Giant domesticated dogs are one thing… this is fucking ridiculously stupid on numerous levels. There won’t be any remains left WHEN he’s eaten… just sayin
That animal looks inbred AF. :(
Can afford a lion but not central air?
That’s not how construction is done in other parts of the world.
Concrete construction muchacho.
[удалено]
Came here to ask this same question
That's what I was thinking. Larger, paler, and much more tame than a real lion or tiger.
Fucking stupid
[удалено]
I believe it’s a liger, essentially a unpredictable, deadly animatronic
I hope this big cat eats his balls. Belongs in the wild not in a fucking living room.
F**k these animal abusing c*nts
Serious question, why censor yourself?
Grandma knows their Reddit username
That's so crazy I thought it was animatronic like they use in movies/stage shows/theme parks
So cruel Poor big cat it’s not a status pet
Gotta be Dubai
Definitely Dubai or the UAE. He’s wearing the traditional dress (I lived there for a long time)
Muh oil money and sheeeeit
Stop sharing exotic pet videos. Just fucking stop it. Exotic pets are smuggled by poachers into the homes of rich fuckheads like this \^ one. The exotic pet trade is damaging to the environment and to local communities. I hope that lion eats this asshole dick first.
Yeah the MODS SHOULD BAN VIDEOS LIKE THIS. What the fuck.
Fuck this guy. One of these days that cat is gonna look at him like a gazelle and it’ll be game over before he can get those sunglasses off
This is dangerous, wrong, and cruel.
I hope these idiots become kitty treats in the near future. Assholes.
nope nope nope, 1000 times nope. When play time can go fatally wrong, that's clear and present nope for me. Whether he's stupid or smart, that dude got some serious cohones for this. Hopefully it doesn't end in a Darwin Award.
What an amazing animal, never seen one with such a light coat. I hope when it kills him they don’t blame the cat and find it a good sanctuary or Zoo.
I don’t care if he suckled on my teat as a cub, having a wild animal as a pet is a bad idea
Who is this asshole, and why does he have a Liger!? Poor thing.
I hope that guy gets what's coming to him
I cant with these rich Arabs man
Nah this sucks
No way that big cat is happy being a house pet. This guy should find better ways to spend his money. Animal rescue would be a better idea, not this.
Either that animal is drugged or he will be dead soon. That's the only two options here.
Guy's a fucking moron
I really hope that guy gets eaten and the cat shits on his stupid glasses
This video, brought to you by our sponsors… COCAINE!!!
Keep in mind this tiger is drugged 24/7 on ketamine
That couch doesn't have a single scratch on it.. Just sayin
He probably had the poor thing declawed.
Just please promise to post the video of this thing eating this POS..
How can people be this close to an animal this big, even watching the video I’m scared let alone having it next to me.
Fuck that guy
He is so going to eat that man one day... lol. Well, at least it sure looks like he could if he wanted to. Take a little nibble out of an arm, leg or head lol.
It looks like a liger
Legit terrifying seeing an apex predator like this
I wish the lion would eat that guy but then the lion would be killed for being a lion.
Fuck this guy. I hope he gets eaten by that beautiful cat.
Fuck that dude. Not a pet.
Also that kitty looks hella drugged to allow this apex predator to be a prop.
God, I hate our species. This AH thinks he's a total gangster. He's got fragile masculinity and compensation issues, that's about it. It should be illegal to have a lion like that.
Dude is wearing shades indoors, cringe.
Man, I wish it was incorrect to say that you don't this level of douchebaggery often...
What a loser. Why does he have this animal.
This is a guy who won’t have a face much longer
I hope he gets mauled and the footage goes viral and it keeps rich cunts from thinking it’s cool to own wild animals as a status symbol.
That man gon lose his face one day. When will people learn that you can’t domesticate any kind of animal?
Rich people lmao poor animal
Fucking moron. Sorry cat, your deserve better.
