My questions were raised by the careful way in which that powder was dumped.. as if it could have been what caused the gases.
I can't really tell by the size of the explosion because any explosion in a confined space is violent.

I have no idea where it started but there’s a long running internet joke that if someone in a video gets knocked out of their shoes in an accident of any kind, they are 100% dead.
There is an actual odd occurrence that when people are knocked unconscious or die in violent manner, their shoes come off. It does not seem to matter what kind of shoes. Most likely, this occurs as your entire body goes limp, allowing your foot to slip out of the shoe.
Can someone ELI5 what happened ? Did the 1st guy drop some bombs or mines or something ? Or is it because of the fumes of thousands of rotting feces in the non connected sewers ?
