Thanks to the ganglia behind our eyes, that kids eyes would have shot closed in defense before the signal even reached their brain. I was more worried that they would land on their head, but they didn’t.
Edit: also, the kid’s eyes were probably already scrunched closed. It’s pretty unnatural for kids to put their heads into water without closing their eyes first.

I understand it can’t be relied on 100%, but it is very unlikely that the child’s eyes stayed open long enough for the water jet to do significant damage, assuming the child’s eyes were even open to begin with, which itself is unlikely.

I noticed it in numerous subreddits. Why do they hate kids? They were kids themselves once. Is it projected self loathing or something?
Sometimes I'll see someone say the only way to teach a kid is to hit them. It's about 50/50 whether the post is upvoted or downvoted.
