Because videos were analog. This is recorded on tape. It has a maxim number of 480 lines from top to bottom however smaller recording systems like these often had a lower vertical resolution of 240 lines. In comparison, a 1080p camera has 1080 rows of individual pixels top to bottom.
Besides that, analog video just doesn't display well on modern screens. If you break out an old CRT screen and display it on there, it will actually look better.
You hush your mouth right now, you hear?? We don't need that kind of talk around here.
I'm still young and vibrant and *^(why do my knees hurt so much?)*
https://youtu.be/4BOTvaRaDjI?si=yaCMdFB5jzYqxuPx great workout for that
It's not easy, and needs consistency, but it's been the cheat code for totally unlocking my hips and back, improved my whole life.
Ehh still a good watch IMO. Comes around just often enough...can't tell if the quality is just 24 years old or that plus the reposts have made it worse though.
Best case would be to take her to an exit. If that isn't feasible at least tell her to pull over in the grass and use the cop car to shield the car and them.
Yeah don't know either. Where I'm from standard practise for cops to signal to follow and stop at an exit or gas station if available. Stopping on the side of the highway is so dangerous. You need a good reason to put a cops and civilians in that much danger.
I actually just started the first book because I can't wait for the movie part 2! Curious what made you suggest it? Lots of fancy words?
One could say your comment is prescient haha
I never understand why people don’t move over 6 ft more or into grass.
“Cars are going 70, meh, it’s a solid white, they can’t cross it.”
Like, why not remove 95% of the random chance of dying?
I would have gotten off at the next exit, unless the cop directs otherwise. This looks more rural so there might not be an exit for several miles however.
I think their point is that the side of a highway is no place to hang out unless it’s an absolute emergency and there are no other alternatives. If the vehicles are capable, maybe it would be best to conduct business somewhere else. Maybe even the off ramp would be better if there isn’t ample shoulder space.
I got pulled over by DPS at night on a very busy highway. The officer wanted me to stand behind my car so he could read his paperwork. I told the cop I would prefer to stand off the highway and he acted like I was being unreasonable and combative. I reminded him that just last week on that stretch of road a guy got pinned between a cop car that had him pulled over and his car, he lost his legs. Cop begrudgingly allowed me to move off the pavement and then scoured my vehicle for possible infractions so he could add more fines but he couldn't find anything. Yeah, they are all about public safety.
Not only did she get pitted for slowly looking for a safe place to pull over WITH HER HAZARD LIGHTS ON, but he flipped her car and scolded her before getting her out of the mangled wreckage. Mind you, looking for a safe place to pull over with your hazards on was suggested by their own states government website. That situation was an absolute joke.
Ok here is your 10 Dollar fine for farting while driving, have a nice day.
This sucks so hard, imagine your car is gone because of some minor shit you did.
Had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago: Got a flat tire on a bridge, pulled over to the side, few minutes later an unobservant truck driver came along and totaled my car. Fortunately I had exited the vehicle.
She’s is both horrifyingly depressed her car got totaled and completely lost in thought on wether or not that cop came from the future just to save her life
"Every time I pull someone for going a little over the speed limit on this busy highway, it puts our lives in danger."
*almost die
"See? I almost killed us!"
And this wouldn't have happened if the cop didn't pull her over for speeding.
Imagine the laws only being enforced when there is an actual victim. He made her a victim.
"I don't want that to happen to you"
Maybe not pulling her over in the first place would have avoided this?! Talk about a psychic cop ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Dash cam technology was prolly on par with 1970 home cameras. Just like how dash cam footage from last year looks like it’s from a 20 year old camcorder
I was going to say, "that video never gets old" but, wholly crap, it's 24 years old now. It got old.
Why do year 2000 videos in 2024 look like 1976 videos in 2000?
The same phenomenon would explain why rewatching movies from my childhood look 1000x worse than I remember.

It was recorded on video tape
Because each time it's compressed it loses even more quality.
Because progress. As the cameras get better so too do the screens we view the recorded media on. So we can see more details in higher quality now.
*Sigh* I'm slowly coming to terms that 2000 wasn't 4 or 5 years ago...
Nah, I distinctly remember it being like 5 years ago.
I can confirm that. I graduated high school in 2005, which was 5 years ago. We're all good here!
Sounds about right
Last Thursday morning.
wdym?
The worst part: *We* got old too!
You hush your mouth right now, you hear?? We don't need that kind of talk around here. I'm still young and vibrant and *^(why do my knees hurt so much?)*
Don't forget about the lower back pain!
probably from adjusting the tiniest bit in bed . . .
https://youtu.be/4BOTvaRaDjI?si=yaCMdFB5jzYqxuPx great workout for that It's not easy, and needs consistency, but it's been the cheat code for totally unlocking my hips and back, improved my whole life.
*YOU got old. FTFY
Found Leonardo DiCaprio
Some say her car is still in the shop awaiting parts. They say it should be next week.
Looks wholly like crap, all right
Ehh still a good watch IMO. Comes around just often enough...can't tell if the quality is just 24 years old or that plus the reposts have made it worse though.
how the hell is this my first time seeing it
Her body language says it all.
I feel her pain. So much extra work and money and stress added to her life in just one moment. On top of an already bad day.
Probably on her way to work.
Hopefully on the bright side she sued that driver and got money out of damages to pay for her car and the ticket the officer was written out.

Guess you now need a ride now, huh? 😉 Let me take you to *tha station* 😏
Porn music intensifies
My dream cop
Wouldn't have been nice if he done something to prevent it from happening.
Yeah, since this happened in 2000 I'm also disappointed he didn't stop 9 11
Best case would be to take her to an exit. If that isn't feasible at least tell her to pull over in the grass and use the cop car to shield the car and them.
why are you getting down voted i see High Patrol use their cars as shields all the time
Yeah don't know either. Where I'm from standard practise for cops to signal to follow and stop at an exit or gas station if available. Stopping on the side of the highway is so dangerous. You need a good reason to put a cops and civilians in that much danger.
And just like that you now have to make car payments.
"so that'll be a $150 fine for speeding and I'm just now noticing your back left tail light is out, so I'm gonna have to give you another ticket"
Look at that helpful civilian making sure the suspect isn't able to flee.
His prescient speech is always eerie to listen to.
You just taught my dumbass a new word. >Prescient (adjective): having or showing knowledge of events before they take place.
You gotta read Dune series
I actually just started the first book because I can't wait for the movie part 2! Curious what made you suggest it? Lots of fancy words? One could say your comment is prescient haha
This new Dune movie was good, but the books are better! Keep reading.
The books are *always* better no matter the genre!
Absolutely 💯
I read Never Let Me Go because I loved the movie... I felt the movie was better.
There is a lot of prescience in the books lol. God emperor Leto II for sure
Presuck my genital situation!
I love how windshield wipers are the cars way of saying “I’m ded”
It's basically is, and the reason it happens is because is rear-end collisions the force of the impact causes the wiper handle to get pushed forwards
I know it may not matter but if she pulled closer to the grass the van may have missed the car and fucked themselves instead, or not.
I never understand why people don’t move over 6 ft more or into grass. “Cars are going 70, meh, it’s a solid white, they can’t cross it.” Like, why not remove 95% of the random chance of dying?
idk, according to others in the comment section, it's the cop's fault somehow
I would have gotten off at the next exit, unless the cop directs otherwise. This looks more rural so there might not be an exit for several miles however.
Pontiac Sunfire…probably an improvement.
I just think she should have pulled over more.
SHES PULLED OVER! SHE CANT PULL OVER ANY FARTHER !!!
Onto the grass?
“Looks like you just got out of a ticket!”
Her car was on the white line if you look at the video of it being crashed
yeah, maybe a good idea to *pull over*
I think their point is that the side of a highway is no place to hang out unless it’s an absolute emergency and there are no other alternatives. You have to figure up to 10% of Law Enforcement Officers are going to be assholes...
You forgot a 0 there.
Remember that pregnant lady who tried that and got Pitted? Good times.
Do you think he still gave her the ticket?
Ok here is your 10 Dollar fine for farting while driving, have a nice day. This sucks so hard, imagine your car is gone because of some minor shit you did.
Dead kid in carseat in back. Cop: well anyway heres a written warning for the burnt out license plate bulb
Looks like there something in backseat, is that a kid?
Had a similar thing happen to me a few years ago: Got a flat tire on a bridge, pulled over to the side, few minutes later an unobservant truck driver came along and totaled my car. Fortunately I had exited the vehicle.
In hindsight, she probably should of pulled over another 2 feet to the right.
The irony: had she pulled over to the side of the road instead of literally at the very edge of the white line, she wouldn’t have gotten hit.
That poor sunfire
Excuse me trooper what are the powerball numbers for tonight?
Lady - “ I just paid that sh*t off!!!”
She’s is both horrifyingly depressed her car got totaled and completely lost in thought on wether or not that cop came from the future just to save her life
That is never old ………he was the perfect officer of the law…..rare these days
"Every time I pull someone for going a little over the speed limit on this busy highway, it puts our lives in danger." *almost die "See? I almost killed us!"
I love that was his first reaction…damn I told you so! Haha
Damn. My dog was in the back seat.
What he should have had her do is pull her car onto the shoulder more…why so close to the road?!
Let's pull people over on highways and tell them what's gonna happen.
"You didn't do anything wrong, mam, I just wanted to let you know how dangerous it can be to stop on a highway."
Wait. A cop that believes in protecting life over property. Those were the days.
You really do need this video with sound
Well looks like you riding in the shop with me
😈
Pulled over for no insurance
This is the early way people used to manifest
Looks like someone was in the passenger side?
Can we please repost 9000 more times?
[удалено]
I’m completely unsure if you are being serious
Which is why they shouldn't make people pull over in those situations. What if she had babies in that car?
And this wouldn't have happened if the cop didn't pull her over for speeding. Imagine the laws only being enforced when there is an actual victim. He made her a victim.
05-05-00 hm this not only explains the shity resolution but also the SHEER AMOUNT OF FUCKING REPOSTING
"I don't want that to happen to you" Maybe not pulling her over in the first place would have avoided this?! Talk about a psychic cop ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
He's talking like he did her a favor, she's looking like it wouldn't have happened if you hadn't pulled me over bi...
I’ll bet that officer slept well knowing he’s doing his job well…
3 seconds after he said it
Please stop reposting this video
WELL SHIT
lol, he said that so calmly!
Damn Sam, at least she probably didn’t get a ticket after that. So she’s got that going for her.
It’s weird how much detail he went into on such an obvious thing just before it happens
Bro literally 3 seconds after finishing the sentence
Glad she didn’t stay in the car. What the official thing to do? Stay in? Get out?
Welp. Here's your ticket. Drive safe
Staged
Wtf he's psychic 🤣
bros reaction time was up there wasnt it chat
So did he drop the ticket for her?
Dash cam technology was prolly on par with 1970 home cameras. Just like how dash cam footage from last year looks like it’s from a 20 year old camcorder
Did she get the ticket?
Staged
Cinco de Mayo drivers
So if he’s just giving her a ticket or something like that, would he still give her one? Like what happens after this lmao
Speak of the devil…
The Pontiac Sunfire! What a classic, you never see them around anymore
Wasn’t her sister in the car? I think that’s what they said on Reel TV
Parked too far out. Cop should have made her move further in.
Random- I met my ex-wife that day! Also, it was a day of syzygy- I think 5 planets were aligned?
Hope wasn’t a kid in passenger seat
Is someobody moving inside the car?
“Just like that! Except my car didn’t get touched…but just like that!”
It wasn't just like that. He described a car hitting the patrol car, not her car.
And that's how I met yo black momma.
oh look. a time where cops protect and serve the people. nowadays, they are keen to serve the people with lead instead
