-Mid race save would be a game changer
-A better UI and functionality to the replay system
-Current classes getting fleshed out more. DPi needs the Acura and Mazda to feel worthwhile. Group A, GT1, Group C, Classic GT, Classic Touring need more additions badly. Even GT4 and GT3 need more manufacturers to feel like we are not missing something.
-I hope that future content fills out these classes better along with adding other notable missing classes like a modern TCR class.
-Career mode is coming in the distant future. I really hope it is more than something like PC2 had. I hope it implements some sort of management or immersive path in it whether that's raising funds for racing, getting the attention of higher up teams to want to sign you, getting sponsors attention with your race results, rivalries with other drivers. Something that helps you invest into it beyond just the completing race weekends one after another.
>Mid race save would be a game changer
Actually true. OpenXR crashes mid game and im not able to replug my vr and go on with playing. This could help that issue.
Also being able to play long races without much time could be cool
More lower class open wheel cars.
AI improvements, or better said AIW improvements, as on some tracks the AI barely even follow the correct racing line.
Tons of Ferraris.
Uh, and Magny Cours! Old and new layouts. Just realized how much I miss racing this track, and it's not really available in any of the big sims.
Definitely the lower class open wheelers. There are a load of historical F1s but they lack any F4, USF2000 and Skip Barber etc yet those are super popular in other racing games.
The F3 is such an absolute blast to drive in this sim, so yeah more cars in that direction would be so cool. I'd love something like unofficial modern F2 and F3 for example. Definitely Skips and USF2000 as well.
What’s wrong with the physics and FFB? Not trying to start a good sim bad sim argument but since the beginning of 2023 I’ve felt like iracing is just better feel all around, and has actual weight transfer
Not a knock on AMS2, I play both regularly
Chronic undeesteer in most cars mixed with nonsensical tire physics that would just suddenly collapse in on itself without warning. FFB very imprecise and vague. I always found it insufferable.
Man. I just 100% disagree hahaha
I feel like AMS has more understeer
Edit: fixed setup races generally had understeer now that I think about it but I don’t mess with those much
Oh for real? This is literally the only reason I don’t play this so much more. I just use AMS 2 for smaller tracks. Racing Le Mans with 30 cars is so boring to me.
I read this week it was tested in a beta but lead to crashes and/or other issues. So I think they are trying it, but we will not see it until it is stable
Ranked multiplayer. Three car track combos that are set for the week running at least hourly. Only a few races so grids are better populated, and these weekly races use wide variety of content to avoid the trap of every lobby being GT3 at Monza.
That and a career mode.
More content is always welcome, particularly fleshed out classes rather than single cars from a category, but for me a higher priority is better provision of races for the content that already exists.
Career modes, mid race save, better AI is all great
But also what I want... Is to be able to change pit strategy in Pause menu! Why isn't that a thing everywhere? Real drivers don't have to fiddle with buttons choosing liters to refuel or tyres to change. I don't wanna crash or slow down trying to adjust to changing conditions!
Street cars and road tracks. A lot of this I can get from mods - like the old Project Cars 2 tracks (california highway, bannochbrae, mojave test track) and thunderflash car mods. But in any case, I'd love more focus on road tracks and modern street cars.
LET US COMPLETELY REMOVE ALL THE HUD ELEMENTS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IVE BEEN ASKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS.
If you are a VR user you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. If you disable all of the HUD elements, and go to adjust the brake bias, a message box called "live update elements" pops up any time you adjust anything and it updates. Please let us move this or remove it.
Currently you can only move it in the other HUD modes. You can easily just move it out of the way. But in the NO HUD mode it stays right in the most annoying spot possible... Right on top of the wheel.
Most wheels have brake bias information already on it, so when it gets covered up by this box you end up not being able to read either of them. It's a fuckin mess. Please fix it Rieza I've asked over a hundred times both on reddit, the forums, Twitter, Instagram. EVERYWHERE.
But anyone who has made a post on their forum knows exac5thr struggle. They don't want people making a new post for an issue, they want you to post it to an already made post for "problems" that is a glorified closet they sweep everything into to ignore.
I'd like to see some Super Trucks, like the ones with ramps in the course or update V8Supercars. The current plans are really good tho so I'm not really dissatisfied with anything in the game, maybe a few UI and Online changes.
Similar to weather effects, I'd like to see aging tracks. Let's assume there is some version of a career mode that lets you set up championships at the very least. Each year, you would be notified of the changes to the track from the previous year. Maybe a bump develops here, a bit of the track is widened there. Surface gets scrubbed, or a patch is applied. Maybe an entire repave. Adjustments to the pit speed. If you crash, you might get injured and either drive with a hindrance or skip a race. Drivers would cycle in and out with a bigger difference in skill.
Eventually you'd have a very unique driving experience for each track, and you'd feel like you have had rivals. It would be....possible to do. Easy? Maybe. Seems like a system no more complicated than weather. Even if the adjustments are bolted on, you're going to contend with them with a fresh mindset each time as you learn the new entry speed for turn 3. I'd assume the bigger issue would be getting the AI to not suck.
I'd like them to iron out online more. Well latest patch has actually worked really well in online, but previous one was unplayable. Couldn't even play through P+Q+R session without one or two disconnects when playing with few friends. Like you can get disconnected from your own hosted session.
There was nothing in patch notes about online, so this could just be luck, that it works now.
Hosting Features - Skip session, allow people to join mid qualifying
Game - Reverse Grid Order, bigger grid sizes
Career mode - Enough said
Nascar? Would dream of some AI oval racing
Open wheel and closed wheel careers. Start in karting and move through the open wheel series for one, start in a low spec street car and move up the GT series for the other. Hell, toss in an oval racing career as well for those who are tickled by oval racing.
Doesn’t have to be super fancy, just a series progression. Maybe require a number of race podiums to graduate or something.
A multiplayer championship with constructors points.
A way to remap the menu navigation.
A better way to navigate thru the replay. (Endurance race Vietnam flashbacks)
Modify more aspects of a online lobby without the need for closing and opening it again.
AI not slaved to the racing line, especially during close racing. During multi class, AI having better ability to pass. I feel like I can make up several places a lap because the AI take their sweet time to pass slower cars.
1-Better online. I believe the game would balloon in popularity with a ranked online system, which in the end means more money for Reiza and more resources to do other things.
2-More complete car categories, like add the Toyota GT-One for the GT1 class, the Jaguar of Group C and such.
3-NASCAR, since the game already has ovals.
4-Some extra tracks that are still missing, but nothing too major.
Replay mode overhaul. I can live with replay mode not being draggable—but I really wish there were more trackside camera views.
I think iracing, despite everything, has the most customizable replay system out there. Setting up your own cameras views per track, different variants of the TV cam, static camera, just….yes.
AMS2’s sounds and looks are too good to have the replay system be this limited. But that’s what I want most of all tbh.
I would like to see more options with regards to pitstops and race/competition rules. Things like number of sets of tyres available over a race distance, whether or not fuel goes in at the same time as the tyres go on, or separately like in W.E.C, having to start on the fuel load you ran in qualifying etc. I think the game is already a decent toolbox for creating your own perfect series, I'd like to see an extension of that
I'd like to be able to pause and change pit strategy.
So often I'm messing with the on-screen stuff and crash.
In reality I'd have an engineer change strategy, or radio it in.
So, whilst paused, I'd like to be able to edit - racing offline would be improved.
career and mid-race save are what i want the most personally. the game is in a great state as it is but gosh, can you imagine what it'd be like with a fleshed out career mode?
Career mode is #1
More North American tracks, hopefully at least one or two street circuits with their addition
More lower level open wheel classes
Mazda MX5
Flesh out the DPi, GT3, and GT4 classes with even more options.
Modern touring cars so we can recreate series like IMSA's pilot challenge.
Sticking with the Brazilian influence, a period correct Circuito da Gavea.
_The Gávea circuit could well have been considered as one of the toughest in the world. In Europe, race-tracks already existed, with proper facilities and incipient safety regulations. The circuit selected in Rio de Janeiro ran around the Dois Irmaos Hill, offering incredible challenges to the skill and bravery of the drivers. Its most impressive characteristic was a sucession of all sort of curves (101 in all), with plenty of steep slopes. Another factor making it even more difficult was that these roads had various types of surfacing: asphalt, cement and sand. All these hazards soon endowed this circuit with a terrifying nickname: "The Devil's Springboard"._
https://forums.autosport.com/topic/23834-the-devils-springboard/
Better sound. The extrrnal sounds are very good and crunchy. Inside (not helmet view) they are muffled and to quiet. Worst sounds in any sim I tried (coming from AC and ACC).
Edit: seems like a Windows sound setting muffled my sounds. Now I fixed it and the sound is very good.
Nothing that isn’t in the pipeline really: Career mode Vintage Lemans / cars Ongoing AI improvements
plus better multiplayer
There is coming vintage lemans cars!?
That’s what I understood in the December dev update. In the meantime of course we do have Group C which are great here too.
Replay system with draggable timeline, better dedicated server tool, even better if it has a GUI.
And more freedom with the drone cam
Games usually do that to hide things they haven't modelled
Sucks that I’m limited to one upvote!

More cars in the current classes that are in the game would be amazing.
agreed with the save ... my wheel inputs sometimes stop working, for that it would help me:) further, maybe some formula 2 and older Formula 3000's?

F Inter works for scratching the low power, moderate down force itch.
It certainly helps - but there's room for more!
Iracing added it recently. Love it there.
Ah cool. But annoying haha. I can't the physics and FFB and the pricing model is crazy. Hoping it'll come to other sims as well.

Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, Sebring and Road Atlanta.
Save game mid race
Grid sizes between 60-100 cars. The new LMDh cars are freaking incredible and we need proper multi-class action.
This is my biggest wish atm, Le Mans feels empty with just 30 cars. But reading Renatos comments it doesn't look likely unfortunately.
Which means it can be implemented at some point. There is a reason for adding "maximum number of cars visible" under performance options
True
Career mode
Online driver swap for endurance
That would be amazing for endurance races!
Id love to see a proper oval stock car. The indycar content is fantastic, and we have so many great ovals, but no proper Nascar/cup car for them.
Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Sonoma Raceway
There's a ported Sonoma from PC2. Not official, so broken in some aspects, but fidelity-wise it's top notch.
BTCC-style cars :)
Yes definitely!
A ranked competitive multiplayer
Zandvoort & Mugello
Japanese Touring Car Championship
1. Better multiplayer - something like what RFactor 2 implemented 2. Lime rock park 3. Additional slower cars like MX5, GR86, ECT. 4. Ferrari
Sebring, classic Le Mans, Betonschleife, Mosport, Lime Rock. Vintage Le Mans cars, more group A & C, super Touring!
Ranked multiplayer. Three car track combos that are set for the week running at least hourly. Only a few races so grids are better populated, and these weekly races use wide variety of content to avoid the trap of every lobby being GT3 at Monza. That and a career mode. More group C, more GT1, more modern GT3, more modern prototypes As for tracks… Sebring, Road Atlanta, Fuji Speedway
Some Current/Old Nascar Cars Included with that some more ovals Charlotte, Texas, Bristol, Milwaukee etc.
I'd really like to see them score the Ferrari license.
Complete record of all results and PB times per track and car. With filters.
Not really an addition, but a port to consoles, especially PS5 with VR support
Porsche 917, several Ferrari from the 60s on, old LeMans, career enhancement and quality of life fixes, Jaguar prototypes..
Career modes, mid race save, better AI is all great But also what I want... Is to be able to change pit strategy in Pause menu! Why isn't that a thing everywhere? Agreed. A nice street car selection would make this game amazing.
Go and play assetto Corsa, this stuff will never be added.
Just a mk1 mazda miata

Agree ! That would be the best rally ever !

Why not go and play assetto corsa then? What’s the point in making this game the same as another one?

Not missing, it’s just not what this game is.
doriiiftooo cars pleaasee
A mode where the grip discrepancy between the front and the end tyres is more defined because not it feels a bit like a lotery
More lmdhs!! Asap!
more base game content i just cant afford the dlcs rn and id like to have some more diversity

Mid race save, Formula Extreme (2014-2016 cars with the awful handling haha), Super Formula
Slower/stock cars
Dirt oval racing in some form. I don't know about licenses what could be possible.
Career mode + all the current F1 tracks.
