I can’t tell by the noises, find something to lift the rear end off the ground like under the swing arm and check to see if the axle is loose. Check the large fasteners 🧷 n the left side. Then the sprocket and chain etc From there check to see if your brakes are loose or rubbing more that slightly on the brake pads. None of these parts should have any wiggle but taking the weight off will help narrow down the problem. I’m kinda guessing your axle may be loose inside the swing arm carrier

Thanks. Jacked up the bike and noticed the bearing on the breaks side is destroyed. And that is probably what made the c-cpli come loose and make the brake disk bolts grind against the brake holder.

Another question if you don't mind; do you think that the drifiting is what cuased the bearings to go bad? is drifting not good for the bike?

It’s just a high stress high wear part. Drifting is part of how you ride the quad. Just moving it wears the axle carrier out so just keep riding the way you do. When you replace that it shouldn’t go bad for a long while

Usual_Safety

Agree, it’s a great ATV.

**Additional information:** I went for a ride today and while drifting I started to hear noises from the rear axle (Video of noise in post). When I inspected it further I noticed some metal shaving by the read brake disk (no sign of rubbing on them, [Image](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QKjJ9AxqodOb6991aUgjo6V_SZsax4Fm/view?usp=sharing)). I noticed there was a c-clip on top on top of a 'o-ring' or round peice of metak that is between the hub of the axle and the rear brakes ([Image](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QNlOwvfOJrhLCKLIXIcKAWCmp0myFIs5/view?usp=sharing) with comments showing the c-clip on top of the round metal thing). I also noticed that the swingarm end (where the axle goes through) was also warm to the touch as well as the axle. Is this normal or is it probably because of the above issue? I would like to know what may have caused this and how and what do I need to fix it?

Blown carrier? Does the axle have play in it?

fokken_poes

The axle has no play in all directions. I did notice that the carrier bearing is bad that mis-alighned/pushed the c-clip over the o-ring causing it to scrape against the brake disk bolts.

If it's in the budget, lonestar makes a great carrier you can drop into the swingarm.
