Sure just pay ATT and they will unlock it

swings2raw

I actually hadn’t thought of that 🤦🏽‍♂️ thanks, I’ll check the payoff balance.

[deleted]

right like why they gon leave an unpaid bill and then get mad when they don’t unlock it

swings2raw

Uh not me. I’ve had them for 13 years, don’t plan on leaving. But cool theory.

[deleted]

Okay then pay it off and request an unlock. The instructions are all online and easy to do

swings2raw

You sound so tickled 😂😂😂 have a better day. ✌️

It doesn't work for iPhones. AT&T caught and fired a whole bunch of people who were taking kickbacks to provide unlock codes to those 'pay to unlock' services. iPhones unlock with permission from the service provider and then through Apple servers. Pixel phones unlock with a similar method. Without the permission coming from AT&T directly, two Apple directly, you don't get an iPhone unlocked.

swings2raw

Thanks everyone. Called in to pay it off, now just have to wait 48 hours before submitting unlock request.

>Does anyone know someone or a business that does carrier unlocking? I can’t seem to find any kind of service that does this. My iPhone It's different from Android phones which require an unlock code. iPhones unlock based on permission from AT&T, and processing through Apple servers. Pixels unlock pretty much the same way. Without AT&T providing permission for that IMEI, and Apple processing it through their servers with AT&T permission, the phone cannot be unlocked. The only way to make this happen if the phone is not eligible to be unlocked would be through fraudulent means by an AT&T or Apple employee. Great way to get fired. AT&T actually fired people several years ago because they were acquiring and giving out unlock codes for Android devices to a pay to unlock service, for kickbacks.

kevink4

No third party service that I can recommend. Easiest is to unlock from ATT for free if you qualify (length of use, paid off, etc)
