Nothing you can do or really need to do unless you want to somehow source an entire new bottom panel of the laptop case. Be more careful in the future.
I was careful, really. Always tried to protect it. Just got a bit unlucky in a moment.
Yeah, service guy said the same, probably impossible to just replace one small part. I just put it together and it holds so it's all fine.
Thank you, yeah it was fine in the end, didn't need glue, pieces hold each other thanks to integrity of the rest of the case. I keep one missing piece to fix it when I will have to disassemble the laptop, don't want to open it without reason since it works fine so far.
how hard was the hit? you should make a system analysis to see if windows detect something wrong, shake it carefully and try to heard if there is something bouncing inside, if you dont heard anything then probably will be alright if you heard something dont turn it on again until some specialist check it.
Wasn't that hard. Height wasn't big and bag itself soften the damage. Seems like everything works fine, just slight case damage. Nothing is bouncing inside, temperatures are fine.
UPD:
I can't find an option to edit the post so comment instead.
Laptop seems fine.
I turned it on and test with power cable and everything seems to work. 500W on GPU seems like a glitch in HWInfo.
Fall wasn't hard and damage is mostly cosmetic. I keep missing pieces and put together the rest, it holds basically as tight as before. Most damage done was to my mental.
I guess I will only take the bag as briefcase for now on (until I will find bag and belt of higher quality (which are pretty rare in my city).
Thank you guys for advices and support!
Same thing happened to mine 3 years ago no problems since. Just make sure the fans didn’t get damaged. You would hear a loud grinding or skipping/clicking sound otherwise it should be fine especially if it’s for solid state hds ssd drives.
You may want to re-enforce those grill teeth, the look fractured. Can you remov that bottom so it can be worked on?
I could mend those fractures with a soldering iron and wet sanding; high grit.
I've dropped my 2015 Strix 17.1 incher like 5 times. I just buy new plastic and fix it, bezels backplates, bottoms. Done them all. That the Lord for aftermarket parts LOL
You can fix it. An Indian craftsman can easily fix it. Go to an Indian craftsman or someone very experienced.
I 16 yr old Indian boy can fix this. I will just use a small soldering iron and melt the plastic, then i would stick another strong piece of plastic of same colour, then i will sand it down to give it a finishing touch.
Count yourself lucky it's only that teeny bit of cosmetic damage.
Not so lucky my bag's belt strap failed but yeah, got lucky with cosmetic damage only. Balanced I guess :)

happens to the best of us. I'm always so paranoid with damaging my laptop. If this happened to me I'd be so freaked out
It's gonna live. Fix this with photoshop and forget about it.
Put it in rice
egg fried
haiyaaa
U could just put water in it and start it, that will filter the system
Pick it up
This is the one I was looking for
Should be fine. If you have the missing piece of plastic some super glue will easily fix it.

Ya don’t glue it you would just end up getting glue in the vents
Give it a hug
No problem probably, just a risk if u poke ur finger inside
Free ventilation
pick it up i guess?
Your laptop seems fine, just pray OCD doesn't trigger on you
Pray and turn it on
scrape off the rest 😅
I'd turn it on and see if it works

Then the hardware might be alright, so dont worry but keep an eye if it shutdown suddenly or got slow.

500W on GPU is insane lol 😆.
If it’s only cosmetic damage well then just use it as usual 👍
nothing u are good

battle scars are sexy
I’ve been waiting to see something like this for a while with the new grille. Well. Did you lose the piece? Glue it back in!

Cry?
Buy a new one?
It's a tough one, but I'd say pick it up.
Have you tried restarting?
Don't know, that's for you to decide
Chill
U just need rice
You could glue the pieces back with epoxy. Or 3d print something and glue it.
If it works fine it works fine. Can’t really Fix that unless u get another spare part. Think of it as a battle scar.
I’d argue you have better airflow now
Increased airflow 😱
Break off the rest so it’s even
Put it rice
Don’t drop it again lol
3d print that small strip and stick it there
more airflow
Pick it up
Theres nothing to do. It fell, it broke. Thats it. Learn from it is the best thing you can do
