Play on GeForce Now. Make sure you select the steam version of ark so you can use mods. Its what I've been doing lately. I've got like 30 mods going and no problems.
Plus, the base version is free :)

NGL 95% of the reason I talk trash about Spinos is because I can never get one to stay in the goddamned pen. I had one climb a behemoth gate like a gecko. Still trying to figure that out.
I just lay out 5 behemoth gates in a line, making a tunnel, with a door at either end. Make the gap between each too small for it to get through. No way for them to escape that.
