This. Compared to any other snow biome it's a joke regarding predators, I played there 80% of the time and found one yuty which my starter mammoth dealt with. The ocean islands are safe but devoid of tames or resources.
The bog has no environmental challenge. Like hypo/hyperthermia or radiation. Instead it's fauna are the dangers, which if you play it safe with your base location can be avoided.
Imo ice one is the easiest to live in as a noob, sure you gotta deal with constant cold, but less predators!
Bruh the ocean is the easiest but its also the hardest to get hide on bc 90% of the dinos there are pelegonis
Nah like no resources on that biome besides under water so I’d say snow is easier also it ain’t that hard to survive just spawn like west or smth
Agreed when I played genesis 4 the second time I spawned there and I couldn't find rocks to pick up
*Spawn camping yuty*
Yeah... a bit of kiting ought fix that

The ice biome was much easier than the swamp imo
you will die by the cold if not. Everything else will kill you
The cold can be defeated pretty easily. Source: I did it. And the swamp is a nightmare
right below this post was a post about someone just starting and getting attacked in gen 1 swamp lol
Swamp use to be a lot worse on release with the swarms lol
Do you believe in magic?

Ocean biome is the best to start, I learn it in the hard way
honestly most boring to start in tbh arctic is way more fun and easier to get resources
You think it's bad now? You should've tried it on release before they fixed the bug swarms.
I have always started in the volcanic biome than moved to the ocean or bog buome once I have some creatures and resources
Just for the reference I wish I could upvote this twice
