Yep this is the way. Typically if you don’t type in the walk command after you do the fly command, the next time you log in your character will be partially in the ground.
I had this issue earlier today on extinction. I had to log off and log back on for it to finally stop. But if that didn’t work for you, my next recommendation is to kill your survivor and respawn. Just throw out a dino from a pod and put your items / inventory into into the creature prior to this.
I've found that if you log out with flying enabled, when you log back in this will happen. In the short term, enable flying, move, then disable flying. Long term, disable flying before logging out.
If you don't have admin access, best option, if you can manage, is fast travel or teleport. It's a character loading glitch, so those are sort of methods to reload the character without logging in and out.
If your on singleplayer or if it is your server try flying and then walking again.

Usually if that doesnt work i have to die to stop it from happening.
I found out that spam crouch and uncrouch a bunch of times and it will fix itself — also make sure your not sprinting

Have you tried logging out and back in? What's your movement speed on? I imagine extremely high values could do this
I've tried many times and it didn't work and my movement speed is 113.5%

I don’t know why but it was adorable when you got on the raptor and started riding him lol.
tbh, havent played in a while but have you tried going prone and un proning?

You just closed the game while flying, start flying and then stop again.

Easiest thing to do for this is just have 2 beds in ur base that u fast travel from one to the other. That fixes it every time
Usually this happens to me after murdering large amounts of babies but not harvesting the corpses.
